I discovered my passion for past life regressions at the age of 13. I came across Brian Weiss’ book Through Time Into Healing and I was so deeply intrigued by the idea of reincarnation that I decide to regress myself.
On the back of the book there was a suggested script for people to make a recording that they can play back and have their own regression. I thought to myself that even though I had no physical ailments or emotional issues to heal I was really curious and wanted to try. I recorded the script on a tape and a few moments later I began playing it.
What I experienced was so vivid and so dramatic that it shook me deeply. I had a peak experience. In an instant I become this other person who was running scared for her life. Through the guidance of the questions that were coming from the recording I was able to understand the story of that lifetime, the lessons and how that life related to the person I am now.
The most unforgettable scene of my experience came at the end of the regression. I was observing from above how the woman in that life passed away. In that moment of divine serenity her spirit separated from her body and began rising. Her spirit was beautiful white light. There was a path of white light leading into the distance, which the spirit drifted towards. At the end of the light path there was an opening, a door at the threshold of which another spirit composed of bright white light was waiting to great the woman’s spirit. I was in awe of what I have witnessed.
Several years later I had some dental work done which exacerbated a pre-existing TMJ condition. As a result my jaw was in constant pain and it was hard to even open my mouth and eat. After a year of unsuccessful physical therapy my dentist, who is one of the most highly regarded dentists in New York City, advised me that I either needed to have an operation during which my jaw would be broken and reattached back with wires inside my mouth or that I was to learn to live with the pain for the rest of my life. I was desperate for a real solution – one which would miraculously take the pain away.
That is when I remembered the regression I did as a girl. Not knowing what to expect or how would the pain be taken away I found a therapist and had two sessions. During these sessions I experienced several lifetimes and learned the connections they share with my current life. But most importantly I understood the information and the lessons that my body was conveying to me through the pain in my jaw. In a few short days the pain was completely gone and my dentist called my healing a miracle he has never witnessed before.
My belief in the power of regressions was forever solidified. Connecting with my past lives has allowed me to not only gain a better understanding of who I am and receive guidance but to also have a very real physical healing. I wanted to share and assist others in experiencing the amazing possibilities that a regression session holds. My love and passion for this work lead me to study with Brian Weiss and Dolores Cannon who are two of the most renowned regression therapists in the world.
Today, I continue to be amazed by the journeys each of my clients takes me on and to be in awe of the healing miracles I witness. However, none of this would be possible without the divine love that has created us and constantly supports us. That is why I approach every session with absolute trust that the Higher Self of each of my clients will provide them with the most appropriate information and healing that will serve their highest good.
I found it lacked a lot of credibility and that most of the book was merely Mira's opinions and beliefs.
It seemed like one of her clients could tell her that the sky was purple and she would automatically incorporate that into a new belief. In other words, she didn't question anything. She believed everything from all of her clients, even if it contradicted what another client said.
I've read Journey of The Souls, and I liked how a lot of the clients talked about similar experiences. Without scientific proof, that kind of thing helps me believe the experiences a little more. However, Mira's clients were all over the place. One was a flower. A flower. There was no explanation as to why he was a flower. I'm assuming he reincarnated into a flower, since the book was supposed to be about past lives, but I'm not sure. I do know that he enjoyed the process of being a flower - so there's that.
The book is a little bit about past life stories and a lot about theories of how time works and how we can change our future, present, and even our past with this knowledge. I still don't know how that all works, and I read the whole book.
In fact, there were a few sections of the book where I had no idea what she was trying to say. I didn't bother to reread it because I wasn't enjoying the thoughts I could understand, so why reread something that I probably wouldn't enjoy?
In short, I didn't like the book. I found it to be a bunch of hoo-ha that lacked credibility and didn't resonate with me at all. There were a few interesting thoughts to ponder, but those were few and far between. Not worth the read if you ask me.

It has been said that more people on the earth believe in past lives than those who don’t. It wouldn’t matter which side of the fence you fall, this book has wonderful recommendations for improving behavior and relationships to benefit any reader. You can be a skeptic of past live and still find relatable insights to improve your life.
However, for those that do believe, this book has a unique theory that all lives are happening simultaneously. As time in the scope usually defined by humans, doesn’t exist beyond this physical plane. Mira Kelley explains why this concept is so important in healing lives and relationship today. She cites examples of quantum physics that correlate and define this theory.
From numerous examples of case studies of her clients, she weaves stories of healing and life transformations. She explains to the reader how relating these things to the reader’s past (concurrent) lives can give “aha” moments to move the soul along it journey of discovery. While it focuses on the therapy aspect of hypnosis to clear thinking and heal your life, it includes so much more.
Beyond Past Lives is more than a treatise of hypnotherapy and delving into past life regression; Mira Kelley explains how each chapter is a lesson: “Exploring your past allows you to heal your present.” She teaches in chapter two that “All Lives are simultaneous.” Then she details in chapter three, “Every choice creates a new reality” and “You can converse with your higher self” in chapter four.
Her lessons and examples include, “Everything reflects you,” “Forgive yourself and Others”, “You can play with time”, “You can heal your body”, “You have the right to love yourself”, and “Trust yourself and follow your excitement.”
Mira Kelley practices regression herself to heal emotional and physical ailments she has encountered. When she was working as an attorney after law-school she began to have debilitating pain. When the medical professionals couldn’t help her, she consulted a regression practitioner. She was so amazed by the spontaneous healing that she began studying regression therapy with prominent practitioners. Her faith in the process and the spiritual lessons she has witnessed and learned led the way to this book.
She states that this book isn’t to validate whether reincarnation is real, or whether regressions is viable, she wants to share the tremendous benefits of how her client’s life has changed as a result of regression. The lessons are universal and everybody can find healing.

To reiterate what I started in the prior post about this author and her book, I found it extremely difficult to dredge through Beyond Past Lives. Especially when dealing with the given subject matter of New Age/New Thought. I found it especially insulting, not only to my sensibilities but to the trust a reader puts in a writer when they expose themselves to what it is that the writer has prepared for them between the covers. I am not familiar with Kelly's prior work but this one not only last me but through me for a loop only a dozen pages in, I hung in there until chapter 3. Her claims and findings were very hard to keep track of, and sometimes seemed implausible. In one instance she tells a story about leaving her business card between the pages of a book in the New Age section of a Barnes and Noble, and claims she acquired a client that way. She proceed to tell us how she took this man into a Past Life Regression session where he recounts a past life that took place in the 1960's. Apparently he offed himself, but no wait, in trance he's not done because he continues to recount details in a life that overlapped the one he left as a soul in the 1960s. This is where Kelly dropped the bomb that shit was about to get crazy. More like stupid. She ushers in some concept of a 'oversoul' compares it to hands, and the concurrent lives as fingers on the globe contributing to the evolution of this 'oversoul.' And you can tell she is used to a gullible audience because she suggests that you may have infact interacted with this over soul.
In short i was left unengaged, trying to figure out where she was going with this and what she was getting at, and more importantly what was the takeaway. I feel that as a reader if a writer can't draw pictures in my mind, and effect my heart with their prose, and the poetry in the way that they speak to me as the reader then I have nothing else to offer certainly not my time ans attention. The choice to take back the energy I'd invested in the form of intention when I entered this covenant with Ms. Kelly was not an easy one, but once I did further research and thought about how important my time was, it got easier.
I checked on Amazon to see what the streets was saying about this woman, like me and 3 other people actually believe this publication is trash. One girl named Bellaisa got a bit further than me says that at one point Kelly has a client who was reincarnated as a FLOWER? Yes America a flower. All I could say to my self was WTF are you serious? A flower, so with that I made the final decision to just DNF this thing. I will also be deleting it from my Amazon carousel. This was a really bad one guys run away
The book was suggested by a friend who knew I was deeply interested in the topic of past lifes and reencarnation. I honestly didn't know what to expect. Would this book be too radical in my way of seeing things and life? It wasn't, and therefore it is recommendable to any type of public. I clarify this because there are books that are too radical and can agitate too much people's conceptions and aren't for everybody- depending on their beliefs, cultural and religous background. But this book can work for everybody despite their background and mind openess.
Mira Kelley tells us about her experiences with clients' regressions and also with her own ones. In her list of clients, we find people like Dr. Wayne Dyer which of course elevates the interest in her work.
As we go through clients' regressions and stories, Kelley takes the opportunity to extract life lessons and highlight what can be beneficial from these sessions. These life lessons are very topic-wide and sometimes I felt I was drawn from the book's main topic to a more general self-help book approach. I wasn't very convinced by the derived self-help content since I really wanted to know about past-lifes and regressions but without too much redundance on the self-development portion which I've already been reading in other books.
The book also includes some exercises which I must confess I haven't done yet. However, I'm looking forward to doing them at some point when I find there is an issue to address. Since as Kelley mentions in her sessions, all clients had an issue to solve. In my case, I'm mostly curious about what I was in my past lifes. Although with this book, this perspective is widened, and it is not only past, but parallel and even imaginary lifes that we can create in our conscious.
I do recommend the book for those looking into a not so depth past-life topic but more superficial and with more self-help substance.
I found this book very interesting. I didn't really think of the concept that we are living all our lives simultaneously. Kind of makes sense though. I have participated in several past life regression group sessions and two of my sessions my past lives would have been at the same time and it didn't make sense to me. Now it does. There are exercises in this book that I can't wait to try.

A little bit tricky to give a rating because it was not at all what I was hoping it would be and I found myself often getting really frustrated since I was reading something so different from what I had intended to read. I was wanting a book heavy on the past/parallel life case studies. I LOVE the details. I want all of the details. And when this author did share stories, she hardly dipped her toe in. We just got the bare bones. I wanted something more along the lines of Brian Weiss or Dick Sutphen, someone who gives us the whole play by play, the whole conversation between the regressionist and the client. But that is not what this was. It was mostly Mira’s own advice and teachings, all of which were valid and interesting and there were definitely some gems. So not all was lost and I respect what she set out to do. … even if it wasn’t what I wanted. 🙃
Obviously this book is about past lives, but it has so much more in it, even for people who don't believe in past lives. It is a beautiful book of inspiration and guidance for finding the positives in life, for aspiring to live with joy and happiness. I don't know that I've ever highlighted so many parts of a book I wasn't reading for school. Every other page practically had something that felt revelatory and amazing to me. I don't mean to exaggerate but if you are open minded enough to read a book on the topic of past lives, you'll get a lot more than you bargained for - in a life affirming way in this life!
In her book “ Beyond past lives,” Mira Kelley explores parallel lives and more. I have read about parallel lives and other mind bending concepts in other similar books - it is not an easy concept to grasp initially because we are so used to linear thinking. It has been written and said that time is an illusion.
Mira Kelley writes about the over soul and explains that we experience some lives overlapping because the incarnations are happening simultaneously.
The book is beautifully written with case studies and exercises.
I have been interested in past lives for years, but this book goes beyond the concept into the true potential of reality itself. Even if you don't believe in reincarnation there are many useful ideas here that will expand your consciousness and help you function at a higher level in "real life".
A book that has transformed my view of the world and our time here on Earth. This book is full of surprises and little nuggets or information that can help people transform their day to day lives and broadening their view on life. Did not expect to love it as much as I did.
I found this read fascinating. I never rule out anything as impossible and the possibilities in this book just made me think for days. It was quite mind-blowing.
An interesting book that shares the joy and wonder about learning about our past in order to make our present and future shine. It definitely resonates and those who lean towards Buddhism will definitely find much to contemplate within the pages as will individuals trying to learn about who they really are and why they act the way that they do. This book really provides for a non-threatening way to look at ourselves in order to change our present behavior.
* Disclaimer. I received this book through the Goodreads Giveaways for an honest review*
I'm going to have to call it quits on this title. I tried, but after two months of struggling to get into it I just don't want to continue. I usually like books about reincarnation, but this one just didn't speak to me. Some of the ideas and concepts didn't resonate with me and even seemed a little far fetched. I wanted to like it and gave it a longer try then I normally would with a book, but in the end I just had to call it and DNF the title.
Really enjoyed this is a further expansion on the ideas in Many Lives, Many Masters by Dr.Weiss. Certain ideas do conflict a bit such as Kelley expressing that we can incarnate beyond human forms on earth whereas Weiss denied such possibilities. I especially liked it's exploration of parallel lives and Oversouls. There are also many good exercises. Recommend!
Great book ! Gives a bit different perspective on the topic of time - present, past and future ! Really inspiring and healing - would recommend to read it ! I just loved it !
This book is a beautiful and inspiring read about the divine potential of regression therapy. There's much that awaits to be discovered and Mira Kelley furthered the collective's understanding about healing. I loved this book and feel very grateful for being led to BPL. Thank you Mira for inspiring and teaching us about the true reality of consciousness.
“Whenever a choice is presented, our consciousness splits and experiences all possible variations of each situation. Each parallel self continues to create experiences and branch out into multiple possibilities. This applies to important decisions, such as whether to go to a specific college or whether to marry the person you’re dating.” ~p. 41
“There is no hurry. After all, we have an eternity to get where we’re going.” ~p. 89
“We wouldn’t exist if we were not desired and unconditionally loved, even before we were created.” ~p. 157
