SPOILERS!!!

I don't know if i'm annoyed or impressed with Cat.. She is emotionally mixed up and has chameleon personality. and she jumps from man to man... i mean i understand the guys she falls are 'not good' but if one actually like or love a person, one has to look deeper. In the first book, Cat does not love Clark, she does not feel a 'zing' with Clark but with James so she ends up with James. We know in this book that James was a criminal who trick women into prostitution so it was understandable. However, then she thought she loves Clark and gets jealous of him. then she is not in love with him. She turns to Macho whom she feel the 'zing' with. she gives him her virginity. then Maco turns up to be a cop and suddenly her feeling seems betrayed. understandable but should she at least find out the truth of why Macho was there. Macho left and she goes on to fall (maybe) for Xavier since when Macho kiss her later, Xavier pop up in her mind... Hell girls, r u sure u are ready for love? I swears if she end up with Xavier and another guy pop in again, i'm done with this series.

and Bob... WTF!

Putting on his poker face, he adopts a distant tone. “I don’t want children. Frankie should have known better. We’re a church, not a brothel. Nuns don’t just get pregnant, Cat. People would know. We can’t risk it. We can’t risk our reputation. People trust us. They trust the church.”

Erm.. pot call kettle black... if Bob has cared about reputation, he should has stopped from the first step of not fucking Frankie in the first place. This is totally hypocrisy... 'Nuns don’t just get pregnant' ... DUH! Priest should not have sex with nun too, especially someone a lot younger than he is... and what Bob came to love Cat in the end but he is not willing to give his chance to love his own CHILD!!! this is ridiculous... this second book is a roller coaster of emotion for me again. the plot is good but it is all mixed up.

it's a 4 but it was like a 5. This book didn't have the same excitement like the 1st... like the kick ass but Night Fury was still a kick ass.
Anynway, my likes for this book were :
- I got to read the second book.
- my suspicions were so wrong!!!!
- unexpected!!
- intriguing!
- immersion, couldn't read this one slooowwwly.
- the characters
- the new characters.

yeah I was expected so much actions and also major cliffhanger. adding with the wait for third act. boo me.

oh as for Night Fury, I could have hate the characters because she was like I like him I don't like him and I like this new one.... but I remembered that she was still young, naive and lack of experience/contact. she is not stupid bang my head, just a girl with only a fake family filled with love, only a kind.

Oh dear. A lot happens in this one, a lot.

Cat seems more all over the place in this one, but I can't say it bothered me, I mean, this is a teenager raised among assassins posing as nuns and a priest. What girl has it together in this environment? LOL.

Not so much action in this one, but certainly a lot of questions answered, and even more arising.

Can't wait for the next one to come, 'cause I really wanna know what's the deal with Bob, this organization, what will happen with Xander...

I'm going to have to think about this one. In the first book, Cat did seemed to jump from man to man. I was a little afraid she'd get worst. I read the reviews and it seems she now has feelings for a third man? Get out of here.

Cat annoys me. Why must she fall for whichever new guy arrives on the scene and discard the previous one(s) like yesterdays panties? I really hoped for there to be more about Marco in this book, that's what captured my interest at the end of the previous book. Will I read the next instalment? Yes. I need to know what will become of this story, unfortunately with less enthusiasm than I would like.

After seven years these Night Fury books were completed you would think the 3rd act would be done. The ending was a cliffhanger. Is there going to be a 3rd story? A complete ending?

זהו האקט השני.. מבין השלושה

האקט הראשון נגמר בזה שקייט מצאה משהו מתחת למיטה של מארק,

So fucking stupid. You sure know how to pick ‘em, Cat.

ו"קצת" כועסת על זה.

“You’re upset about something. I get that. But I don’t know why.”He eyes search me while his voice softens, “Tell me what’s wrong, honey.”My back arches like a rabid dog preparing to attack. My body trembles, fighting to hold back the anger that threatens to overcome. I speak through gritted teeth, “Don’t you call me that. You shut your fucking mouth.”Blood slowly drips down his neck. He put his hands up slowly in a placating gesture. “I’m okay. You broke my nose but we’re cool. I’m not angry. So why don’t we take this back to my room and we can talk about it there. Okay?”I’m just about ready to attack for a third time when he utters softly, “Baby, if I did something to offend you…”I spit, “Your being alive offends me. Shut the fuck up.”

באקט השני אנו מגלים מה זה..

“Marco’s a cop.”

שזה קצת בעייתי, כי העבודת קודש שהם עושים (וזה המונח הנכון, הם מנהלים כנסייה) לא הכי חוקית...
נסתרות דרכי האל 🤣

ואז זה נהיה קצת עצוב ☹

“Oh, sweetie—”I swipe furiously at my face and sniff. Something deep inside of me refuses to believe Bob would do something so callous, especially to me. I try to think, be emotionless. What would I have done? Finding courage and dignity, I steel my voice and jerk a nod. “If you say you know what you’re doing, I trust you. You’re right. You’ve never given me reason to doubt you before; I’m not going to start now. If my virginity was a cost to keep us safe—”I start to walk away. When my back is to him, I firm my voice, “Then so be it.”

אבל מצד שני, הוא אמר להם להתרחק אחת מהשני... וגם מארקו אמר שתתרחק ממנו... אבל...

באקט השני, אנחנו גם מגלים מה היה האירוע ששבר את קייט... וזה...

Bob pulls out his .357 magnum from behind him, aims it a hair’s breadth away from James’s forehead and pulls the trigger. The shot echoes throughout the distance. Something warm splatters my face. I gasp in shock as James falls to the ground, motionless. My mind blank, eyes tearing, body trembling, I whisper, “No.”Bob stands there, looking down at James, huffing and puffing from adrenaline. This is just a dream. I’ll wake up any moment and see this was all just a dream. “No.”I look up at Bob and wail, “No! No, no, no, no.”I drop to the ground and kneel by James. There’s a hole in his forehead and his eyes are open. He bites his tongue. His head lolls. He’s very much dead. Not able to stand it, I let out a keening cry so pained I think that God himself hears me. I cry in hurt and heartache. I cry til I’m numb. I feel Bob behind me. His hand touches my shoulder but I shrug him off. “I hate you! I fucking hate you!”Bob stands back, allowing me distance. He stays quiet a long time, listening to me cry, before he tells me something I didn’t know. “He wasn’t just a drug dealer, Cat. He was selling women. Not just women but teenagers, close to your age. You know what his position was?”But I don’t answer. I don’t want to know. Still kneeling, head dipped, my body shakes in silent sobs. “He would break them in.”

לא נחמד בעליל, וגרם לי לאהוב את בוב יותר ויותר!!!

אחרי שעיניין הרומן ירד מהפרק, אנחנו צופים במערכת יחסים של קייט ובוב

“Great job today. Soon you won’t even need sessions.”I couldn’t tell you why, but as he says that, my chest pangs. Rather than show any emotion, I lie back on the ground, chest heaving and cover my eyes with a forearm. I don’t want my sessions to end. If my sessions end, what time will I have with Bob? Just me and Bob. I suppose I sound like a whiny little brat, but Bob is all I know. He is my protector. My guardian. My role model. Sure, he could have been a better role model, but I say he did good with what he had. That he does good, still.

I read the second act in the hope that the story would get better. It did. I don't think I'll read the third act though as it hasn't really grabbed me. Cat seems to get the hots for any red blooded male, and 'Father Bob' is a contradiction unto himself. I did love Tomas and Xaviers characters though.

3-3.5 Stars!

Oh how I so desperately wanted to give this 5 stars... Unfortunately, though I really liked this 2nd book, I think it wasn't quite up to par for a 4/5 rating. Overall, I think all the flaws could be easily fixed if this novella was longer. And I don't mean an expansion of the story as this is obviously a series so unanswered questions will be answered later...but I mean a lot depth could've been taken in this part of the story.

Other than that and maybe 1 or 2 resolutions that were a little too convenient, the story was great. What's written on the page isn't bad, it's what's missing that prevents this book from being the best it can be imo. Despite my slight disappointment in the turnout of book 2, I still look forward to reading book 3 as I'm dying to know how book 2's cliffhanger is resolved and explained (I have my conspiracy theories jotted down and ready to go). If you've read book 1 and are debating to read book 2, I say read it. Unless there's something else you've been dying to read, this ones a good one to pass the time. I can't say that it's better than book 1, but you'll still find some enjoyment in reading this one if you immensely enjoyed book 1.

Okay, it is official, Ms. Aurora you are one evil woman. The cliffhanger of "Night Fury: Second Act" still has me reeling. After reading book one, I was a little ambivalent about whether I truly liked this serial series or not. Well, now I can truly say that it has grown on me tremendously.

Our story begins right where the previous one ended. It seems that after giving her virginity to Marco, another operative, Cat discovers that he has a major secret. This secret is catastrophic and she feels she has no choice but to report it to Bob. However, before she has a chance to do so, she confronts Marco and give him a major beatdown and breaks his nose. When Bob walks in on the fight and Cat reveals Marco's secret, Bob admits he already knew it and was hoping Marco would try to get close to Cat. Once again she is feeling betrayed.

If this is not enough, Tomas, a boy I suspects is autistic is having a major meltdown at the library when a man insists that he goes with him. This man is Xavier and he is Tomas' extranged brother. Cat is suspicious and wants Bob to investigate. It is soon revealed that Xavier has recently been released from jail and has a drug problem. Then, one night he shows up at the convent seeking help in overcoming his addiction. Now it seems he has wormed his way into Cat's heart.

This episode was chocked full of excitement and surprises. Someone Cat loves dearly will go through something epic that will cause them to leave the order. This will also break Cat's heart but she will fight for her friend. Then, the unthinkable occurs, there is another major revelation and this one will change Cat's view forever!

I really enjoyed this second installment much better than the first. I now feel as though I am total invested in the characters and I'm on the emotional roller coaster ride just as they are. This one really ended in a bang and I cannot wait to see how it is resolved!

Introduction
This book follows on from Night Fury: First Act. This book follows on from when Cat found out some very important information about Marco. She feels used after. We get to see more of Thomas, who is very intelligent but doesn't speak. Cat feels very protective about him and tries to understand the way he is. Cat goes into the records at Mirage and finds out some very important information about herself.

I loved this book, I purchased it the day it released because I had read the first one and wanted to find out the big secret. My favourite character was Cat. She is amazing, strong, stands up for what she believes in, and can hold her own against anyone. She just stands out to me as a character. This book has a way of gripping you from the start and just making you want to read on. That says a lot because this book is only 116 pages long. You get all the information the author set out for you to get in such a short time.
My favourite part of the book had to be at the end when Cat finds out about her past and she understands about her parents and what happened to her as a baby. This is such a shocker and so unexpected.

This book is a very good read for me. I wasn't sure what to expect with the first one but became hooked pretty quickly, and then I have been waiting around for the next one to come out. I would defiantly recommend this book to people, it is a great read with lots of unexpected shocks to keep you gripped all the way through.

I remember reading Night Fury: First Act and finding it interesting, but I recently realized I had forgotten to read Night Fury:Second Act. The first book ends with Catarina finding something of Marco's that changes everything! That is where this part picks up and well...I couldn't get into the story. Everything just happened so fast and it just didn't work for me.

Right at the beginning you find out Marco's secret that Catarina found. He is then quickly out of the picture and it was just like oh well. Then Catarina moves on to new guy! Yey! It just didn't work. Especially since at first she really didn't like the new guy, but then she gave him a chance and instantly liked him. It just wasn't really developed well and it felt like the author was just switching out guys just because. Like maybe the next part will have a different guy and Catarina can start liking him instead. It was just like it didn't really matter who the characters were as they are interchangeable. Also there wasn't a lot more story besides new guy and his brother coming into Catarina and everyones life. Of course it ends with a shocker and you will have to wait for the next part to see what happens. I don't know if I will read it as this one just wasn't that good.

Night Fury: Second Act
By: Belle Aurora
5/5 stars

The second part of the three part serial is a book of revelations.

At the end of the first book, Cat found Marco’s wallet and learned some vital information, and it was also information that made her feel used and develop a sense of anger and hatred towards Marco. We learn what that is.

The “nuns” and “priest” still take part in missions; ridding the world of evil criminals, who are able to skate by the law, get off on technicalities or who haven’t been reported to the authorities because of lack of evidence.

Things are still weird with Clark after bringing his girlfriend Michelle to dinner at the church for his birthday, kissing Cat and having her feel nothing when they kissed.

We see more of the boy, Tomas, who is Cat’s age, and is super intelligent, but definitely has social disorders and other disorders, as he doesn’t really speak. Cat has always wondered about him, worried about him and has tried to help him. That doesn’t stop.

Cat also “hacks” into the records at Mirage to learn more about herself.

I can’t really go into detail about this book, since it is so short; it is too hard not giving any spoilers or giving away the plot.

ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER!!!

haha.

Night Fury: First & Second Act were both quick reads. Catarina is badass, but what I find disturbing is that I don't know who to ship her with?!? What the hell. At first, it was Marco, then Clark, Marco again, XAVIER. I was team Marco all the way and then he left. I was sad. When she encounters him again, she kisses him but feels like she missing something. She thought about Xavier (!!!). I want them together so baaad. But if there's another hot guy in book 3, she'll surely go after him.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I used to think "Damn, why do I keep reading series, one book right after another? Waiting is frustrating." Then I started reading serial novels and I realize These are even more frustrating reads.
Sure, I'm not gonna wait for a year but since it's a serial novel, I'm sure as hell it's a cliffhanger. I'd ask myself Why don't I ever learn? but it's part of the thrill right? The waiting and anticipation and frustration. And the story, of course. Never forget about the hold the story has on you.

Should I fave or not? I really love it actually but I just don't understand Cat's love story. It's freaking unstable as shit. Huh. I don't even know now who I want her to end up with. The thing is, this is a new territory to me and usually new things send me indifferent or fooking amazed. This one is on the latter, a good new. I just feel holes all over. There was a few focus on the part where they kill criminals and it would've been more fun if there was more. A lot is missing, holea everywhere!

I really enjoyed Act Two. In fact, I think I liked it more than I liked Act One. It was great to see a lot of Tomas in this book. His character was very intriguing in the first book. I also enjoyed meeting the new character, Xavier. At first I hated him, but now I really like him. Gah, Belle Aurora is the queen of cliffhangers. I need to know what Cat does with the info that she finds out. I also want to know what happens to Frankie.

So she can get on your nerves, yes. But you can't blame her. She doesn't have any experience in anything but fighting.

I love this story because it just keep trowing new stuff, new characters and new romances for Cat. Now I wonder who she will end up with.

This cliffhangers are the ones I like. Can't wait for the third and final act.

More secrets and lies. Aurora has caught my attention with this last book. Can't wait until the last act.

It just keeps getting better with each act. Aurora has kept my interest... which can be hard at times. The characters are flawed but very human. The last act should be a good one.
