#3 Love can steal your breath away… (Psychologist) Desiree Gaines diagnosed Decker the day they met. Her opinion: he's a sexy smooth-talking player who loves the thrill of the chase. It's only when he stops pursuing her that Desiree realizes she may have misjudged him. For the first time since she lost her fiancé and found out he wasn’t as faithful as she once believed, Desiree is intrigued…and scared she might be walking into heartache once again. Now that Desiree has stepped out of his wildest fantasies and into his arms, gorgeous (attorney) Decker Riley knows one thing: she was well worth the wait. Their physical connection is deep and undeniable. But Decker's past makes Desiree doubt herself when her old high school nemesis, his ex shows up, so he'll have to earn her trust, one sweet, sizzling kiss at a time…

I wasn't as impressed with this book as I was with Janice Sims other books... It was almost like I had to force myself to finish the book...

Here other books I couldn't put down but not this one. It was your typical hard to get books where the women doesn't want the man and she finally gives in and he ends up being the love of her life. I was more interested in the story of Pedra and her love interest than Desiree and Decker.

This was My first book by Janice Sims..I enjoyed the story ..and the happy ending. IT JUST was toooo mushy..I love Romance but it was a little overboard..
Or maybeeee I was wishing for Myself..Just the characters were toooooo perfect..Gonna start with the first of this series and See if I miss interpretated this story..because of previous mentions in other books about these two Peeps..that laid the ground work for this story of a nesr perfect couple..

Thief of My Heart is the for the third Gaines sister, Desiree who is a Psychologist. She met her sister’s cousin-in-law, Decker Riley who is an attorney and simple gorgeous. However, Desiree pegged him as sexy, smooth-talking lady’s man from the onset and she would not give him more than cordial greetings, as he was family after all. Decker however, was totally taken with her and made valiant attempts to show her but she had no time for such as she is still dealing with the loss of her fiancé who she loved relentlessly.

Janice Sims has done it again, she penned an awesome tale that kept me totally engage and even emotional at points. As we experience the journey of Desiree and Decker, we witness her change in prospective when he stops pursuing her. She wonders if she was wrong about him and we also witness her finding out if she was.

I'm a fan but...

I'm a fan of Janice Sims and I am a fan of the Gaines girls series, however this story was weak. Unlike the first 2 stories, there was no major page-turner plot. The back copy had me thinking the story would be about their struggle to get together after so much rejection on her part, but they were together by the 2nd chapter and what could have been a good plot driver in the ex-girlfriend was played out quick with no fuss, so no suspense there. They seemed like a great couple together, but this book needed more. Still looking forward to Meghan and Petra's stories though.

Psychologist Desiree Gaines has already formed an opinion of Attorney, Decker Riley - a ladies man who loves the thrill of the chase.
Decker is willing to prove her wrong and that she's worth the wait.

Oh.. I loved this story.. I stayed up late to finish reading about Dr. Gaines and Thaddeus Decker Riley.

I want a sequel because there was unanswered questions not revealed.

I love a great novel with a happy endings with just a twist of plot along with twists and turns.

You can't judge a book by the cover but psychologist Desiree Gains is always doing just that, despite her training. Will she miss out on true happiness because she want open the book.
