Riots? Plague? Armageddon? Child’s play for…the Drunk Monkeys.
Dolce Quinn is a former sniper and military mechanic trying to find and rescue her friends now that Los Angeles is coming apart at the seams. She teams up with a neighbor and formulates a plan to avoid the riots and Kite virus, but they still have to escape the city safely.
The Drunk Monkeys have a line on another doctor from The List. When Roscoe and Niner try to rescue the doctor, their plan almost goes to hell in the face of an oncoming mob until Dolce steps in and saves their bacon.
Banding together, the group takes in Dolce and her neighbor. When a devastating earthquake levels the region, they must evacuate. Just one little problem—they still have a military mole to take care of. And when you mix a grease monkey with a couple of Drunk Monkeys, there’s a whole lot of shakin’ going on.

Los Angeles is almost destroyed. Kite virus, earthquakes, fire. A city is chaos. Everyone is running away from it.
The Drunk Monkeys find another lost scientist, Reverent Silo is dreaming of a future where everyone obey him and he can impregnate many willing submissive young women, Silo's wife is dreaming and planning Silo’s destruction.
And the two Monkeys Roscoe and Niner are falling in love with Dolce.
The book ends with a cliffhanger. Two Monkeys need rescue.
I really enjoyed the book!
My only objection about this series are the book covers. I think they are really really bad. If I didn't know Tymber Dalton and I didn't know what a great author she is, I would have never picked these books after looking at these covers.
3.5 enjoying the series very much. Very entertaining. Just want to say, I dislike the whole imagery of the word inflate when it comes to males. It put this whole picture in my head of some squirrely assistant under a desk pumping furiously at a hand pump. ....purely personal....pool floaties inflate!
This one both took forever to read, and then yet felt really short. I started it on holiday but didn't get to finish it before coming home, and then I feel like I never get to read more than a page or two every few days right now (small kids eh?).
I have to admit I was a little surprised about who was killed in this book. I'll hide my thoughts behind spoilers.
This series (Drunk Monkeys) is seriously addictive, especially with current affairs popping up Ebola patients in the States. Sometimes fiction and reality become hard to distinguish.
In GREASE MONKEY, as the title implies, the main female character is a mechanic. Dolce Quinn is in Los Angeles where the Kite virus infection is spiraling out of control. The US government is keeping a lid on it. Dolce is going to get out of LA only after she finds her friends. Unfortunately, the latest riot is right where her friends are working.
GREASE MONKEY is a darker story than the previous ones in the series. Dolce experiences more loss in a horrendous manner than the previous females. When she's matched up with Roscoe and Niner, this ménage is wild. Wild because it doesn't seem as if the three will be able to get along, let alone close enough to experience "sexy time". Yet Ms. Dalton does her usual trick and somehow makes the triad perfect for each other.
I still believe this series doesn't need the sex or the ménage. This plot is good enough without the erotica. The erotica just adds a bit of relief from the doom and gloom. Ms. Dalton does a stellar job with the continued world and character building. The evil villain continues to gain forward momentum to destroy the Drunk Monkeys. It does seem the Reverend Silo will be able to push his Machiavellian agenda through. It is clear Ms. Dalton is already several steps ahead in her plots and subplots. With the reveal of Silo's plans and how his abused wife is slowly awakening, it promises to be some interesting times coming up. All men should learn--hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
The theme of this book is launched just at the right time. With today's threat of fatal pandemics, government conspiracies and civil unrest, it makes this story a little bit more realistic. The characters in this story feel real because they come across as designed. The Drunk Monkeys do come across as jarheads. just as Dolce's aptitude with mechanical equipment is believable. Ms. Dalton does a good job of creating characters staying in alignment with their careers through their behaviors and decisions. These people are capable yet not infallible. When problems arise, they don't fall apart; they try to fix it and move forward.
From a plot perspective, the story does drag a little. Since it is clear there will be ten books in total, this is not unexpected. The foundation to this world leading to the major showdown is well laid out. It will be interesting to see if hubris is the cause of Silo's fall or if Silo will fall at all. One thing is for sure, each set of men will find their partner and there will be loud and noisy monkey sex.
This erotic romance is recommended for readers who enjoy speculative fiction and conspiracy theories.
This book picked up right where the last one left off and very quickly civilization is starting to break apart, causing big problems for the Drunk Monkeys. I loved that Roscoe and Niner had to be rescued by a random stranger, Dolce. Of course Roscoe very quickly put his foot in his mouth causing Dolce to give him a verbal smack down, the best thing about it was that it was done in front of everyone. It was because of this that I was a bit surprised that Dolce ended up with Roscoe and Niner.
I was a bit surprised that Dolce and Mark were quickly admitted to the Drunk Monkey's, but each brought things that could help the group out.
I'm glad that the mole was taken care of and Silo has been blocked on that front. I love that Mary is starting to do what she can to get back at Silo, I only hope that she can be successful.
This series just keeps getting better and better. It really gets my heart pumping. Not just the sex (cause that's good, too) its the suspense! The mobs, the earthquakes, the virus and the bad guys. Oh my!
With LA biting the dust, the group is on the run but not without its stops and its let downs. Silo is getting his panties in a bunch and the Drunk Monkey girls are having a hay day with every bit thwarting they can send Silo's way.
