After recent traumatic events, Scott Bledsoe really wants to concentrate on readjusting to his new home life at Georgetown. Unfortunately, he can’t. A once-trusted friend and ally is in deep trouble. Friends and family warn him it might be a trap. Scott has his own serious doubts, but he cannot leave his friend to the wolves. While the authorities alternately help and hinder, Scott works to reach the one person whose life story could help him interpret his own.
This sequel to Brain Child doesn't disappoint. While the first novel was told from Scott's point of view, Like Minds alternates between Scott and Barbara, and her chapters are the high point of the book. Both points of view kept me on the edge of my seat, and I can't wait to see what happens in the third book.
I don't typically read sequels. After falling in love with Brain Child, I wondered if the sequel could be as good. I gave it a shot, and am happy to report that the adventure with my favorite characters continues in a manner that is even more exciting. Very much looking forward to the next book by this master of fiction.
