Whisked away to the billionaire groom's private island, Marjorie is awe-struck by the glitz and glamour. But what dazzles her most is notorious playboy and hot-shot TV producer Robert Cannon.

After Marjorie saves Robert from drowning in the island's turquoise lagoon, she can't help but feel drawn to him. But she's not the only woman intrigued, and with his wild and womanising ways, they couldn't be more wrong for each other. With the blistering attraction between them becoming hard to ignore, and the idyllic, irresistibly romantic island as their playground - will opposites attract?

This is a pen name for Jill Myles.

Jill Myles has been an incurable romantic since childhood. She reads all the 'naughty parts' of books first, looks for a dirty joke in just about everything, and thinks to this day that the Little House on the Prairie books should have been steamier.

After devouring hundreds of paperback romances, mythology books, and archaeological tomes, she decided to write a few books of her own - stories with a wild adventure, sharp banter, and lots of super-sexy situations. She prefers her heroes alpha and half-dressed, her heroines witty, and she loves nothing more than watching them overcome adversity to fall into bed together.

I forgot to review this book. I will make it fast only to save some poor person the reading time. This book was in a word BORING! I could read this book on the beach and just forget it there. Nope I don't need to pick it up again cause I don't care how it ends. It's just not good.
I was thinking some hot sex would work it for me but nope it read like a retirement village story. Soooo boring. And did I mention I feel asleep reading it at 1:30 pm while on break! Yeah it's that much of a snore fest!
Read as a cure for insomnia. That's it!
Not my cup and not reading it again not even on a double dog dare! (Help the old person references are catching up with me).
Wow what was the author thinking?
Shuffle board, bingo, 80 year old dates???!
Wow! Just wow!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I am really between 3 stars and 2 stars but settle on 2 stars.

The whole idea of this book is too cheesy. there is no significant development on the characters. The characters are very plain. I read this book because I enjoy some of the Billionaire Boys Club series.

Billionaires and the virgin miss all the right spot. Dry characters, cheesy story and I just can not connect with any of the characters.

5 sexy-ass stars!

I loved this book!

This is the first book I've read by this author, and boy am I glad I did!
I really enjoyed Ms. Clare's writing, and her characters were fun, sexy, sassy, smart, and great to read.

I adored Marjorie! I loved her history, her way of thinking, her honesty, integrity, naivete, and back-bone.

I LOVED Rob! He was sexy, smart, and a character who started out as sleaze-ball, but ended up redeeming himself.

Wonderful story! Great ending!

I will definitely be reading more books by this author!

3 "quick, fun read" stars
Oh goodness! This hero, just kept digging himself into a hole just so he could woo the heroine. His true nature, and business, was crass; add that with the potty mouth that he couldn't keep under wraps, then you have a man way too seedy/jaded for the innocent and down-to-earth heroine.

However, I enjoyed the first impression antics and crazy misunderstandings made by both the hero and heroine(comical), and though this was pure fluff, the romance was there in how they meet, how they continued to get on, and how the hero ends up doing a morality check just because he wanted the heroine to be proud of him.

So humor and "doing the right thing" were two things that made this romance quick, sweet, not too cheesy, and weirdly steamy (the hero's dirty talk, and ultimately, most of the sexy talk, seemed obtuse).

Characterization is passable because of the voice in the PoV created in the hero and the heroine, but expect "cute," not deep.

Happy reading.

Now this is a besotted hero!

Unfortunately, the head over heels H in this one is based on Joe Francis, the real life oinker exploiter who created “Girls Gone Wild”, and has his own girlie channel. He’s one hero that I should have hated, but this guy, unlike the one in Romancing the Billionaire, is truly besotted, gobsmacked and under the spell of the 6’ 1” virginal heroine. He’s a total pig, but he’s still really likable. He’s on hand to force one of the other billionaires (too many billionaires) to make a deal. Things go south when the heroine feels she’s been used plus finding out that the one you love is a few triple X’s away from being a soul-sucking porn maker puts a big damper on their fledgeling love affair.

I bought the oinker routine because the hero changes for the heroine in a big way. No spoilers here except to write that at the end of the book he’s thinking of starting a bingo network. Not just a channel, but a whole network devoted to bingo. Someone’s not going to be a billionaire for long.

The book was okay! There were a few things that irritated me about the story and the characters. The main story was a good draft, but i was slightly annoyed by the fact that Marjorie seemed so naive and somehow kind of childish. Also Rob was a crass persona that i had to get used to at the beginning, and the conflict that arose in this story was really not that big of a deal in my opinion. Maybe i am one of the few that think so. The fact that there were a few things that irritated me about this book, contributed to the fact that i only gave it three stars. I hope that i maybe like other books by this author more!

Oh Jessica Clare, how do I love thee and thy dirrrty-talking billionaires?? The answer is: So soooo much!

Call it a guilty pleasure, but I do so enjoy these hot modern-day fairy-tales that Clare cooks up. Sure, they are pure fluffy fun but there's nothing wrong with a little fun now and then right?

In this delightful little story we get an ugly-duckling type romance where the heroine is an sweet, inexperienced amazonian with a love for high heels and the hero is a crude, too-handsome billionaire who objectifies woman for a living and is generally just an all round JERK - to everyone BUT the heroine!

It's an insta-love kinda story on his part, but, for me, it worked and I thoroughly enjoyed the hero's patient endeavor to win the affections of his too-tall lady love.

All I can say now is: keep'em coming JC! I can't wait to read your next fairy-tale....

Marjorie and Rob

Rob is a foul-mouth arsehole but I like him. He totally redeemed himself. Full review to come on Fiction Vixen Book Reviews

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Billionaire Boys Club novels comes a sizzling series that pairs rich men looking for romances with some very lucky ladies in waiting…

The Billionaire and the Virgin by Jessica Clare Billionaires and Bridesmaids series #1The Billionaire and the Virgin….a title that I can’t possibly resist (just look at the cover! It says it right there!!). Throw billionaire anywhere in a title and I am bound to read it. I don’t know what it is about those rich dudes, but they do it for me.

The Billionaire and the Virgin is a spinoff of Jessica Clare’s Billionaire Boys Club series and takes place around book 5 of that series. Marjorie Ivarsson is a waitress who worked with Bronte, heroine from Stranded with a Billionaire, and is at an island owned by Logan Hawkings, the hero from that same book. Bronte and Logan are getting married and they are doing it in style at the resort they met at, Logan now owns and that has been redone for the wedding.

Marjorie is one of Bronte’s closest friends and though she hates the spotlight she will do her best to make this wedding awesome for Bronte. Marjorie is 6’1″, awkward socially and physically, doesn’t drink or flirt, hangs out with people over the age of 70 and has only made it to “second base” one time in her life. That experience was a disaster so she has gone out of her way to not repeat it.

Robert Cannon is also on the island but for very different reasons. He is there to convince Logan to take a chance on a new venture with him. Rob is not a nice person. He is the owner of a cable channel that specializes in naked women and has a famous show called “Tits or GTFO”. His whole life has been about peddling flesh and making tons of money off of it. Now he wants respectability and Logan is the man who can give it to him. He just has to convince the reluctant man to meet with him.

Before he can convince anyone of anything he pisses off one of the women trying to get on his show and she flips over his raft. He happens to be in the ocean and less than sober. When he comes to, he sees he has been rescued by an angel. A very blonde and tall angel. Before he can get her name, she disappears. Later on after a confrontation with Logan he is the process of leaving the hotel when he sees Marjorie coming back from a bachelorette party. He is finally able to get her name and ask her on a date.

After a quick background check he realizes Marjorie is nothing like his normal women so he can be nothing like his normal self. He has to curb the cursing, the booze, and all things connected to his personality.

“So do you date a lot, Rob?”

It should have been a coy question, but Marjorie’s wide-open gaze told him that she was serious….and she probably wouldn’t like the answer. It was on the tip of his tongue to tell her that he could snap his fingers and get more pussy than a regular man could ever dream of. But she was watching him with that earnest expression and Rob realized that he was probably just as rusty at dating as she was. The girls he normally “dated”? They approached and propositioned, and he let some of them fuck him in exchange for getting on TV or getting into an exclusive party. That wasn’t really dating.

Funny thing is, Marjorie seems to be doing the same thing. After two very disastrous dates they both confess they have been playing a part in order to impress the other person. Rob tells her how he really is, but not who he really is, and Marjorie opens up to him. As the days go by with only kissing Rob falls a little more for innocent Marjorie with each minute they spend together.

Marjorie has never met anyone so patient and kind as Rob. He treats her like a queen and he is the one she decides to give her virginity too. But now Rob is in an awful situation. Logan has figured out he stayed around and has been wooing Marjorie. He makes the wrong assumption and tells Rob to leave Marjorie alone. When Marjorie offers herself to Rob he can’t say no because to say no would wreck the small bit of self confidence she has gained around him. But if he says yes and she finds out how he really is, will she feel betrayed?

Robert Cannon is the driving force of this book. There is something about him that makes you like him even though he a true asshole. You know at some point he is going to get his comeuppance and it is going to be good. He is going to need a serious turn around in order to make you like him and I am happy to say, the reader will not be disappointed. Rob makes amazing strides as a person and makes himself into a person Marjorie would be proud to be with.

Marjorie is a good character too but she doesn’t have the impact that Rob does. She is perfect for Rob and manages to corral the ultimate bad boy but I think she is a sweet heroine without much angst or strife.

Overall, this was a really enjoyable book. It has several great characters, sigh worthy moments, and blistering hot love scenes. The buildup to their sex scene is long and drawn out, so much so that by the time it happens the reader will be cheering. Rob does a good thing by easing Marjorie into a sexual relationship. He makes it very clear it is all her decision. I’m not sure who the next in this series will be as the supporting characters are all from Ms. Clare’s other series. I do know I will be the first in line when it comes out. Final grade- B

Favorite Quote:

“I want to touch you,” she murmured against his mouth. “And I want you to touch me. Can we try second base?”

“Sweetheart, we can do anything you want. But you gotta remind me what second base is.” It’d been far too long since he’d dated someone that referred to bases. “And if second base is anal, the answer is unequivocally ‘yes'”

She gasped. “No, not anal!”

“Darn. What is it then?”

'The Billionaire and the Virgin' was my first Jessica Clare book and I can say it won't be my last.
I had a blast reading this and frankly I laughed my ass off at some parts. The romance between Rob, the billionaire and Marjorie, the virginal amazonian(her height, you guys)is to die for. It was so sweet and as a fellow tall girl-by no means as tall as Marj-I really enjoyed reading a comtempary romance that featured a tall women.
I loved the scenes when Rob and Marj discuss Marj's vulnerabilities about her height (I experience those too) and that Rob didn't care about her height and he saw her as his Amazonian goddess. He loves her just the way she is-awkwardness, height, shoe and bingo obsession.
HE BUYS HER six inch jimmy choos! I died. I want that. I want a hot green eyed billionaire to buy me Jimmy Choos-IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?!
I want to squeal and tell you all that happens in this book, but I don't want to spoil you so what I will say is there wasn't a bad moment in this book for me. It was all awesome-It's sweet, cute and *love lorn sigh* it makes you want your very own Billionaire, preferably Rob.

Marjorie is super tall. 6'1" and she wears heals and I loved that she's much taller than Rob, her love interest. The first half of this book was a little cheesy. But the second half was super cute. He goes above and beyond to win her back. All in all I enjoyed it.

2.5 So So Stars!!

Source: eARC for Honest Review Courtesy of Intermix/Penguin Group

I loved the Billionaire Boys Club series by Jessica Clare so, I was super excited to read this spin off series. There were parts that I liked about this book and the series has potential but I will admit this book is not my fave. Here we have Rob Cannon, who comes across a bit smarmy billionaire and Marjorie the amazon like virgin who feels more at home with senior citizens then people her own age.

After rescusing Rob from a near drowning he is immeditatly taken with this tall woman but is fearful that she will not like him when she finds out the truth about him. Marjorie is a virgin and quite socially awkward so she's like a fish out of water when it comes to dating.

For the first part of the book they both portray themselves as people they think the other wants instead of being themselves. With this part it was hard to get into and it barely caught my attention that I almost did a DNF but, I love Jessica Clare and her other books so I was determined to finish it. As the book goes on it gets momentum and the hero and heroine start to be themselves which makes you get into the story a bit more. But for me it was something to do with both characters that just didn't grab me. I couldn't relate to either of them. The idea of the story was good and it kept me reading but Marj and Rob really didn't do it for me this time around.

It was a cute romance story about an unlikely duo and it included great shoes, bingo, shenanigans, feisty seniors, and too much giggling to help complete the story. I have to admit there is just something about heroines giggling throughout books that makes me want to throwout my kindle at times. I liked the idea of the story and even though this wasn't my favorite of Jessica Clare's it doesn't mean that I will quit reading her works. I can't wait for Cade's story in the Billionaire Boys Club as well as I'm curious where this series is going to go from here.

The romance seemed awfully rushed and the whole 'guy turning over a new leaf because he is in love' theme has become a tad bit repetitive in these books!

I love the idea of this heroine. A heroine who loves things not of her generation. I also liked that the hero didn't care about her height in fact loved it.

I don't mind the hero's self absorbness at first and like the scene where they both quit pretending to be what they are not.

However, the heroine's lack on confidence begins to grate and the hero is too much of a jerk and the mess goes on too long to be fun and it is just doesn't work for me.

I like this author and will try more of her books but this one was a no go.

This was the first book by Ms. Clare that I've read and I know it won't be the last.

Rob and Marjorie could not be more different.  Rob is president of a network that is basically Girls Gone Wild around the clock.  Marjorie likes playing BINGO, shuffleboard and hangs out with older people.  She believes in the goodness of people and could not be more different from Rob.

Opposites attract and all that?  Correct?  Sort of.  After saving Rob from drowning, he becomes completely enamored with her and becomes hell-bent on getting to know her in every way he possibly can.  Which, of course, means getting her naked ASAP.

Marjorie decides that she needs to step out of her normal persona and sex it up.  What ensues is one of the most effed up first dates EVER.  Marjorie has some serious wardrobe issues and Rob is totally acting like some kind of robot.

Honestly, I began to question whether or not I'd be able to enjoy this book.

My fears were allayed.  Rob and Marjorie finally decide to be exactly who they are and at that point, I really started to enjoy seeing how these two very different people complemented each other and how they pushed each other to be comfortable in their own skin.  Rob has a less than stellar reputation (completely of his own making) but through Marjorie, he begins to see how hurtful what he does can be.

This must be stated.  The V card taking scene in this book was one of the most detailed and best I've ever read.  The care that Rob takes with Marjorie is staggering.  You don't always get that kind of feeling in a scene where one of the characters is a virgin.

As I said before, this was my first book by Ms. Clare but I ran over to Goodreads and added her Billionaire Boys Club series (loosely connected to this series) to my TBR pile.  I'm looking forward to reading those and I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the Billionaires and Bridesmaids series.

Marjorie is standing up in her friend’s destination wedding when she meets Rob Cannon, billionaire TV mogul. She saves his life, and he changes her. But when she finds out that runs a “Girls Gone Wild” type of man channel, can love conquer that?

The Good, The Bad and Everything In Between

-Who doesn’t want a billionaire to fall in love with them?: The premise is one I can get behind - billionaire who is madly attracted to you on sight and will do anything for you. You know. As they do.

-Marjorie’s a tall gal: I loved that Marjorie is, physically at least, a departure from most heroines. She’s 6’1” and she’s willowy, not all curves. She’s always been made to feel less than because she doesn’t fit into your standard definition of beauty. When you address this type of insecurity, more often than not it’s because a heroine is overweight, or curvy. You don’t see height as a factor very often and it made this stand out for me. When you add in the fact that she was raised by her grandparents and is more at home at a bingo hall than a nightclub, and you’ve got the makings of a very individual kind of gal. She’s a very likeable heroine and I just loved that she didn’t just cave at the first sign of difficulty, but she stuck to her ideals and she didn’t excuse anything just because she “loved” Rob.

-Rob’s boorish and crass, and absolutely likeable: Rob’s got a real big attitude, larger than life and frankly, a bit of a dick. He’s never cared what anyone thought of him and he’s made a living being a misogynist. He’s not perfect, but his transformation for Marjorie and his love for her height (he's six foot, so he's a little shorter than Marj) won me over completely:

“Any man who’s not secure enough to be seen with a gorgeous woman who just happens to be taller than him doesn’t deserve the aforementioned gorgeous woman. He can go fuck himself.”

He treated her with care every step of the way, and when he screwed up, I just wanted him to fix it and get her back.

-Sexy times, and plenty of them: The sex, lordy the sex was copious and well done. Perhaps a bit much, but I'm not complaining.

-It’s a fantasy, so it definitely goes there: It’s fantastical, not a bit believable and a bit predictable, but that didn’t diminish my enjoyment. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but there’s no need to. It’s a fantasy erotic romance and works well as such.

The Bottom Line
I really enjoyed this romance and I definitely recommend it to those who like easy reads with a not your everyday kind of heroine and a hero who starts as a dick (but not to the heroine which is all I care about, really).

Quattro stelle e mezzo.
Aspettavo solo te (Billionaires and Bridesmaids, #1) <br />by Jessica Clare

Audiobook Listen: The Billionaire and the Virgin was a first listen by this new author to this reader. Did I like this book...it was just okay and I didn't like the arrogant and snobbish attitude of the hero. I was not impressed and became bored early on although I did finish the book. Fortunately, it did have a nice romance part of the story but in the end it was not what I expected. In addition, Jillian Macie is a new narrator to this reader and it was not that good for both hero and heroine.

“Sweetie, I don’t have many friends.”
“I’m not your sweetie.”
Ah, a spine. So there was one under there after all. He liked a bit of sass in the right girl. “Fair enough. I apologize.”
She nodded. “Don’t apologize . . . cupcake. Just don’t do it again.”

“Rob rubbed the back of his neck and looked embarrassed. “You weren’t supposed to see me.”
“Yeah, well, you forget how tall I am in heels,” she reminded him. He laughed, and looked down at her bare feet, and she wiggled her toes. “I, um, took them off to run. I wanted to see if it was you.”
“Well, this is fucking embarrassing,” he said.
It was? Her heart broke a little at that statement. “What are you doing here in New York City?”
He stared at her for a long moment before answering. “Stalking you.”
“W-what?” She could hardly believe her ears. “Stalking me?” So that was him all those times she’d thought she’d spotted him? “Why are you stalking me?”
“I’m not really stalking,” he said, glancing around and lowering his voice. “Not in a creepy, illegal way. I just miss the goddamn hell out of you and thought maybe if I got to see you from afar, now and then, it’d hurt less. Still fucking hurts quite a bit, though.”

“I love my tall, gorgeous amazon.”

It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be to finish the book. I didn't like Rob at certain times and this time I wasn't happy with someone lying about who he truly was. I liked the end though and that made me give the book a 4 star rating. It was never a question if I was going to read the next books in the series. I am a fan of Jessica Claire's books and this series seems to be a spin-off of the Billionaire Boys Club series or something similar so I will be stalking this series. I liked how we revisited some of the old characters. I wonder whose book is going to be next.

4 - 4.5 DAZZLING STARS

This was a great book, especially if you like the opposites attract genre, loud and foul mouthed playboy Rob can't seem to get Marjorie (Marj, I instantly think blue hair and homer) the sweet, innocent Virgin out of his head since she saved his life, so he embarks on a mission to woo her in a week.

All in all a cracking feel good funny story with a bit if cheesiness thrown in for good measure!
Oh, and some very hot sex scenes too!

Quick Summary: A tangy romance where a hot & spicy MMC meets a shy & frumpy MFC

My Review: The Billionaire and the Virgin by Jessica Clare is associated with the Billionaires and Bridesmaids series. It is book 1, and it is totally a what you see is what you get read.

About the Book: Marjorie and Rob meet in a very unusual way - she saves his life. Before he can learn who she is or even thank her, she's off and running. He is determined to get to know her. As he prepares to leave his resort, she comes into his line of vision. He does everything he can to get to know her. He knows he doesn't deserve to put himself in her path, but there's something about her...and it's not that she is a virgin.

The Big Question: Are Rob's motives in getting to know Marjorie entirely honorable? (What does he really want with her?)

My Final Say: This was quirky and cute. There were some cringy parts, but it went along with the character traits of both leads.

Rating: 3.5/5
Recommend: Yes
Audience: A
Series: Yes
Status/Level: 🌶🌶🌶

We stan a man who loves to climb mountains.🫡

This was the funnest, most sexiest most romantic, and cute story i've ever read. I was literally laughing the entire time while rooting for Rob and his Amazon goddess, Marjorie.

A very easy, engaging hilarious (and Hella smutty👀👀👀💃🏿) read for the average romcom reader. I honestly was on the fence about reading this book because it seemed so stupid(the title gave me the ick, and the description was even worse 😭), but OMG. I didn't sleep all night. I was busy getting lost in their banter and world. I was kicking my feet, screaming into my pillow, and just couldn't put it down.

So, reading the continuation of the books.

Edit: (Just found out that the bride and groom of this book HAVE THEIR OWN STORY. BRB guys !!)

Cute story. Narrator's voice was a bit too girly for the hero's part.
Loved that she was 6'1" and he was 6' AND she loved her stiletto heels. In one scenes she tops him by six inches LOL!

I've been reading Clare's books for a while just, erm, out of order? lol So I'm just making it back to book one of the series and I had a pretty good time with it. The characters were definitely memorable!

The quick of it is that Marjorie has gone to the islands for a friend's wedding and manages to fish a drowning--yet hunky--man out of the ocean. There's some mutual smitten-ness happening and some naughty shenanigans and maybe a couple secrets being kept, too.

Marjorie and Robert were pretty entertaining. There's an instant sizzle between them and some really hilarious and cringe-worthy dating blunders as they try to impress each other. They're as opposite as opposite can get-- he's a man whore who runs a girls gone wild type tv station and she's totally old-fashioned, a virgin and loves shuffleboard and bingo. But man they were fun together and goodness they steamed things up real nice.

So one neat thing. Chickie is hella tall. Even taller than the hero! I loved that. It was such a different thing to see with a couple in romance. And I flipping LOVED his reaction to her long sexy legs.

I was good with them for the most part but they did both have some issues. His work life left a lot to be desired. And she overreacted a good bit when she found out what he did. Plus a bit to hung up on her height especially seeing as how he loved it.

While The Billionaire and the Virgin wasn't my favorite of Clare's couples it was still a somewhat silly and steamy read and a fun way to spend a couple hours.

Marjorie Ivarsson is a quirky woman, she finds more comfort with hanging out with senior citizens than she does people her own age. Marjorie is enjoying her two week all paid vacation thanks to her closest friends fiancee. On his resort for the wedding, she takes her job as bridesmaid seriously and when she is not needed she hangs at the beach, plays shuffleboard, and visits with her new elderly friends. Rescuing the most stunning man in the water was not expected but she is glad she did when he asks her out on a date.

Robert Cannon is a TV producer for the man channel. He specializes in women showing their goods unfortunately it has spilled over to his private life. Robert would be the first to admit he is a jerk, he is crass and looks out only for himself. Marjorie though is making him rethink his ways, he wants to be a gentleman with her. However how does he divulge who he is and the fact that he is on the island for reasons that maybe misinterpreted.

This was a fun read. Robert initially is not overly likeable but he grows on you. Loved Majorie she was different and after getting dating advice makes a complete muck of things but you laugh a lot while she does. Always enjoy a Jessica Clare book.

Rob he'll cut a b**** for his woman, "the woman laughed, and Rob immediately got offended. Was she laughing at his Marjorie? That effing b****." I would totally sneak a peak of Rob too I don't blame Marjorie at all, "Rob was totally naked. Oh...gosh. Just wow. So that was the first p**** she'd ever seen outside of what was on television or the Internet. And it was kind of impressive." Rob he amused me in his texts, "I thought about you last night," he sent to her. "Jerked off three times." He sometimes has to assure his girl of things in the ocean, "if you feel something jab you in the stomach, that's not the Loch Ness Monster. Just my d***." Marjorie is really innocent so the answers Rob had to her questions were often times funny, "probably bigger than average, but I don't go around slinging my junk onto the nearest table and whipping out a ruler." I loved this book once again Jessica did a grand job.
