Roses are Dead

Lily Bloom Mystery #3

by Lyndsey Cole

Business is popping for Lily as wedding season is in full swing. The brides are all over the place from easy-to-please to last-minute-panics. But one in particular stands out-a leggy brunette who is looking for plenty of red roses for her wedding to Police Chief Ryan Steele. Lily is beside herself with betrayal that Ryan would lead her on like that, all the while engaged to this beauty. It's almost too much to take until the bride is found dead, surrounded by none other than the very roses she'd been admiring. Lily shoots to the top of the suspect list, a place she's been all too often lately. And as she starts to uncover more about the woman's past, she's thrown into another game of cat and mouse. Only she's not sure if she's the cat or the mouse. Will she be able to follow the clues to the real killer in time? Or is everyone connected to Ryan Steele in danger and Lily could be next?

A good book. This series has been very entertaining, so far. I like the characters, which makes a big difference in whether or not I keep reading a series.

Liked the story. It is a cute series. The lead character is Lily Bloom, owner of a flower shop. A bride comes in wanting flowers for her wedding and ends up dead. Lily of course gets involved.

Funny likable characters that all have flower names was kind of cute. What bothered me were the punctuation issues, etc,. but overlooking that it was a pretty good cozy and I have started on the next one. Actually this is number three in the series. It was cheaper than the other 2 so I started off with it since it is stated that these books can be read in any order. I went and bought the other two earlier and I am reading number one now. Would recommend to anybody looking for a quick, fun read!

Lily is curious when a women she has never seen before comes into the store. She is looking for flowers for her wedding but she seems very unsure of the details. When Ryan stops in for a chat and the women claims that Ryan is the intended groom, Lily is furious at best. Lily won't even give Ryan a chance to explain. When the women winds up dead, Lily becomes a suspect in her murder. The family get together to help Lily figure out who really committed the crime before she is carted off to jail.

Fun series.

Life is good for the Bloom women.

Rosie, the wonder dog, comes to the rescue again and again. Iris can't stay out of trouble and romance is in the air. A new service dog in training adds to the fun.

Kindle Unlimited, lot of stuff going on in these stories, although most never makes sense and some just hurts, as in cardboard characters and situations.
