Kira has absolutely outdone herself with book 5 of the Arelia LaRue series! I waited so patiently (well I wouldn't say so patiently but as best as I could) for this books release and now that I've read it I'm not disappointed. When Arelia comes back it's like a race against the clock, the time of confrontation draws nearer, secrets are held and wolves wear sheeps' clothing. My favorite characters are back, and they're evolving and changing because it's what's needed. With several plot twists I didn't see coming, I was holding onto my kindle turning every page and holding my breath waiting for the next thing to pop up. When it did I was blown away. Kira did such an amazing job throwing you off the trail that when I got to the end I was speechless and I had to sit for a few moments and reflect on it before even trying to write this review. I remember picking up my first book in this series and then buying the next ones, then I went insane waiting for the rest. Kira's writing has the ability to alway give the reader the craving for more. I need to get my hands on book 6!

These stories keep throwing more twists and turns. It's exciting to not be able to guess the end of it. I can only hope that she can save them all, set them all free.

While the premise of this book is a unique blend of voodoo and history, I felt like the story deviated away from the original storyline making it hard to enjoy. My main issue with this story is that it began to feel like it stretched on too long and lost what was intriguing about the original story. I do not want to spoil any of this or the other books in the series so I will be brief. It felt like Arelia's voice was lost in the history and secondary characters in the story. I think this story would be best read in continuation without any time between the books as most, including "Suppressed," end with a cliffhanger and the pick up right where the last book left off. I want to read the next book to see how it all will end, but if the next book is not the end I do not think I will continue with this series.

This book made up for the previous two books in the series! I know Kira took a bit longer with this one due to the fact she was unhappy, but honestly, I think the time she gave to it proved to make it her best was worth it.

GOOD JOB!

1000000000% a 5 star read..

NOW THIS IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT BABY!!

Some of the books in the series thus far have been lackluster at times but THIS?!!?! SOOOOO happy I didn't give it up!

My girl Arelia kicking ass and taking names. THIS is what I wanted from a voodoo paranormal romance. SO excited to finish the series soon.

I really enjoy these books, but the one thing that is bothering me throughout all of them is the typos and spelling mistakes that are often found in kindle e-books. Other then that the story is great.

It’s been so long

I think I was waiting a really long time for this to come out so I had a hard time remembering the other four books prior. This does but a lot of the past together and I think it’s very interesting so I will have to get the other two books and finish the series.

This series is another one that after reading it I want to smack myself and ask why the hell it took me so long to start reading it!! This book is literally the epitome of what hoodoo and voodoo cultures brings to my mind. There are times in the story I can almost feel myself back in Louisiana alongside Arelia and Lucus. Suppressed is the make it or break book in the series.

Arelia has finally seen the horrors of her past life and knows her purpose in her present day world. She has so many obstacles to face to end the pain and suffering of so many people past and present. She’s barely an adult facing a situation she’s ill equipped to handle on her own, but with her memories newly released to her she has a better tool box to draw from. It isn’t until Suppressed that you see the inner strength from Arelia finally radiating on the outside. She has to embrace that strength, her past and magical gifts to face the final showdown.

This isn’t your typical YA kind of world. It’s dark and twisted on its best day. Saito has built some serious literary fame with her ability to just bring twists and turns literally out of nowhere that will leave you reeling and contemplating how in the hell you didn’t see that coming. The spirit world is as enchanting as ever throughout the series. The bevy of Cajun folklore ties in beautiful with the hoodoo and voodoo premise of the book. The timeless love story is epic in its own right, yet is perfectly balanced with the action of the novel. I am very much looking forward to the next book.

Absolutely love this series! Although, I feel that 4 stars is being generous because of the grammatical errors, seemingly rushed writing in some spots, and problems with the timeline in one instance. However, this story was definitely a nail biter and I have a soft spot for the Arelia LaRue series. Saito kept it fun and interesting with the voodoo history. This series is so much fun to read and you really don't know what to expect. I thought I knew where the story was going, but I was surprised.

BEATDOWN! I finished all of the other books in 2 days or less this one took me months because I had to keep stopping and coming back to it. I don't know if it is because it dragged or because it has been so long since I read the others but I am hoping the next one is better. The last 3 chapters were great but I am not sure they made it worth reading the rest of them.

Suppressed

This book was slow going. I kept trying to remember the last one. Nearing the end, it all started coming together. I wonder will the curse ever be broken. At least Louie and Aurelia are now on the same side. Hopefully the sixth book will end this torment.

It took me a bit longer to get into this book. I'm so glad I stuck with it. Once the story grabbed me I enjoyed it just as much as the ones before. I am impatient for the next.

I didn't like this book very much. Maybe it's just dragging on too long. Maybe it's a tad corny. I don't know, I just wasn't that into it.
