I have loved only one girl. She's everything that is kind and beautiful, and I'm just grateful to have her as my best friend. But I know that we can be so much more. I'm going to show her how much she means to me, and I won't let anybody keep us apart, not even my own brother. Football, friends, even family mean nothing compared to her. She is my future, and I'll fight as hard as I have to for us.
This book is told in alternating POVs and has an HEA and no cliffhanger. The second one in the series, More Than Enough, is about a different set of characters and has just been released on Amazon. This book is recommended for readers over the age of 18 due to strong language and explicit sexual content.
I love football. I love football players. it's football season so I am actively seeking out any football romance of any kind, cause I love romance. I will read beginning to end a book about football, I just wish when the authors do it they include football and not just allude to football here and there. I promise it will not detour the story it will only enhance it.
so.......with this read I kept imagining 90210 on crack or ecstasy with a lot of alcohol mixed in. then I kept comparing to jordan silver reads, just not quite so intense. nothing like I expected from reading the blurb at all.
why three stars......well at times the dialogue was off. not what high schoolers would say, at least in my world. but then I never went to high school with millionaire kids who are too beautiful to look at. these were like 20 something high school kids. kind of a class of its own with YA/NA/contemporary elements. in what world does high school like this even exist......oh yeah 90210 but on crack.
the characters were just way far fetched, but then I guess that fits the story. ok! ok! this is fiction. I get that. but even when reading fiction I don't want to be rolling my eyes and saying......yeah right with a snicker. after a while I found out.....while reading this book........that eye rolls lead to headaches, who knew.
anyway. I'm going to read Kell's story because, well, it's about a football player, and like I said I like football players and football. I'm also kind of hoping that the writing has developed more.
it's a decent read. not the best and certainly not the worst. I'm just middle ground with it and for those of you who like WAY mature YA then I suppose it wouldn't be too bad for an afternoon. don't expect to be just blown away because it won't happen here.
3 1/2 stars. I actually liked this book even though it hasn't gotten the greatest reviews. They did seem to be way older than normal high schoolers lol but I didn't care. You knew Bray loved her from the beginning. But on the down side I was so tired of hearing how beautiful carter was it was such a constant the it became annoying. Then it bothered me that she had such a low self esteem but I guess with a mother like hers I can understand. Overall it was a good book and I will definitely read Keller's story I was so glad that the author didn't turn this into a love triangle between Keller and Bray.
Without a doubt the worst "young adult" book I've ever read. I don't have a problem with sex in books, buy don't try to pass a book off as a cute romance when it's actually all about how Carter wants Brayden's dick so bad. I don't know any high school people who act like that. This may as well have been an erotica with some dialogue in it. So disappointing
3.5 STARS... It was a good one..I loved how Braden loves Carter too much & is determined to make her his..Also, the love Carter has for him..But, what I felt was this book was not like the author's other books i.e "Crazy in love & Always my girl" This book's writing kind of looked a bit immature & mistakes. But, I liked the story. It is just that I felt it had a great potential & author could have done much better with this book...:)
I really enjoyed the story of this book. it was quite enjoyable. My main issues which made me give the 3 star rating was the horrible editing job. there were errors throughout the book. Alot of errors such as "hear" instead of "here". They were so numerous and throughout the book I quit keeping track of them and writing them down. There were also errors in which they must've been a spellcheck error in which a completely different word than one that was probably meant to written was there. For those errors, they really interrupted the flow of reading while you tried to figure out what was meant to be said. I normally don't downgrade a book solely on editing issues but in this case I felt I must. If it was read by a layperson before being released, a layperson such as I surely could've caught the errors. I would think an author would read the book"s final version or have a trusted person do so prior to release. Surely if that was done, the numerous errors could've been detected and corrected prior to being sold. I hope the author will invest in a reputable editor and send out an update with corrections. As I said, I really enjoyed the book despite the errors. I will read book 2, and look forward to it. I recommend this book to those who like stepbrother, teen/young adult romances, just be forewarned of the editing issue.
Im going to be honest this was really bad, but I still liked it in the same way you cant stop reading gossip even if its bad or watch bad reality tv. I read a review that stated that its like a 90210 YA book, and thats spot on. These teens are rich, beautiful and successful.
Carter is the girl thats every guys fantasy even her new stepbrothers are head over heels about her. It gets annoying that this girl is perfect and every guy in highschool wants her and every girl wants to be her.
This book needed a lot ofmore depth to the story, character development and better editing. Not giving it one star, because eventhough it was bad, I was curious to read it.
I am sick in the head. That is the conclusion I have come to. First, I finished this terrible, horrible book. Everything about it was bad. The characters, the plot, the reality or lack thereof, the editing is probably the worst I have ever seen. To make matters worse....I'm going to read Keller's book. I am going into knowing how bad everything will be, and there is no excuse for the torture I am about to put myself through....therefore, I must be sick in the head.
This book did a great job getting you emotionally involved with the characters and kept me wondering how it would end, but the dialogue was so backwards, choppy and filled with errors (they made love on rose peddles) that I couldn't get past it to really enjoy the relationship.
