I am Irina Ysobel Samonte. My friends call me Ice. I had everything planned - pag-aaral, pag-aabogasya then travel around the world.
Unfortunately for me, fate has a sense of humor. And it all started with a glass of water. Who would have thought isang basong tubig lang gugulo na buhay ko?
I stopped reading Wattpad stories because 1.) the stories are normally cliche and shallow 2.) there are usually a lot of loopholes in the plot 3.) the grammar is terrible 4.) the smileys are so jejemon 5.) most writers do not know how to use proper punctuation.
But not Ms. pajama_addict of Mistakenly Meant For You. I was hooked from Chapter 1 up to the last Chapter. No fillers. No dull moments. No unwanted drama.
The narration was superb and it felt as though I was part of the story while I was reading it. The lines were well-thought of and the two main leads were just flawless.
I specially adore Ice for she's no a damsel-in-distress unlike most female protagonists in Pinoy romance novels. And Fire Zamora, I've got no words for him, he's perfection "fictionified" if ever such a word exists.
I can't wait to read Mistakenly Meant For You part 2 and I will brave Typhoon Glenda tomorrow just to buy the book. This book's rating is 6/5, that's how good it is.
I just love this book.
According to the author, ito daw ang first libro nyang sinulat at nakakamangha lang kung gaano sya kagaling. Kudos.
Napanganga ako kay Irina Ysobel Samonte. Nakakatibo sya at first time kong magkaroon ng crush na FC.
I definitely enjoyed MMFY. You don't have here a "Disney princess plot" as the main character's a strong, intelligent and rich girl, and the guy's also similar. The story being set in high school made me felt nostalgic about those days gone.
The author's definitely skilled to be able to set the bulk of the story in a student leadership conference without making readers bored. And I love how she designed the characters away from the usual "innocent teenagers" stereotype - while the couple's both (technically) nerds, they have their "other" sides waiting to be explored. (Can't spill, this will be the focus of Part 2 though.) In essence, this isn't your usual teen romance but a "coming of age" story very rare on Wattpad.
Even if I'm giving this a 5 stars I felt that it could have benefited by filling some gaps, such as Ice and Fire's childhood connection. But I get the visual image the author's thinking here anyway, as if she's writing it as screenplay for a film.
I had to stop reading a lot of times during his POV dahil kinikilig ako sobra.
May isang line doon that encapsulates what I felt the entire time, and I believe this was in the POV of Fire:
Ang corny. Shit. Sobrang corny. Badtrip sa ka-corny-han. Nakakainggit.
As in same sentiments po Mr. Zamora huhu.
This is the first story I read written by pajama_addict. I heard a lot about her (you'll see all her stories on What's Hot list. Yes, that's how great she is.) and so I tried reading her book. And now I feel like addicted, I want more. :)
