From the depths of their love comes misery, despair and heartache. For he loves her like no other and she him but they are told that their love can never be.
Brock and Taren’s love was as innocent as their childhoods but as they grew so did it. Their families were far from friends. Brock from the ‘Blue Collar’ side of the track. Taren grew up in wealth and privilege. But that didn’t matter to them as they were oblivious to anything but their friendship.
Brock’s determination causes him to devise a plan to have what is his, what was always meant to be but, will it be the end for him and Taren? Will his sacrifice cost too much?
A Modern day ‘Romeo and Juliet’ with a twist.

Best selling Author of Romance, Romance Suspense, and Romantic Comedy, Vicki Green lives in Kansas with her husband and two boys as well as their three dogs that rule their house. She loves spending time with her family and furbabies.
Romeo and Juliet is one of my favorite stories so when Ms. Green announced this book would be similar, she had my undivided attention.
Brock and Taren are from two different societies. Taren being from the privileged and Brock from the working class, yet their hearts don't know the difference because love knows no distinction. As Taren and Brock hang out together they get closer and closer to one another, and their friendship turned into love.
Taren's family - mostly her father - wants her to have nothing to do with Brock or his family but Taren goes against that because she loves him dearly. Her father has no choice but to make sure they never see each other and sets a plan in motion to separate Taren and Brock.
Brock convinces Taren to leave with him because he knows the plan will separate them forever if successful. As he fights for their love, there is an enemy lurching in the back that will stop at nothing to have Taren as his wife to get the upper hand; Brock, however, will stop at nothing to protect Taren from anything and anyone, even her family.
As I continued to read I asked myself, “How will Ms. Green do it to so this story will be like Romeo and Juliet?” And then BAM, there it was. As I read it, it had me on the edge of my seat with tears chanting, “NO NO NO, it can't be! Tell me it doesn't end like this!” Well, let me just say, Ms. Green threw us for a loop and it was very well done!
A beautiful story of true love and how nothing can come in between it when it's meant to be. ~ Kara, 5 Beautiful Stars
Well Vicki Green you are killing me right now! I really don't know how you do it, but you've just gone and written another masterpiece in Sacrifice for Love! I've just finished it and oh boy did I love it. I didn't cry this time but you did have me shouting out loud when kitchen knives were being brandished around!! Brock and Taren really deserve happiness but what will they have to Sacrifice to achieve it! Brock is a young guy trying to be with the love of his life whilst being thwarted at every turn. I really like the strength of Taren. She is very brave throughout and would sacrifice anything to be with Brock, maybe even her life?? However, my favourite part and I think you will find most of your readers think the same lol is Caylan. Caylan stole the show despite the book not being his story and taking into account that he's only in hit in the second half!! You are so sneaky using your model to become the character I love him, I can picture him, I feel like I can hear him and I almost feel like I can touch him because you've made him so real! This is certainly one of the strengths of your stories. Vicki you are amazing and your books are just blowing me, thanks for allowing us an early sneak peak! I award this 5 stars and lots more if I could ~ Rosie
Vicki Green has out done herself yet agin. This book has forbidden love, hate, desperation, tragedy, bravery, loyalty and friendship all rolled up into one story.
Brock and Taren have loved each other for years but it is a love that is not approved of by Taren's family. What lengths will she go to be with the man she loves? What will Brock do to get his girl back and what means will be used to stop them from being together?
This book was another book by Vicki Green that I could not put down. Once I started reading, I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next. I loved the story, the characters and the way the story unfolded. One more 5 star must read by Vicki Green!
I absolutely loved it! A fantastic modern day Romeo and Juliet, with a twist I guess! So beautifully written and such loveable characters! I both laughed and cried to this and it is one I'll definitely be reading again! Love the bond between Brock and his family, very refreshing!
I'm beyond excited to read more about Caylan and Irish, both brilliant characters! Will definitely be reading more of Vicki Greens books after this, highly recommend it!
This was a awesome read! Truly a Romeo and Juliet story! You will fall in love with Brock and Taren love for each other. Families trying desperately trying to keep them apart....but love conquers all with multiple twist.

This book was given to me for my honest review of the book. This book was just as they say, modern day Romeo and Juliet. I loved it from the beginning to the end. It was one that you would not think that would begin the way it did and end the way it did but it has a happy ending to the book that everyone would love to see. Brock and Taren had to go through a lot of stuff just to be with each other but when he shows that everything was all worth it in the end that their love is never going to end. They always find a way to be with each other no matter what. But there is a little twice to it that you would not actually find in the books or think that you would find. Their is lots of love and romance in the book and the undying love for one another. This book shows what you can get through if you put your mind to it and that you have the love and will power that you can just bring all of your families together and will show that love can actually conquer everything no matter what life throws at you. This was a very good read and I enjoyed actually learning another authors writing and will definitely have to read the next book that comes out with some other characters, but I am hoping that she will continue on this story and show what happens to Brock and Taren after all the love and death that they had to deal with just to be with each other.
This story drew me in from the first page and kept me on the edge on my seat right till the end. I don't want to give away spoilers so I'll keep it brief and to the point but if you like a romance that contains more than sweet syrupy easy love, than this book is for you.
When we first meet Taren, she is lonely and sad and being kept sort of a prisoner in her own home by her father who forbids her to see Brock, the love of her life. This story takes you on a journey with Taren and Brock and shows you just how strong their love for each other really is. Their love manages to survive not only her fathers disapproval, but also the threats of violence from Jeffrey. There was one part in this book where I felt like my heart was going to break into a million pieces but thankfully that was short lived and my heart once again filled with happiness for Taren and Brock. They finally get their HEA and while it wasn't how I imagined it would be when I first started this book, it works perfectly for this couple.
The main characters were very real and relatable and I just loved the secondary characters as well. I can't wait to hear more about Irish and Caylan.
A modern Romeo and Juliet story with a twist....And that is exactly what it is, Brock and Taren been in love forever...Families trying to keep them apart.Taren from money on which her dad has other intentions for her to marry another man to build the family empire bigger and forbids her to see Brock. Brock is from a middle class family and has full support from his family to get his love. Taren made a deal with Jeffery(the man her dad wants her to be with) to fake a relationship with intentions to hold out until her 21st birthday when she get inheritanc,e then leave house to be with Brock...Jefferey knew what was going on...but getting caught from dad being with Brock, he kicks her out. With the help of Brocks family, her mom and her friends, the plot thickens and the fight for their love to be together... You will fall in love with Brock and Taren's love story...love conquers all! This is the first book in Beyond Love series by Vicki Green and I am anxiously waiting to see what happens next in this new series!
Classic story of falling in love with someone from the other side of the tracks. Filled with lots of tragedy and passion. And a few twists here and there to keep us on our toes. And now a bit about the story...
Brock and Taren have known each other forever. They fell for each other when girls and boys still had cooties. A love like that is hard to break. However after a tragic accident that is Taren's father's mission. Can this princess really give up everything for love? Or will she die trying?
Favorite passages: - “Well, that’s very caveman of you.” - “I like him, like him. Who wouldn’t? Have you seen him with his shirt off?” I start giggling. “And he’s just so nice, caring, strong, and have you seen him with his shirt off?”

I found the characters in this book to be well developed. While this is a modern day love story, I found most of it to be believable. Everyone hears the stories from saying the one or the other isn't good enough for the other. This isn't any different, which makes it all the more convincing to me. I found that the first half of the book read a bit slower than the second half, at which point I felt the story just took off. I hate to give spoilers, so I won't. .. but I highly doubt you will be disappointed in this book or its ending. looking forward to the second in the series. **I was provided a copy of this book from Entertwine publishing in exchange for an honest review. ** Karie for Book Reviews & Take-Overs
This is about two people that are truly deeply in love w each other. They have families that disagree w the couple. Terrans dad gives her a lot of struggle due to a situation that happens. It's more of a disagreement on how an accident happened. There are some twist and turns in the book that gets you stuck on the edge. You are up and down emotional through out the book. I was rooting for Terran and Brock to accomplish all the sneak outs to see each other. You can just feel the pull they have towards each other. This is an amazing story. I enjoyed reading it and couldn't put it down.
This was an excellent read that I could not get enough of. It has amazing characters that you will fall in love with and a story that grabs you and will not let you go. I could not put this down, no matter what I needed to do and proceeded to carry it throughout the house as I did stuff. This book will sink its teeth into you and not let you free until you have finished the last page, and you realize then that you need more. This is a must read, no doubt about it.
I first heard about Vicki Green as I'm going to see her in person at the Hard Rock Author signing in May 2015. I wanted to read books from new Authors I haven't heard anything about yet. Trust me......I'm so very very glad I did. Take a chance, read what she has to offer. You'll fall in love with her writing style, I'm so glad I did. Sacarifice Love is probably one of my top 10 reads this year so far. Thank you! I totaly can't wait to meet in person!!
As Always, Vicki Never disappoints!! This book, like so many of Vicki's, had me from one end of the spectrum of emotion, to another - angry one moment, smiling the next! & as is consistently for Vicki, an absolutely beautiful love story! I look forward to seeing where Vicki goes with the next in this series.
This was truly a beautiful love story. As advertised a Romeo and Juliet with a twist. I totaly felt for them, for their forbidden love. Parts of the story had me in tears, but much of it warmed my heart.
This was definitely a good read and hard to put down, but not one of my favorites. That being said, I loved the lead in for Caylan's story and cannot wait to read it!
I loved the storyline of Romeo & Juliet. I loved that they didn't let anyone stop them from being together even through all the obstacles they had to go through. There were a few parts I was laughing so hard because of Irish. She is a spitfire. I'm glad I was given the chance to read it. Was not dissapointed (:
Review: Great read if...you like romance stories, easy reads, plot twists, young love and an HEA.
Side note: This was my first story by Vicki. It was a smooth and an easy read, definitely had some moments that brought me back to thinking of my first love. If you're looking for a modern take on the classic boy and girl from opposite sides of the track like story, here's one you'll enjoy.

Beautiful twist to the Romeo and Juliet tragic love story. Brock and Taren have known and loved each other since they were younger. Taren comes from a very known and wealthy family, while Brock doesn't have the wealth she possesses but he has something Taren doesn't a family who loves unconditionally and with no regards. As they grown up they build a love nest of some sort just a little piece of paradise for them two, a place they can escape from judgment and be free to love one another. Taren's father wants her to have nothing to do with Brock or his family, he believes they were the ones that caused the death of his only son. This begins to set the unforbidden love and conflict begins to arise by no other than the man her father wants her to marry in order to create a bigger empire for himself. Taren has the acceptance of those she loves and holds dear to her heart but will it be enough to withstand the turmoil her father is causing. Beautiful interactions between the two main characters it truly set it apart from other stories I have read, yes it had a similar plot but it stands out on its own.
Received this as an ARC for my honest review..... At first I wasn't sure about this book but as I continued to read it I was starting to get into the book. This book reminded me of the story of Romeo and his beloved Juliet and how their families didn't want them together. Juliet ( Taren) family being from the rich part of the town and Romeo ( Brock) being the poor boy from the wrong side of the tracks met in elementary school and have been inseparable since then. That was until a terrible tragic accident took the life of Taren's brother. That put both families at odds with one another. But Taren and Brock's love was a forever kind of love that nothing would stop them until one night that nearly changed the lives of the both of them. I never read any books from this author before, it was beautifully written you could see the characters come to life and you could also feel their pain.
OMG! Love this. At first I was bummed that it was looking like the next books was going to be Caylan's, because early on it seemed like the way Kane was being talked up, he might be next. But now I am so eager to read Irish and Caylan's story. I loved the Romeo and Juliet references. Too sweet, they also add that to the new house.
Brock and Taren have been sweet on each other since they were young. But unfortunately there families don't approve. Taren comes from money and with that come obligations her parents want her to abide by. Brock comes from the other side of town, and doesn't have the class and money that Taren's parents think she should be hanging around, thus begins the forbidden love.
I'm not completely sure how to begin with this book. It was painstakingly sad and beautiful all at the same time. I loved how the main characters never wavered on their love for one another. It was a book where I never asked why the characters loved each other because the author did a amazing job with the back story. The book showed judgement, greed, heartache and loyalty it's everything needed for a great emotional read. I can say that Vicki Green did no less than deliver with the first book in her Beyond Love Series.j it's a must read and I look forward to book 2!!!
this story is a brilliant updated Juliet and Romeo, full of true love, tragedy, friendship, loyalty, bravery, and it will have all your emotions rolling. Taren is from a wealthy family, Brock is not but their love from a young age never wavers, through tragedy they are forbidden to see each other and go to great lengths to go against their parents what happens will have you on the edge of your seat. This is such a powerful love story you won't be wanting to put it down, brilliant characters and amazing story.
This a great love story. Reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet. Taren is the well off girl who befriends and falls in love with the "lower class" boy, Brock. She is forbidden by her father from having a relationship with him. Like all rebellious teens, they continue their relationship. Taren will be independent of her father come her 21st birthday. However, her father intends for her to be married to someone else well before that happens. Taren and Brock's secret relationship is found out with dire consequences.
Wow!! This book is amazing. Vicki Green is an amazing author. I look forward to reading more of her books. I loved how well this story was written and that it hooked me from the first page. I also loved that the characters were very well developed and that I felt like I was connected with the characters. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
Great new take on the classic Romeo and Juliet.....Shakespeare would be proud!!!!!!!!!! I loved everything about this story, young pure selfless love, drama, angst, romance, friendship and a whole lot of sexy scenes. The characters are well developed and very likeable and the story flows really well. I cried, laughed and even shouted at my kindle at times. I just simply couldn't get enough. If it hadn't being for work getting in the way, I would have read it in a day!
I kept hearing this was a modern day version of Romeo and Juliet but wasn't expecting to get just that. There are twists and there is death, love, hatred, and lust. All the things that are needed to a fairy tale except this fairy tale is meant for those readers over the age of 18. Can't wait to see where book two leads us.
The story follows Brock and Taren in a modern day Romeo and Juliet with a few twists and turns. I found the premise of the story to be a bit unbelievable for modern day and couldn't really relate to the main characters in the beginning. I did however, love the epilogue with Irish and Caylan and very much look forward to reading their story.
