Crashing Hearts was similar to the first book in this series in terms of over the top sweetness but the plot itself felt way more pulled together. Lawyer in training, Bones, has locked his heart away and our racer, Skylar, is determined to break down his walls and win him.
First I HATE the whole first love left me trope and this was here and it took me by surprise. Honestly I hated it and it didn’t work for me at all. I think it could have been removed from the story completely without changing Bones because his dad was a terrible human being. His father was enough to make Bones closed off. Second, the back and forth on Bones side just got tiresome. Get it together yo. Spoiler…he eventually did. So I forgive him.
Skylar was a fantastic character. Although I could have done without all the “my boy.” However, his possessiveness and unwavering devotion and determination was so sweet to read. So swoony.
Bones (Silas) surprised me. I did not think this man was going to be as submissive as he was and I don’t know…I’m not sure it worked for me. I wanted both Skylar and Bones to be forces to be reckoned with…in and out of the bedroom. But hey this is personal preference. I love bulldozing alpha males. What can I say🤷🏻♀️.
All that being said, I did really enjoy their relationship and their story. It had plenty of smut, a suspenseful plot and characters that really stood out and made you love them.

Everyone is always obsessed with happy endings, but me? I’m more interested in the story. I don’t want to rush to my happily ever after. I want to live it.

I don’t like to repeat myself but it needs to be said again: K.A Knight is always able to give life to such adorable characters you can't help but fall in love with them 😍😍
I thought Alek and Evan were the best, but OMFG Bones and Skylar are freaking fantastic!!!
Reading about Bones in the previous book, i thought he was so strong and i don’t know... so put together.
Instead my baby boy is hurting so much; he lives in a surviving mode, keeping everyone at arm lenght. However truly he is a softie who feels deeply and achingly, who thinks he is unworthy of love but he craves it the most and that broke my heart.
And Skylar?! He is crazy in the best way 😂 he is a survivor; he knows hunger but he didn't let that turns him in a bitter man.
The way he cherish Bones, even with the mundane things like worrying if he ate or not, made me swoon.
I mean who wouldn't want that kind of devotion?!
Together they are f*cking adorable, and so damn HOTTT 🥵🥵🥵🥵 and i had a stupid smile on my face for most of the reading.
There were few emotional moments too, that almost made me cry like a baby. And damn if i don’t love the "found family" vibes; it always got me.
I also got murderous from time to time because of Bones' dad 🤬🤬 that man is evil!
Another thing i appreciate about the author style is that she can always built up expectations for other couples, and it's like... you are not finished the book yet but you want the next one already 😂
And this time there are two of them i wanna know about...
It's gonna be a long wait 🙈
But it's worth it because these series keeps getting better 😍😍😍

I knew that this book was going to be good, but I had no idea that I would be so hooked into it from the first chapter! Thanks to K.A. Knight, I am no longer in a reading slump and ready to devour anything that she is publishing!
K.A. Knight has written Crashing Hearts so well that you are able to understand the characters and their back stories so well, without having read the first book in the interconnected series.
Crashing Hearts follows our 2 MMCs, Skylar and Bones and how they navigate their worlds together (star crossed lovers from opposite sides of the tracts).
Sky has absolutely no shame in his feelings for Bones, and shows his devotion with a little light stalking.
Bones from the start knows he has feelings for Sky, but tries to fight it off. When he finally gives in to Skylar, the chemistry between these 2 lifts off the pages! It's not very often that you can feel like you are right next to 2 characters and feel the sexual tension and chemistry.
The plot of the story was enjoyable, easy to read and all loose ends were tidied up appropriately and weren't rushed at all.
This book has overtaken my number 1 MM romance and I absolutely can't wait to read more of these by K.A. Knight!

Obsessed is too little of a term for how I feel about this series.

I was 3%, I repeat THREE PERCENT in, and already giggling. Sky and Bones banter gave me life. This couple had all the potential of Black Cat x Golden Retriever on acid and it lived up to it. I've been anticipating their dynamic since that first scene where Sky saw Bones and fell head over heels. The cak and forth, the will they kiss already, the i-miss-him-but... had me so hooked. I truly don't understand how this series is not all over the book world, because its a masterpiece.
The racing aspect was flawless, the found family, the 'coming out' family dynamics. I was so here for everything. I suffered with these characters and felt for them and I need more people to read them too.
Skylar was the perfect obsessed man I knew he would be. He knew from the moment he got his act together that being a pain I Bones' ass (literally lol) was his mission on this earth. They were meant to be together and he was not letting anyone, not even Bones himself, get in the way of that. He was relentless, possessive, caring, so mature, flawed, open, and vulnerable... The perfect MMC!!
And my sweet Bones, you didn't stand a chance, I too, would have folded like a piece of wet f paper in the presence of an in-love Sky. He was such a good character, trying and fighting to figure out his life with the worst family and past, but with his friends and Sky by his side he finally got it right.
Also, this plot was also crazy. Like I knew there was something coming in the last 100 pages because everyone was too happy, but never saw that coming. Katie, you write incredible stuff and I can't wait to see what's next in this series.
On that note, the whole Noah and Mackie better be a hint for the next couple in the series because YES GAAAAWWWD!!

The audiobook for this came out so I of course had to give it a listen! I love Skylar and Bones so much. Evan and Aleck are cute but the push pull be between Bones and Skylar was great! I loved how much time and effort Skylar put in to getting to know Bones from how he liked his steak without ever being on a date with him before to knowing when Bones was pushing back and putting up walls solely because he was scared. I liked seeing Bones relax over time and learn how to be okay with himself as well as let himself be loved by Skylar and learn learning to love Skylar.
I had a good time with the audiobook and having Skylar and Bones brought to life. I have read this book 3 times since it released including the audio listen so now that I can tandem read I will definitely continue to keep it in rotation. 🖤💛🖤

Bones and Skylar are brilliant together. It took them a little while to get to each other, not for the lack of trying in Skylar's part, but when they came together, it was explosive!
Bones hadn't had the best childhood, and his defence mechanism is to ensure people don't get too close. Enter Skylar. This man did EVERYTHING to show Bones he was it for him, and I swooned hard.
If you like MM, action, racing, some light stalking, mystery with a dash of spice, then I recommend this read.

6000 stars, lol. I freaking loved Skylar's and Bones, story. Racing Hearts was one of my favorite books of last year, and this one will definitely go on that list for this year. I love their book so much . I laughed and cried and got pissed off because of some of the side characters. Bones is just my type of book boyfriend. My heart just broke so much for him. Skylar, I just loved how much he loved his boy. And I freaking love Alek and Evan so much. And I can't wait for Noah and a certain drivers book.

I was lucky enough to be one of the lucky souls who got an ARC for her new book Crashing Hearts and and my gods when I tell you I swooned for Sky in racing hearts I fell for that man in Crashing hearts 🥹
His unwavering and undeniable love for Bones is something that everyone wants in life. They are end game and I couldn’t be happier for their amazing fictional lives 🥰
As someone who has been around the car scene for many years, has dealt with many racers!
I felt a personal connection to Bones being scared for Skylar but also a contention to Skylar with the love of cars and racing! It is so freeing if you haven’t experienced that thrill, 10/10 recommend!

Oh I love this series so much 🥹
I loved book 1 but I think this one tops that one for me 😍 I adored Bones and Skylar, I loved them in book 1 and I was so looking forward to their story from what we seen of them in there! I LOVED how obsessed Skylar was from the very start and how he just kept pushing and pushing 🤭 It was fun to see Bones try to act like he wasn’t interested 😂 My heart hurt for Bones throughout and I hated how he thought he needed to be alone when some many people loved him and had his back, I loved seeing him finally come to that realisation.
I really enjoyed the storyline, I liked how things played out and came together. I loved the racing elements! I loved seeing the other characters and how they always had each others backs 🙌🏽 I’m so looking forward to the rest of the books in this series, I feel like each book is just going to get better 😍

What a whirlwind. I just knew after finishing Racing Hearts, that I WOULD love Sky and Bones’ story. AND KA KNIGHT DELIVERED.

Sky came from the streets and had to fight his way to becoming successful. He built his life brick by brick with no blood family, just his found family. Bones was born into a wealthy family, but his home was broken. He didn’t know love or how to be loved. Together these two broken souls found solace and true, heartbreakingly beautiful, love. Skylar and Bones’ love story was phenomenal. They both endured many hardships that left them broken in their own ways, but their love was slowly rebuilding their broken pieces.
I am SUCKER for Found Family and banter and this book is rich with both!

I thought that the first book in this series was amazing and it is, but from the very first page, the chemistry between Skyler and Bones is undeniable, and it pulled me into their world and refused to let go. Katie does an exceptional job of weaving together her characters so I never want the book to end.
Skyler and Bones are an amazing couple that had me swooning from start to finish. Their relationship is electric, with the perfect balance of banter, tenderness, and spice!. The banter between them is frikken hilarious, but it’s the emotional depth betwern these two that truly shines.
Katie knows exactly how to get under my skin and make me feel all the feels, whether it’s through a heated argument, a vulnerable moment, or a passionate night in *wink*, I always find myself completely invested in every book she writes!
The plot itself doesn’t slow down for a second. Suspense kept me on edge the whole time while the emotions in this book run deep, adding an extra layer of depth to this already heart pumping connection.
And let’s not forget the spice, Katie knows exactly how to deliver those spicey moments that have my heart racing, but it’s always with purpose, which just added to the intimacy and connection between Skyler and Bones in my opinion.
What makes this book so captivating as well, is the way Katie infuses her writing with something I cant put my finger on that just makes me addicted to everything she writes haha. I swear the pages must be laced with something!
But whether you’re already a fan or new to KA Knight’s writing, this is a must-read that will leave you swooning, gasping, and eagerly flipping to the next page.
KA Knight has truly created something special here, and I can’t wait to see what she’ll deliver next!

And let’s not forget the spice, Katie knows exactly how to deliver those spicey moments that have my heart racing, but it’s always with purpose, which just added to the intimacy and connection between Skyler and Bones in my opinion.
What makes this book so captivating as well, is the way Katie infuses her writing with something I cant put my finger on that just makes me addicted to everything she writes haha. I swear the pages must be laced with something!
But whether you’re already a fan or new to KA Knight’s writing, this is a must-read that will leave you swooning, gasping, and eagerly flipping to the next page.
KA Knight has truly created something special here, and I can’t wait to see what she’ll deliver next!

It was so great to be back in the world of Pine Valley again! I absolutely loved and devoured Racing Hearts, so book 2 was a must read! I did have an ARC of this book, but couldn’t get to it in time before release (they’re bigggg boys!)
Right off the start line (😌) I loved Bones & Sky! I mean, Sky is such a sweet, caring, fun, happy character. Whereas Bones is more of the closed off grump, who doesn’t smile and does NOT fall in love. Nope. No way.
Sky is absolutely obsessed with Bones and quite literally forces himself into Bones life. He’s there. Always there. Everywhere. And he’s not letting Bones get away from him without a fight. Even with a fight honestly. This guy is OBSESSED!
The touch him and 💀 vibes on both sides with both MCs was STRONG. And it’s been a hot minute since I’ve read an actual physical fight scene where they have to protect one another. It was kind hot 🥵😂
There are a lot of layers to their story that you kind of just have to read to understand. Bones has an ex that disappeared, a dad who doesn’t want him to be gay, and really doesn’t want him to be with Sky. Sky is a professional racer, and someone is trying to sabotage their big race.. like I said, a lot of levels. But everything makes sense by the end. It all gets wrapped up.
I can’t wait for book 3! I’ll be looking forward to Mackie’s story from now until whenever it comes out! Big age gap? Yes please!
Overall I loved this story. It was a bit overly cheesy for me at times but it fit their relationship well. I absolutely HATE when parents get involved in relationships and they actually break up because of it (even if it is short lived). I feel like Bones cried A LOT which again, made sense but I kinda got annoyed with it by the end.. just little things that didn’t make it a 5⭐️ for me, but I still loved them. And I’ll be continuing with the series for sure!

4.25-4.5 stars for me!
I completely adored this story, Skylar is just an absolute delight of a character, just a complete maniac golden retriever for Bones LOL. His joy and determination was just delightful to read about.
If you're a fan of grumpy/sunshine, found family feels, opposites attract, obsession and possessive feels that border on stalkerish lol, and hate to lovers, then you should definitely check this one out. While it's the second book in the series, I think that this one does stand pretty well on its own.
I just loved Skylar and his inability to back down and stop pursuing Bones. He was just hilarious, sassy, snarky, and a perfect match for the grumpy lawyer-to-be. I think that these two were perfect for each other, both bringing much needed life and happiness to their lives. I also enjoy the found family elements in this, from Skylar's new job with the racing, to their friends in college.
There is much less push/pull, two steps forward and one step back again, than there was in the first book, for which I am thankful. There is still a bit of flowery prose in the dialogue considering these are two young men in their 20's, and I still think the author needs to have a bit more realism in her sex scenes (Seriously, there are at least 2 penetrative scenes with ZERO hint of lube being used, like really? LOL) but overall, I enjoyed this one so much and loved reading about Skylar and Bones falling for each other.
I'm desperate for Noah and Mackie to get a story so we get to see everything going on between them, so I hope that'll be a future couple in this series!

The drama. The brattiness. The tension. I am obsessed. I enjoyed the first book in the Pine Valley College series, but I LOVED this one.
Skylar and Bones are so much fun together. Skylar is relentless, cocky, and a bit deranged. Bones is grumpy and likes to pretend he's over it - but he secretly loves the chase. Their hot-and-cold dynamic marries heated passion with tender vulnerability. It is absolutely natural for a furious slap to turn into a gently held hand between them.
Naturally, the magnetism between these reckless wrecks revs up their sensuality. Crashing Hearts is one of the hottest books I've read in a minute. There's power play, praise, and maybe some crimes against cake.
Just as in Racing Hearts, I ate all the pet names up. Calling a classically masculine man a beautiful angel does it for me.
While Skylar and Bones steal the show, I've become very invested in the Garage of Gays (as I lovingly call them in my head). The high-stakes suspense that develops midway through the book had me anxious to see this found family survive in one piece. The glimpses at another budding relationship left me excited to see their story unfold as the series continues.
I also like the interior design of the copy I received. The icons are adorable and perfectly fit the characters.
My only note is it felt a bit odd for Bones to refer to himself as a lawyer when he is still in law school.

CRASHING HEARTS BY K.A. KNIGHT ARC REVIEW
Crashing Hearts is my first introduction to K.A. Knight and to the Pine Valley Collage series. From the first sentence of this book I was immediately obsessed and I couldn’t put the book down. I am blown away by K.A. Knight. I am in love with Skylar and Bones. From start to finish, the chemistry between them was palpable. I was pulled into their world and they had me swooning the entire time. Something about these two was just very addicting.
I loved their dynamic so much, their relationship was full of perfect banter, tension, passion, and tenderness. Bones tried so hard to push Skylar away but I loved how Skylar never gave up on him and their relationship. If you truly love someone, you will keep fighting for them no matter what.
I also loved the plot of this story. Everything was so intense, it was full of suspense and had my heart racing many times while reading. Overall this book was incredible and I can’t believe I never heard about this series before, it is definitely underrated and I am going to pick up book one immediately because I am very intrigued to know about the other couple that was in this book.

This is the first I have read of this author, KA Knight and I did enjoy the story. Both Skylar and Bones struggled growing up, one in the foster system and the other wealthy and without love yet they ran in the same circle. One wanting a relationship and the other not, there was a lot of push and pull in this coupling. Once they began to accept that they needed each other I found them to be a bit too sappy for my likings. They just weren’t my cup of tea and that’s ok- we all can’t agree on everything.
The storyline was really good, it was different from the tropes I usually read and was certainly a page turner! There were a few twists and turns that kept you on your toes while the characters maintained a fantastic support system with their close circle of friends.
As far as the flow of the story, in my opinion, the writing was a bit choppy, it was lacking smooth transitions between scenes but I think that comes along naturally as time goes on and books are written.
Overall it was a good read, I just hope the characters in the next story are not quite so sappy and carry more confidence. I look forward to reading more and seeing the growth occur with this author. Happy reading!

I loved this! I fell in love with both Skylar and Bones right away and was glued to their story. It's one of those books that you pick up and feel like you have to finish it in one sitting. Their chemistry was incredible. You get great banter, lots of swoony moments, and fantastic spice.
I loved how much Bones tried to push Skylar away, but Skylar wouldn't have it, and he never gave up. On top of that, the plot of the book will keep you on the edge of your seat. I have discovered over the last few months that I absolutely love romantic suspense and this book delivers that.
I've been a huge fan of Katie's work for years and each book just keeps getting better and better. I'm so thrilled that she's branching out into MM romance because this series is definitely a new favorite for me out of all of her books. It's a series I'll come back to, and I have a feeling it's one that I will love even more each time I read the books.

This book is OTT dramatic with sometimes cheesy dialogue, and ridiculous plot lines but it also has one of the most perfect couples ever, a bunch of laughs, a billion adorable scenes, and some of the hottest sex scenes I've ever read (and I read a lot). You'll have to ignore the obvious lack of lube - just enjoy the fantasy.
The couple from book 1, who are as amazing as this couple, do pop up quite a bit in here but it's certainly not necessary to read book 1 although why wouldn't you want to💙

Only ever you.”I love evenly matched in size couples and these two are ridiculously hot together. Skylar and Bones… BLOODY HELL. What a story. What a couple. What an experience. Sky has officially dethroned Zade as my number one book boyfriend—sorry, Zade, it’s been real, but there's a new dangerously addictive king in town.
Am I questioning my life choices? Oh, absolutely. But honestly, that’s just another Thursday for me.. The real tragedy here? I will never be able to look at chocolate cake the same way again. Ever.

so so good per usual 🤭
there were a couple parts that frustrated me (but that’s because the mc was being difficult 🤣 so that was the whole point) & i hate the little miscommunication that happened but i do appreciate how quickly it was resolved, it didn’t give me time to stew in it.
this kept me on the edge of my seat, the spice was hot hot hot & of course the jealousy and possessiveness had me kicking my feet. i also loved how persistent Sky was & how open with his feeling he was throughout the whole book. ☺️
overall this was SO good, but i swear every book i’ve read by K.A Knight has been chefs kiss. 🤌🏽😮💨

Every year there are a few characters who have my heart. The first one this year is definitely Bones but also Skylar. I see myself in both these characters so much that this book had me on the verge of tears because Sky really saw Bones and Bones had never had that before. This was such a beautiful, but still very spicy, read and my highlights were either the filthy things Sky was saying to Bones or the scenes where Sky was giving reassurance to Bones about literally everything and just letting him know, no matter what, he will be there and love him. I wanted to put the birthday scene as a trigger because it truly almost had me in tears. I always think people are exaggerating when they say, "This book made me cry" but I would 100% believe it for this. It is book 2 in a series, I would say you should read book one but if you don't want to you'll have moments where you'll be confused but it's doable. I suggest reading both because Alek and Evan are so adorable.

YESSSSSSS!!!!! I've been dying for more of these characters since Racing Hearts and this did not disappoint!!!!
We knew Skylar had his sights set on Bones from the last book and I was to intrigued to know how it was all going to pan out! Both of these characters put on very different front, but deep down their both broken and just looking for someone to help put them back together again 🥹
I loved the push and pull at the start, the way Bones was determined he didn't need Skylar, and how Skylar wasn't ever going to give him up regardless!
There's the usual twists and turns we've come to love from Katie, but between those there is such a beautiful story of growth and love between these characters and I was so here for it 🖤

I loved the first book with Alek and Evan, but Bones and Sky have won my heart completely.
This was similar to Racing Hearts, but the storyline felt much more normal and kept me enthralled. I loved Sky's tenacity. I loved how he was able to break down the walls that Bones built over the years to protect himself. They were just the sweetest 😭
I have loved this series so far! and I feel like I need a book for Noah and McKenzie as well.

Wow. This Book. I loved it soo much Silas and Skylar <3 their dynamic and them individually as well just fantastic. The found family, mystery, romance and tension was just perfection. Was is too much spice yes but still I loved them together, I was rooting for them in racing hearts and their book was just great. Their character development throughout the book was great. All in all a great read. 4.75 Stars
