nice read

I enjoyed. It didn’t not get too deep in any direction, but stayed real and lighthearted. I enjoyed. Hope next book is good too.

I feel that this story of Jada's life had been well established in WHITE LINES the series. So, I wondered why the author felt that it was necessary to release a book in three parts that had been already established in ONE WHOLE BOOK & SERIES.
The story of Jada & her desperate for a man sister: Ava had been told so I didn't feel it necessary to read it, given I didn't really find Jada's life as a wild teen who'd developed a bad drug habit that resulted in her screwing her mother Edna's bf "Mr. CHARLIE", who had swindled her into turning tricks for her habit & talked her into prostituting herself for his Madame wife in an effort to pay off the debt of him financing her drug habit, then how she met drug dealer BF BORN, found herself getting well-acquainted with drugs while dabbling into his drug stash, which caused BORN TO have his mama Ingrid kick Jada out of the home she'd decorated for them, prostituting herself for less dollars with hood n*ggas on rooftops, getting arrested & jailed while pregnant with her only child by BORN's former friend Jamari, etc. etc., very appealing!
I read it once, which was difficult to get through or have me like the character JADA very much the FIRST TIME. I chose NOT TO RE-VISIT THE STORY OF JADA Again, & DID NOT FIND HER TO BE ANY TYPE OF 'DIAMOND', DESPITE HER PERSEVERANCE OF TRIUMPHS OVER HER DRUG HABIT THAT CAUSED HER SON SHELTON TO DEVELOP THE KINDS OF MENTAL ISSUES HE WILL SUFFER WITH FOR AS LONG AS HE'LL LIVE (in the literary world).

I loved this book..can’t wait to read part 2. I hope Jada & Born maintains a beautiful friendship even if a relationship doesn’t work. Great read

I read the original book years ago and it’s one of my favs so I decided to reread. Didn’t realize the broke down the original into 3 separate parts but still enjoyed it as much as before.

Like the rest of Tracy Brown's work, I really liked White Lines 1: Lost Diamond. I just wished it wasn't a novella. Tracy Brown knows how to weave a story and engage the reader. Even though it's shorter than an average book, she tells Jada and Borns stories. Then interweaves the two. I do wish (and maybe it will happen) that we heard a little more about Jada's sister Ava and mother Edna.

They came through a lot and stuck together even though their mother disowned them for a man. The bitterness jada had in her heart and still stuck around the first time
