Bought this for my cousin who is currently studying the First World War and he loves it. It presents the more complicated aspects of the war in a student-friendly way and is split into easy bite-size chunks. The author has clearly put a lot of thought and research into this book - a must read for students!
I enjoyed reading this concise history of World War 1. Rather than concentrating on a particular campaign or theatre of war this book provides a diverse overview of WW1 from the causes to the final outcomes.
Obviously cant say I enjoyed this book as the topic of what it is about but its a fantastic information book if you want to gain some insight into the more complex aspects of world war one.
