Okay someone explain to me why not more people are reading this series. I just binge-read all six books in about 4 days and absolutely love them. They are funny, witty, romantic, full of suspense... the perfect cozy mysteries. Also there is a lot of character growth and relationship developments, unlike in most of the series I've read in this genre. The characters are lovable and the cases interesting.

Really, everyone who remotely likes this genre should pick this series up. It's great and I can't wait for the next one.

Awesome book!!!

Loved this story, my favorite by far. Lexi has grown up, she loves what she is doing and she has Solomon. I loved the plot and it was so well written I felt like I was there. This story warmed my heart and want more, lots more. I just love how Solomon loves her, believes in her, supports her and lifts her up. She in turn adores him, sigh. LOVED this book.

This is a must read, especially for those of us who love Lexi.

I adore this series. Lexi cracks me up. Her humor and modesty makes me smile. The one thing I noticed in this novel is that Solomon actually has a personality in it! He's always be a grunter or more of a one-word answer-kinda man. But in Laugh or Death, he smiles more and is much more open.

Lexi finds herself in the middle of another case that has plenty twists. She's hunting for a possible amnesia woman who's boyfriend is desperate to find her. But is the boyfriend who he says he is? Solomon doesn't believe so, so he joins her on the case to prove that the boyfriend is hiding something while Lexi plans to reunite lost love. Whoever solves their part of the cast first, gets a vacation planned and paid for by the loser. But, honestly, win or lose, you can't go wrong with a beach vacation with John Solomon.

Of course, this one has plenty of the Graves family and her BFF, Lily, who is out to solve her own robbery case. Plus, Maddox returns. I still had my heart set on them working out their differences, but it looks like they are better friends. I laughed throughout the entire book. I smiled at the end but was sad that it ended there. I hope the next book starts with their vacation. I can only imagine the trouble Lexi and Solomon can find on a tropical island!

Another 5-star Camilla Chafer book!

The best part about this series is that the women have a healthy sense of self esteem. There's no prevaricating or negative thinking. They lift each other up with compliments. And I just love it.

Although Lexie's self love in the beginning was really annoying and she shows a great deal of stupidity in this book, story wise it was really good. Lexie and co are on the hunt for a missing woman and although it's obvious from the start that she isn't missing in the sense Lexie has been led to believe the story was still done well. Lily puts herself in the middle of another case and sorts this out even though Lexie fails to be much help as promised. A good outing for Lexie and co and good enough that I will read another. If this had been awful I would have abandoned at this stage.

Another fun read in this cute series...I did know who the bad guy was from the beginning in this one. Both Solomon and and I were like "Really Lexi?!?!;) Love Solomon and Lexi...great banter and interplay. Love how Lexi tries to make Lily more cautious, but it never works!

Loved this one title fits series

Oh I love that Lily did most of her own investigation. I felt bad for Lexi having her now happy love life influence her investigation in a bad way to not let her gut catch on that the client was the bad guy. So happy she didn’t die. I really want her and Solomon to end up walking down the aisle.

Ready for next in series thanks Camilla Chafer

As usual, a fun, light read. That said, the villain is too easily figured out in both the cases, with one being pretty much expected. It would have been nice if expectations had been turned on their head somehow.

Lexi gets a missing person case where the target turns out to be more than she initially bargained for. Lilly’s bar becomes a target for thieves. The dynamic duo find more trouble than they could have ever imagined.

Serially Perfect

For the past few days I've been on a wonderful adventure reading the Lexi Graves series starting at book one. "Laugh or Death" is another great installment in the series.

This time the Solomon Agency is approached by a broken hearted man named Leo who has lost his fiancée, Nancy, after she fell and hit her head. He believes she is suffering from amnesia and has some how landed in Montgomery. He wants the agency to help find her. Lexi is gun ho to reunite the lovers but Solomon is convince Leo is not all he says he is; so, what do they do? They make a contest out of the case. The loser has to take the other on vacation.

Meanwhile, a series of restaurant/bar robberies find Lily as a victim and ruins Lexi and Solomon's date night. Additionally , Adam Maddox is back in town as FBI Special Investigator. He is working a string of missing women cases and murder all expected to be the work of a serial killer. Soon, Lexi, Adam and Solomon see a common link and it is quite disturbing!

There are plenty of laughs and comical moments all intermixed with the mystery intrigue of the plot. As always, the myriad of quirky characters and family members is what makes this series so special. I just love and cannot wait for the next book. Whatever will I do when I run out of books in the series in a few days?

*MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS*

3.75 stars. That's what I'm awarding this book. Which saddens me because I loved all of the other ones so much. I feel as if this one was just kind of haphazardly thrown together.

I thought that Leo was creepy and a bad guy right from the beginning, which was a let down because in the other ones she had me stumped as too who was the actual bad guy all the way through to the last 10%. I wanted more interaction with her neighbor and his dog other then when Leo creeped by and the dog was all like.....uhhh....no! I don't like you! (I know I know, not a trivial part of the books at all. But can you blame me?! It's an amazing dog)

I felt like the case of Lily's bar getting robbed was excruciatingly easy to solve and was essentially a waste of time. That's not however me saying I wish there was less Lily. I absolutely love her!

Solomon...just as sexy as ever. I liked also that they brought Maddox in for the last half of the book, I enjoy the interaction between the three of them. (Solomon, Lexi, and Maddox)

First I want to say that I do love this author and I love her books. This is my first book review, so please bear with me. As you can see, I only gave this book 2 stars. I didn't really care too much for this book. The main character has always been what you would call conceited, and this has not changed through all of the books. That's not one of the problems I had with this book. I feel that this book was missing everything that the other books had, humor and mystery. It didn't have any of that and I was disappointed when I read it. It was a lot of nothing going on until towards the end of the book. I know that there is one more in this series and I will continue to read from this author, I just hope that the last one is better.

Lexi Graves PI & her boss (and boyfriend) Solomon have nominated for a missing persons case. The graves family are all active as background characters especially Lily (Lexi's BFF & Sis-in-law) who is open to assist hunting any target (after all it's not really stalking if they don't know about it). Back in the story steps FBI Detective Maddox (Lexi's ex) and the story then takes an interesting spin. Maddox is also looking through a list of missing we on with the view that some are dead & a mass murderer is on the loose. Fantastic easy read & fun chic lit. Would well recommend it.

Great mystery with a bit of humor.

Fast paced and keeps you guessing to the end. Lexi seems to get herself into trouble even when she isn't trying. She is a PI with a knack for solving crimes/ mysteries. Her boss just happens to be her boyfriend which has both perks & drawbacks. If you enjoy a good mystery with humor & a bit of romance then get the Lexi Graves mysteries. I can definitely recommend this book and any of the series.

Read them all

Sometimes you should just read for the fun of it. I buy books for under two dollars or books that are free. I have tried several different authors this way. This series started as o e of those.
Yes, there are times when you wonder why she did not see that coming. How stupid can she be? But the characters are funny, the mysteries are interwoven and the books are just fun.

Another winner. I am so glad that although both Lexi and Lily come across as ditzy, that we get to see that they really are intelligent as well as beautiful. Adore Soloman and Maddox but I was pleased when she ended up with Soloman, he believes in her. It is great that the relationship between Lexi and Maddox continues. Glad he is back in town!

This book was just what I needed after some of the heaver hitters I have been reading. Lite, funny with characters I have grown to love. Yes, I figured out the mystery before the characters did but it was still fun to "watch" them work through it. It has also been fun to watch Lexie grow through this series.

Another great read

Lexie has to find a lost love for a heartbroken fiancee. Solomon smells something fishy, and makes a wager. Whoever is right and solves the case takes the other on vacation. Of course this case goes so much deeper than anyone could suspect. Clever plot and an intriguing villain put this at the top of my keeper list.

Another good Lexie Graves story, though this time I felt I knew what the ending would be in regards to the 'who dunit' mystery. So a little predictable, but still a good read. Again, wishing the author would give us a little more steam regarding Lexi & Solomon's romance, but I enjoyed the story. Lily is hilarious, if not quite in her own little bubble.

Very entertaining

This book in the series continues with the lovable, fun characters and some great mystery. It did bother me when Leo kept popping up and Lexi didn't become suspicious. I felt that wasn't true to how smart and intuitive she is. Still, it is a very entertaining book.
