Loved it but it was too short. It was gross and so gory and creepy and I was upset when I got to the end because I have to see how this ends. This has been one of the goriest series I have picked up in a while and I love it. I think it will be a long night. Have pot of coffee going and am heading to start the third one now.
This, the second installment of the trilogy, is a bit different from the first novel. Rather than being terribly frightening, this book introduces a new character, Nina, and goes deeply into her life and battle with demons, both real and symbolic. I felt this story focused less on Iana and Coe and much more on Nina's life. This wasn't bad, just a bit unexpected. The writing, however, is tight, and I once again became lost in the story. Quite enjoyable, though grittier than the first in many ways.
It s been a while since I couldn't put a book down, or would immediately buy the sequel. This series has me in its grip and refuses to let go. You want to shout at the characters and rage at the demon. It s a gruesome, scary, nail biting read in every way.
It was a great book but the end left you wanting more and where were they going next. What is to become of Nina? Are her and Bill Coe gonna team up and kill the beast?
I thought it was a great book. Lots of un answers though. What is to become of Nina? Are they gonna team up to hill the beasties?
