A coming of age book about six guys working in a National Park for a summer. The characters were well developed and I could just picture them on all their adventures. The summer had a lifelong impact on the author. It was certainly a summer of a lifetime. A good read.

A spirited telling of the outdoor and indoor adventures of six young men through a summer they would never forget. These sharply drawn characters search for and begin to find themselves in one of the great wildernesses of North America. Brings back so many fond memories from when I worked in a national park a few years back!

What a delightful read! This heartfelt reminiscence describes a summer spent by a small group of young people working and adventuring in the wilderness, while having tons of fun and forging lifelong bonds in the process. If only everyone could have such a transformative chapter in their lives!
