A Map into the Mind of a Serial Killer...
A Survival Manual in case he stalks you or yours...

At the age of 6 serial killer Leslie Allen Williams was asked to fill in the blanks on a psychology test. “Boys grow up to be men. Girls grow up to be _____.” In the blank he wrote: PUNISHED.
From that chilling beginning he spent his formative years as a ward of the state in conditions so Dickensian that authorities had his files incinerated when he was unmasked as a serial killer.
For the next 30 years he perfected his punishment of women. Like a prodigy born with musical talent, he practiced stalking, instilling fear, and conning the legal system after his regular brushes with the law. During the workweek he was a model employee. On Sundays he fought his deliberate war against God. All the while he considered himself “A Knight in Shining Armor” who championed vulnerable women.
“Why?” A murder victim in the Epilogue reportedly asked for all of us.
Using official documents, secret archives, and candid interviews with the killer’s family and former lovers, with investigating officers, criminal profilers, and pioneers in the field of violent psychopathology, the reader will be provided with a map into the mind of a sexual predator.
A survival manual emerges from lessons learned from the victims’ families who won landmark legislation in their quest for common sense justice. Other lessons come from the women who survived the predator’s kidnapping and assaults. Together they present a primer on how to recognize and protect ourselves from the human incarnation of evil.

Anyone know how to reach this author? This has many assumptions, misinformation and downright falsehoods.
I went through this during the 90's, and my best friend is one of the victims in this case.
There is no contact info, and I cannot even find any references online.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Interesting book

The book was interesting to read. Book has grammatical errors and spelling that were a bit annoying. Seemed on the wordy side.

Having been one of the investigators I praise Mick for telling and informing so open and honestly. I would have liked to see better proof reading.

The title says it all. We all need to learn to protect society from monsters, as monsters are real and they live amongst us.

A Journey Best Taken In The Daylight

This insightful objectively written book is a frightful journey into the mind of a serial killer. For all of us who delve into the pursuit of "why" and"how could they", brings us one step closer into figuring out the mind of narcissism at its best. A book written about a pure sociopath brings up the question nature or nurture or both. Be afraid.

Disturbing but enlightening

well written and shows how career criminals are aided in their endeavors by a system that appears to lack focus on the victim while providing protection for the criminal. makes you realize you are never really safe and that the criminals rely on your complacency and reliance on 3rd parties like the parole board to keep you safe.

An intriguing story of the mindset of a twisted youth.

A compelling story that condemns the child protective services and their failings to follow up on the tragedies that befall abused children, and the parole system that fails to realize the damage done to young abused minds. We make serial killers by lack of attention to damage children and habitual criminals.

Insightful

Went along the chronological pattern of his life. Interesting though sad read. Have to disagree with the forms of identification that author wants institute.

The story itself is very interesting. My problem with the book was the author. When he was just telling facts, that was fine. But when he tried to add his own commentary, it was horrible and annoying. Also, the book needed to be at least 100 pages shorter, but the author would go on and on about irrelevant details, very often repeating himself.
