Good light read

This was a good read. I have only a small problem with this book and that was some misspelled words and bad grammar. The overall reading was interesting. I remember the Disney movie about this rescue of the Lippaziner horses during World War 'll. To read about something like this is enjoyment. Not often do you find a story of men putting aside their differences to do something good. So overlook the spelling errors and the lapse in good grammar and read about the rescue of the horses, who fly.

This covers Operation Cowboy (also a subject of an Amazon Kindle Single). While not at the journalistic level of the Kindle Single, it was much better than I thought it would be. It is at a more general reading level, so more suitable for younger audiences. I’m not quite convinced it is worth the 2.99 price tag (I picked it up when offered free), but it would be worth some money.

(The cover also confuses me cause I'm pretty sure that's the wrong breed of horse)

An interesting history that isnt told anywhere else. This book is really a poorly organized college paper with great facts that are not cited. Worth a look if you have some connection to the event (I do have one) but not for the general reader.

More little-known equine history

A very brief but engaging chapter of WWII. Animals, notably horses, played important roles in many wars. Happily, horses got the help they deserved at war's end.

Choppy

A great story, but didn't flow. Parts were extremely repetitive which made reading difficult. With editing could be much better.

Quite an interesting addition to my accumulated knowledge of WWII. The combined effort of the Americans and the Germans during a world war seems almost impossible.....but, for the love of horses.
A good read..

Good short and sweet synopsis of the op.

This book provides a quick, short easy-to-read summary of one of the last operation of American forces in WWII. If you want a detailed account of the mission, read "Operation Cowboy'" which is an excellent read.

A short book that brings to light a very interesting part of WWII that I knew nothing about until now. Unfortunately this book is very poorly organized and written. If you are truly interested in learning more about Operation Cowboy I suggest finding another source.

Great short story

A wonderful story about the horses that dance on air. I was familiar with the Lipizzaner horse but I did not know the rest of the story.

This is a very short (30 pages) book about saving horses, mainly Lipizzaners, during WWII in Operation Cowboy. It was having the right officials at the right place and right time.
