Camille Gosling and her friends like to hang out after work and discuss...things; like what she'd like to do to her delectable boss Braxton Maddox, maybe little Ms. Hot pants should check who's in the next booth before getting into too much detail?
What I liked: *There were a few funny interactions between characters. *I actually liked Cami and her drunk mouth with no filter. *I somewhat liked the epilogue....could have done without the Tiffany bit.
What I didn't like: *All the friends acted like teenagers instead of grown ass women. *Heroine worked for Braxton for two years and he just NOW noticed her/started dreaming about her? Nope not buying that shit. Why now? *During those two years he has a "contract" with another woman who he f**ks. So guess what? Cami gets to see that. She sees pictures of them together. *He doesn't tell the OW he's dating someone else as per their "contract". *He f**ked her in his house, that he brought Cami to AND he moves her stuff into when they marry. Though, in his defense (not) he does offer to buy another house for her since it's obvious she's upset by it. *The OW tries to embarrass Cami in public. I could have just done without all the OW shit.. *Braxton has no consequences for his actions.

When Camille Gosling goes out for her Friday night fun with the girls, it is always a guarantee that her and the girls will be loud, proud, and full of mischief. This Friday is no exception when they begin discussing their long time crushes and what they would love to do with them. Little do any of them know that in the booth behind them is four men who are listening intently and may have their own interest in the girls.
Very fun read. Camille suffers from speaking your mind to a level that could easily be met with embarrassing moments afterwards. Braxton Maddox can't believe his prim secretary is quite the opposite and he is thrilled, he wants her and plans to have her now he has to prove to her he is serious.
One of my favorite books by this author. Reading about this group of young ladies, and the young men, and their humor and camaraderie, gives me a lift every time I read it. Reread 05/22 and thoroughly enjoyed. Such an amusing and loyal group of friends, the women and the men. There is a bonus story after this book that I have read before and enjoyed, “The Cougar and the Delivery Boy…err, Man.” A cute and very sexy story about that familiar guy in the brown shorts who delivers his hard package to an older woman, repeatedly. H was written very nicely and he and h had a sweet HEA.
* October, 2024 Reread this as it is in my top five favorite Jordan Silver books. But, it read a bit differently in the early scenes at the bar and grill. I love these scenes and practically have them memorized! Also, there was an intro into the book that I don’t remember being there, the girls are talking about going out for the evening. I don’t remember that part. I am wondering if the story has been changed? I am going to buy an eBay hard copy of the book and compare to the one at KU.
It's a hilariously funny story. I most certainly enjoyed it. Warning: Do not read it in public. Your loud laughter will get everyone's attention and you wouldn't want to explain it.
Sometimes, a girl just needs to read a light and fun book, and Sassy Curves fits the description to a tee. Jordan Silver turned my bad mood right around, with this little gem. Sassy curves is just what I needed, a book with hot alpha men, sassy females, and no angst. I really wish this book was longer, I would love to see more of the characters. I seriously couldn't stop laughing at their antics and wishing I had friends like that. Jordan Silver has quite the imagination and the wit to go with it.
I have never laughed so hard in my life. I had tears running after reading about Cami and her "sisters" at the bar. It was hilarious. I would read this one over & over. Loved it!!!
Doesn't matter how many times I read this book, I still laugh at the bar scene!
This won't be like my usual reviews because...well, quite honestly it's because this wasn't like the usual books I have read in the past. I don't know that I've ever read a romance novel that was quite so irreverent or hilarious as Sassy Curves by Jordan Silver. This was, by far, one of the most enjoyable, sexy, FUN, funny, hilarious, delicious love stories. If you want sex well, yes it's in this book, but not like you would find in other books by the same author. It's a little tamer. But the irreverence made it all that much greater than any of her books I've read so far. Yes, there was an OW issue, but Camy handled it in such a way that was, by far, the best any Heroine has ever had the audacity to do so in romance history...at least to my knowledge. The romance between Cami and Braxton was entertaining to read about, and the humor was off the charts. Though this was not the normal type of romance I'm used to, I would definitely like to find more authors using this style of writing, for it was an absolute pleasure to read. Some other readers found the Heroine to be a bit immature and even a tad uncouth. But in reality, she was just a normal, everyday virgin who liked to go out with her friends after work on Fridays and get a little plastered...and spill her fantasies to them about her boss. Nothing at all unusual in such a thing...nor immature. Some readers thought that Braxton was a man wh*re...except he wasn't any more of a libertine than any other rogue that has been written about. In fact, he was less of one than what I've read in other historical romance novels Heroes. There were some rough spots where grammar was concerned...quite a bit actually. However, if you could overlook that, then the story was just a fun book to read. Just don't have anything to eat or drink while reading it, or you might end up spewing it out of your mouth with all of the hilarious dialogue you'll encounter...and trust me, that is plentiful from beginning to end. Yes, I gave this book a five-star rating, and I added it to my Keeper for the Shelves collection, because everyone needs a bit of humor in their lives from time to time, and this book will definitely provide that.
PA, Camille "Cami" Gosling has been fantasizing about her boss, Braxton Maddox, since he hired her. She know her curves aren't his type Brax Maddox, CEO, of Maddox Industries, very efficient PA Camille, has recently became a distraction. For the last few months she has invaded his dreams and fantasies, she isn't even his type. A night out at a local hole in the wall bar, he sees Camille in a whole new light, he stakes his claim. His boys and her girls are are cheering them. Loved Brax and Cami's crews. The Chief gets best dad award. A fun fast pace, laugh out loud, steamy office romance. A great epilogue to wrap up their story.
A bonus shot story included at the end The Cougar and the Delivery boys man A sweet and steamy, older women, younger man romance.
I swear, this author can make me happy when I'm having a shit day. My internet provider needed a cursing out for being shitty. My vacuum broke on dusting day. I ran out of brandy for milk punch....
And then......
Boom. Jordan Silver smut to the rescue.
This heroine was a freaking trip. Word vomit galore. I dug it.
I have read a few of this author's other books and haven't really thought much of them but this was hilarious. Personally I would have loved a book for the other couples as the comedic value is through the roof. Was nice to just read a book that u don't have to take too seriously:).
The two stories in this exciting novel , captivating opportunity to read these characters chemistry makes for a perfect combination of storytelling .The incredible entertaining sexy,... sexual... , sensual, ...romantic journey of passionate love scenes inside, make for great reading.
Totally adored this story! Camille and her “sisters” were totally hilarious - laugh out loud funny. And they kept it up from the very beginning straight through to the end. I love the fact that Camille was right there under Braxton’s nose for quite a while. Love the way he figured it all out. It was a great story all the way around!
This book had the potential to be a good, maybe even a great, read. But all the run-on sentences, lack of punctuation, or punctuation where it didn't belong made it difficult to enjoy. Additionally, the lack of speaker identification made the "conversations" almost painful to read when you add in the aforementioned lack of punctuation.
This was funny and cute. I mean seriously your talking about your boss and he is in the next booth that is so funny I almost fell of the couch. The girl didn't have a filter to save her life.
This is one of my favorite Jordan Silver books. Cami and her friends are an absolute hoot. I love these characters, the story-line is fabulous (and hysterical) and the writing is great. Fabulous story Jordan Silver!
It was seriously disappointing. All the females were like immature 12 year olds. It was a bunch of middle School drama and behavior trying to be an adult situation kind of story. It had potential, but failed to follow through
Uproariously hilarious. Suspenseful, erotically wishful , realistically shamefully embarrassing but sweet. Fantasy come reality comedy romantic with spunk and family
Couldn't finish it after 37%. The MC says her thoughts out loud on every other page. Once or twice is cute and often comical. It's also nice when those thoughts are a semblance of dialogue and not complete narration. The cover is pretty great though.
Girl gang gets drunk at the bar. Guy gang are in the next booth. Hilarious truths come out. The girls were just an absolute riot n the dad was dad goals. LOL!
“Trots of the mouth” really takes the cake!! So so. Funny!! I really enjoyed these characters and the story. I would’ve enjoyed a bunch more scenes of their Friday nights at the bar. Or everyone coupling up.
