Rate this book
Boone Tackett’s year is off to a bad start. He is confused by new visions, doesn’t have a single class with his friends, and has to eat lunch alone. To make matters worse, he learns that a dark force is threatening the peaceful existence of the Mishpachah. When he finds that a mysterious leader with a bizarre secret has emerged among them, he is caught between defending his position in the garden and preventing chaos from overthrowing their way of life. With the assistance of the reclusive Binders, and an assignment that involves a society of misplaced collectors, Boone will have to pass through the darkness in order to save the garden and prove that he is not forgotten.

Lauren H. Brandenburg is a mentor, speaker, and author who happily blurs the lines between traditional genres in both middle-grade and cozy women's fiction. Her fourth book in The Books of the Gardener series, Orlo: The Created, was a finalist for the Selah Award middle-grade novel of the year. The Death of Mungo Blackwell, a humorous family fiction (Lion Hudson publishing) was longlisted for the People's Book Prize in the United Kingdom and won the ACFW award for contemporary fiction. Lauren is a former junior high and high school English teacher who stepped away from her profession to raise and homeschool her two children. She currently lives with her husband, Jamie, and their children in a lovely little town just south of Nashville, Tennessee where they eat and laugh a lot. www.LaurenHBrandenburg.com

Continuing Story of Boone. He and his friends have come back and they are now in high school and things have changed. Boone feels forgotten and alone. He and his friends are called back to the garden to help save the garden. More revelations are made and they learn more about themselves and about God. I recommend this book to everyone.

Lauren H. Brandenburg masterfully brings readers back to Kentucky, the garden, and Boone and his friends in a riveting second book. In this book each character takes accelerated shape as they explore new places and face character-revealing challenges. If you're looking for bible-based fiction and are open to discovering Boone's world along with him this book (series) is for you. The richness and scope of the Kingdom representation in Boone: The Forgotten expands traditional perceptions. Like the first book, there are a few technical inconsistencies. However, this coming of age adventure convicts and delivers a powerful story of transformation and triumph.
