A dangerous book. Not for its wording or contents but for its breadth in room for interpretation and lack in what the Islam is about. I've had great help from an islamitic friend who was there for me when I wonderded how something should be interpreted. He, with help of his imam, provided me with context and background. Those talks about the Islam were most valuable and the best way to learn about this religion
I'm afraid to be murdered if I review the content, so I will only comment about the translation. It's sometimes written in a bit of strange Dutch with words like "voorwaar" but apart from that it's very readable, with the Arabic sentences next to it so you can read it in the original language if you like.
Nu ik volwassen ben, ben ik de Koran beter gaan begrijpen. Echter, zie ik bepaalde betekenissen verdwijnen bij de vertaling. De Koran zou je dan ook het liefst in het Arabisch willen lezen en begrijpen. Wie weet komt dat ooit een keer, als Allah het wil.
