When Tanith Russell gives up a coaching job in Majorca to move back to London, she isn’t sure she’s made the right decision.
The one thing she is sure about, though, is leaving her ex-fiancé, even though her decision has upset her parents.
She settles in nicely in her new flat with her best friend, Becky, also recently single after divorcing her husband.
As she starts work at a local health food store, Tanith feels she might finally have found somewhere she could settle, a place to put that wandering spirit of hers to rest.
But all that changes when she meets Adam Fear, a man who knocks her right back off her feet again.
With everything up in the air, will Tanith manage to find her way with Adam?
Or will she be left looking for a new start once more…?

Judging by the title and the teaser, I had high hopes for this book but I am sorry to say, it failed to win me over. I thought the story itself was lovely, but there were too many story lines : Becky and Paul and Rupe; Tanith and Rupe and Adam; Serena and Edward, Frances and Leo. So many obstacles and misunderstandings in every relationship. After a while I felt like it was a never-ending tale of miscommunication. I could have shouted 'just go and talk it through!!!! Stop making assumptions!' I know in real life we do assume often instead of communicating, but it was just one after another after another....
Flicking through the viewpoints of the characters was great. I liked knowing about each and every individual's feelings but I would have eliminated a few characters from the story. Because when I was completely lost in Tanith and Adam's story I had nooo interest and patience whatsoever to read about Serena... It made me want to skip chapters and I do NOT ever skip pages in books... That's a pet peeve of mine....
I like the style of writing and I must admit I couldn't put the book down till I finished it completely, because I was desperate to figure out how it works out for Tanith and Adam. I would say I am into delayed gratification but it was just too much delay for my liking and too much drinking... Everybody was on the champagne all the time... It disturbed me after a while, thinking all the characters are constantly tipsy.
I also found it really odd how all the characters said they were in love even though they have not even been on a single date with their love interests by then... Surely people don't say 'I love him/her' that easily....
The ending did not disappoint though: it gave me a happy/swooning feeling, that a chick-lit supposed to, hence the 3 stars. I am glad I read this book (for free it was definitely worth it) but I am not sure I'll ever re-read.
I'm glad this was a free book because I'd have wanted a refund if I'd paid for it. The principle problem was I couldn't care less about either Becky or Tanith. Neither was very likeable and I was particularly annoyed by Becky's attitude to Tanith. It was implied Tanith owed the men in her life something whereas actually it is not a bad thing for a woman to remain in control and not be desperately seeking anyone. One should be careful with the feelings of others but it is not wrong or selfish not to want to be involved or hold oneself back. The author pretty much lost me at that point and the plot wasn't strong enough to recover.
A good book which keeps your focus but I guessed the ending about half way through. Didn't stop me enjoying it. Definitely one if you want an easy short read x
