I got an advanced reading copy of all the books in this box set in exchange for an honest review and my family hasn't heard from me in days. The collection includes a wide range of novels and novellas and there isn't a clunker in the bunch. I skipped around and thought I might not read them all, but I did! Pandora is fun, scary, romantic, mysterious, suspenseful, and dark! It pretty much made my summer! I'm so happy I got to give it a read for free.
We assisted in the solo publication of a few of these titles and have given permission for temporary republication of said titles through the box set. However, we do not profit in any way and are not responsible for any other titles in the set. Congrats to all the authors involved. We wish you the best success.
I've read several books in this box set and have reviewed them here on Goodreads. This is a bargain. You can pre-order now on Kobo and Barnes & Noble. Check Rebecca Hamilton's page for information: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
See my individual reviews for more in depth opinions. Books in this series that I have read: Rebecca Hamilton's HER SWEETEST DOWNFALL Noree Cosper's A PRESCRIPTION FOR DELIRIUM Christi Goddard's FOUR IN THE MORNING Steven Katriel's THE PORTRAIT OF ALATIEL SALAZAR
I can't wait to read more of this box set as I'm sure it will be just as good as the books I've already enjoyed!
I have only read into you by Riley j. Ford so far in this box set and it was an amazing read, funny, witty, and suspenseful until the very end. I would recommend it to anyone. I would love o read this whole box set!!
It’s kind of difficult to post a review for a box set of 20 novels giving all the works any kind of justice. I’ve read three of these novels so far: “Cleopatra’s Needle” by Carole Lanham, “Her Sweetest Downfall” by Rebecca Hamilton, and “A Prescription for Delirium” by Noree Cosper. I posted 5 star reviews for each of them which you can see under the individual items. Just those three works alone make this set the bargain of the century. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the set. This is high quality work at a ridiculous bargain. I highly recommend it based on the strength of those works alone. They are tip top!
I've read a few of the books in this set and I can say that any of them is worth at least the 99 cents alone! This really is the epitimy of too much good stuff!
I've had the chance to read two of these so far and am hooked.
INTO YOU by Riley J. Ford - This was an intriguing story, which gives a high school girl a powerful talent (reading minds) with a pretty heavy hook (only if she kisses the person.) The author does a terrific job weaving a down-to-earth girl's insecurities around normal teenage problems such as friendship, boys, trust and self-acceptance. It was easy to sympathize with the heroine and feel for her as she not only tries to come to terms with herself, but with the everyday battles of life as a high schooler as well as taking on the task of divulging a murderer. The plot had lots of twists and turns, which kept me guessing until the very end.
THE FORGOTTEN ONES by Laura Howard - Allison is determined to learn to take care of her schizophrenic mother even if it means loosing every bit of social life she'd ever hope to achieve. When her father shows up, the source of her mother's insanity, claiming there's more to the world than meets the eye, Allison is pulled into a jealous battle between godlike creatures. Although Allison seemed a little bit blinded by her extreme concern for her mother, her and the other characters were easy to understand and sympathize with. The reasoning behind the immortal creatures and their intentions wasn't as clear as I'd like to have seen, but it still made for an enjoyable read. I can't agree with the statement that there are no cliff-hangers in this box, when this story definitely ends with one right in the middle of a conversation (something I always find irritating). Still, this was a light, easy, paranormal read - great for a quick devour.
I also read SUMMONED early this year and found it captivating and well told.
In other words, this is a wonderful collection which will make paranormal fan's hearts beat faster. Not all novels are appropriate for the YA audience (as mentioned in the book's description), but the ones which fall into the YA category are well written and worth the read.
I received a free copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
Samantha LaFantasie's "Made to Forget" is in this collection and it's a great read. The story opens with Elsa waking from a coma to discover that she has lost her memory. You would think that recovering from her injuries would be a sufficient challenge but Elsa does remembers enough to understand that stakes are bigger than her personal trauma. An epic struggle is being waged between the two races of her world. Elsa’s a warrior; she knows that she’s a part of it and that it’s her duty to fight so she soldiers on even though she doesn’t know who are the allies and who are the enemies. The fast-paced suspenseful story kept me reading because I wanted to know how this plucky woman got into this predicament and how she was going to get out of it.
This review is for Made to Forget by the talented Samantha LaFantasie.
This is the first book in Ms. LaFantasie’s Nepherium series, and I’m hooked! Mystery, action, suspense, and my favorite, romance, all plays out on the pages like a movie on the big screen. This book is alive with a story that constantly keeps you turning the pages. I’m more than just a little intrigued to know how this unforgettable tale will unfold. I can’t wait to continue the journey with Elsa, Noah, and the rest of the characters.
Grab your popcorn and settle in—you are in for a literary treat!
What an amazingly refreshing and bone-chilling adventure can be found within the pages of this story! It combines some very harsh and challenging obstacles with such depth of heart and soul that you cannot walk away without being touched by it. I was mesmerized by the incredible characters that we discover along the way. There are layers upon layers of secrets and hidden agendas that are only just beginning to be revealed, and I found myself at the edge of my seat the entire time. There is never a dull moment, and I loved every minute of it!
The story begins with Elsabetha waking up from a terrible accident that has seemingly caused her to lose her memories from the last 6 years. If that isn’t bad enough, she feels that the people helping her are not all what they seem, and once released from her medical care, she begins her journey to unravel this great mystery of her lost memories and what led to it. As if seeing through a glass dimly lit, she starts to catch quick glimpses of blurry yet missing pieces to the puzzle that is her life. She stubbornly pushes forward in the face of an unknown danger that she feels lurking close by in the hopes of finding the truth before it is forever stolen from her.
Elsabetha is a character that really set the pace of this story. Her strong will and unstoppable determination kept me captivated as she defied everyone around her as she dug into her past. She needed to make sense of what happened to her, and she was not taking no for an answer. A force to be reckoned with, her strength of heart keeps her grounded and propels her to continue moving forward. Knowing there is more going on then what she being told, she is ready to tear the world apart to find the answers to this dangerous mystery.
Samantha LaFantasie drew me into her story from the first few words. Waking up from a come with such a huge memory loss is enough to keep me reading until the end. There are so many facets to her characters that I have only just begun to get to know them, and I can’t wait to see what she unveils next. Her talent is incredible, and I couldn’t get enough of her amazing world of unforgettable characters! Impatiently, I am waiting to see what the next part of this roller-coaster ride looks like. I can’t wait!
Thought I'd review this set while I was reading - so I'll leave a small review each time I finish a book.
Book 1 was THE BREAKER'S CODE by Conner Kressley. Cresta is a teenage girl from a small town where nothing exciting ever happens. But all that changes 3 days after the story begins when her house burns down and her life changes forever. The whole time I was reading this book I kept thinking to myself this would make an awesome movie.
Book 2 SHADE by Kelley Anne Blount. I didn't really enjoy this book at all. The beginning is just right there in your face with no lead into it at all. Then the whole story is told from the perspective of the 2 main characters. Hated the ending it just felt rushed and didn't seem to connect with the story that had been told the whole way through the book.
Book 3 The Forgotten Ones by Laura Howard Pandora promised me no cliff hangers so this book was a disappointment in the fact that as I found out after reading it that it's part one of the The Danaan Trilogy meaning there are 2 more books left to buy and find out the conclusion of the story. However that's the only disappointment I have with this book cos I fricken loved it. And will be buying parts 2 and 3 when I can. The story revolves around Allison O’Malley a 21 year old girl struggling with the responsibility of having a schizophrenic Mother. When Allison's father who she has never met shows up one day things take a turn for the weird as she is drawn into the world of Irish Fairy which is not always a nice place to be.
*****
I've read a few more of the books but frankly I am too lazy to write any more reviews (good job I'm not a writer or I'd be in trouble). I will say that most of the books I've read are awesome but and it's a big but - for a boxset that was meant to contain no cliffhangers I have found plenty of cliffhangers and a lot of the books are 1st book in a series of books so if you get into the story you need to buy the rest of the series to find out what happens. And some of the series aren't even finished being written which is a major annoyance (for me at least cos I want to find out the ending)
I've read Invisible by Author DelSheree Gladden from Pandora box set and here is my review for the book <3. Invisible is the first installment in The Aerling Series and it is an awesome series. Once you read Invisible you can't wait to read Intangible. Mason is invisible and he is not imaginary. Only Olivia is able to see him. They met when both were five years old. Olivia found Mason sitting on her porch crying (feels sad for him, I can picture his sad adorable face). She takes him in and asks her parents, they approve obviously thinking he is imaginary. But after some incidents they accepts him with open arms. A new girl Robin stumbles upon them and introduces herself to both of them, yes both of them. She can see Mason, which leave both of them stunned. Mason is happy someone besides his family can see him. On other hand Olivia is not ready to believe the new girl. They both want answers, but they were not prepared to dive head first into the world of Aerlings, Caretakers, Escorts and dangerous Sentinels who are now after Mason for his life. Sentinel attacks, searching for answers which are hard to find with Mason having nightmares which could be true, their world is turned is upside down. The story is great, I'm glad I stumbled upon it and fell, don't worry not hurt. If you haven't read, you are missing out. A great, awesome, intriguing, thrilling and a must read. Looking forward to read other books in the set.
I was invited to join a Facebook party celebrating this compilation of books and novellas being sold for 99 cents. I had to pick them up, I mean, less than five cents per story, what a deal! I quickly read the novellas by Rebecca Hamilton and Steven Kariel and will be reading more in this bundle soon.
The novella by Rebecca Hamilton is part of the Forever Girl series and takes place in the 1800’s. It includes elementals and beings that are dual in nature. The love story is sweet and not resolved till the very end of the story. The story by Steven Kariel was dark and also set in the 1800’s. The story started with a man reading a journal and carried on from there. It was an interesting twist and had a twisted ending that left me wondering – in an interesting intriguing way.
This bundle is definitely worth the money – it includes books that are okay for various ages of readers and provides stories from a variety of genres all in one bundle.
I had the pleasure of reading Made to Forget, which appears in this boxed set.
I loved the sci-fi, futuristic setting of the book. Several of the technological advances in the story definitely felt like they could exist in the next few hundred years. I also enjoyed the characters, especially Elsa who’s a no-nonsense kind of gal.
The story also strikes me as a mystery, as you put the pieces together along with Elsa, trying to figure out who is trustworthy, who staged the horrific accident she was in, and most importantly, WHY.
And the answer…I never saw it coming! How delightfully fun this was!
I'm looking forward to delving into the other stories, which are crafted by some pretty awesome fantasy/paranormal authors. I know what I'm doing this weekend :)
4.5 Stars How can I not give this collection a high rating. There were books I loved & will definitely be following up with the series. There were books that I did not enjoy as much but at least I can say that I gave them a go. Thoroughly enjoyed the journey from so many different authors additions. Would recommend this collection to all paranormal fans.
This was a great collection of books. Loved them all. Turned me on to some new authors. I enjoyed the lighter books at the beginning geared toward teens but I also enjoyed the darker adult books at the end. Something for everyone and definitely the best deal I've gotten. Have already bought more books by the authors in this set and haven't been disappointed yet.
The first two stories were twisted and I couldn't find the stomach to read further. It wasn't my kind of story and I feel as though it's scarred me. just a warning but it was much too dark for my tastes
