So after the bathroom bombshell in the first book we find Brooklyn and Logan dealing with the fallout from Brooklyn’s neuroses. To be perfectly honest I was ready to completely write off Brooklyn at the beginning of this book my annoyance level of uber high. But I realized that what happened at the end of book 1 was directly attributed to the fact that Brooklyn jumped into a relationship right after her previously doomed relationship ended. This didn’t give her much time to process and deal with her issues. So we’re left with a HUGE mess and a lot of distance between Logan and Brooklyn which the author spends most of the book resolving between the two them. It’s hard for these two to reconcile because they’re both a little juvenile emotionally especially when it comes to relationships. Trust is a huge factor in what’s wrong with Brooklyn and Logan, eventually Logan manages to break down the walls between them. I thought this book resolved most of the issues from the first book and there were some pretty emotionally intense issues in this book that I didn’t see coming. I thought these road bumps livened up the plot. The author provided an excellent conclusion to the story of Brooklyn and Logan.

I enjoyed reading Unsettled, and I was looking forward in reading Surrounded, the second book in the series. I was looking forward for Logan’s POV – thank goodness for the dual POV in this book, I was so relieved. I have been wanting to get inside Logan’s brains for ages. He has so many secrets, so many issues and a past that was still blurry in the first book.

It started right about where the first book ended, Brooklyn and Logan are about to live their happily-ever-after. After her devastating heartache, she never expected Logan. He was a pleasant surprise. What they have happened fast, but they were happy. Until, everything fell apart. When I say everything, I really meant everything. Her heart was broken, she lost her job. She decided she had nothing more in Washington and opted to just go home for a while.

If she had only allowed him to explain – it would have saved us all the trouble. But no, she ran away. She left him without telling him what was wrong. And he was left dumbfounded. He tried to give her space, but when everything seems to be running out of hand, and he couldn’t find her anymore, he decided to make his move and followed her.

Logan may have everything in the world, but he only wanted one girl. That is Brooklyn. She was his unexpected, and now she’s gone and had walked away from him. I like that he acted fast, he tried to give space (as healthy as possible), but when it didn’t end well, he rushed to her, and won her back. Not only that, he had won the trust of her family and friends.

Trust has been the issue between the two of them. Thankfully, they worked it out. Conversation and Communication is one of the best foundations of a relationship, so as trust and honesty. It was a small mistake, a misunderstanding that had almost cost them something valuable.

Alex was still a charmer, and she brought nothing but smiles in this novel. She’s really a loyal friend, and you can’t find someone who loves Brooke except for Logan maybe. She would do everything for her friend, and I’m so glad she too is going to get her HEA.

I liked S.C. Ellington after I read Unsettled, and now with Surrounded, I liked her even more. I love the secrets, and the twists. It’s sexy. It’s romantic. It’s sweet. It can be frustrating at times, but S.C. Ellington will make sure you will have everything you need before you close her book.

“It means everything to me, Logan. Thank you for not giving up on me.” ~Brooklyn
*
“When you feel like running, don’t be afraid to grab my hand because I’ll run with you.” ~Logan

I really, truly enjoyed the way Brooklyn and Logan's love story evolved. These two young professionals had experienced individual tragedies that no one would recover from easily. Their chance meeting put them on a path together toward romantic happiness and incidentally better career fulfillment. The bumps along the way were very realistic and not overly drawn out. Surrounded picked up right after the cliffhanger moment it ended on in book 1, Unsettled.

Minor spoilers alert!!!

Writing style: Dual POVs

Cover: I like it. The significance of the cover model being casually dressed as opposed to dressed in a business suit is mentioned in the story. So I like that there is a tie-in just as there was with book one’s cover (the female cover model version).

Favorite elements:

The chapter titles and graphics were well chosen and designed yet again.

Alex was truly the BEST best friend any girl could ever want. She really had Brooklyn’s back and her best interest at heart even when Brooklyn didn’t.

Brooklyn’s big sister, Danielle’s ‘17-point insight into Brooklyn list’ was so much excellence, completely high-five worthy!

I loved the role that Starburst played – as the nickname that Logan gave to Brooklyn and as a gift to win her over at their reunion.

The scene with Brooklyn’s dad teasing Logan was so funny and too good!

The flirty discussion of the virtues of the moniker ‘little L’ versus ‘big L’ during Logan and Brooklyn’s post-birthday scene was super cute and sexy.

The emotionally cleansing scene between Logan and his father was a fantastic male bonding moment.

And I freaking loved the Mezick pond scene 2.0! The romance in that moment was highly on point.

I’m a sucker for an epilogue, and I loved how Jay surprised Alex, Brooklyn’s best friend.

A top favorite scene:

“I need to know for sure that you want this. That you want me. I need to know that you trust me enough with your heart that you won’t second guess me…us.” She watched me, unmoving. “I need to know that before we go further, because I’m in love with you.” I laced my fingers through her hair. “There can’t be any second guessing or regret. I have too much of that in my life as it is.”

She leaned in bringing her face closer to mine. “I want this Logan. I missed you. I missed us. I want us.” The way she looked at me pierced my heart. ♥

Weakest element:
Again, the editing needed more polishing. The same type of typos and errors from Unsettled, the author's debut novel, were prevalent in this wonderfully well told sequel. I sincerely hope that she chooses a new proofreader who can do a more thorough job in the future.

She certainly knows how to deliver a great story. I look forward to reading her future novels if a synopsis of hers piques my interest.

Actual Rating: 4 1/2 Fantastic Stars!
This books picks up right where things left of in Unsettled, and I for one was dying to know what would happen. The pacing makes it easy to hook right into this book. The pacing of this book worked really well with the events that happen in Surrounded. This book is definitely a passionate one, and I could feel the passion between Logan and Brooklyn throughout the entire book. Even when things weren’t so peachy between them, I could feel that tangible passion between them. They have a true chemistry which was so easy to feel.

Both of these characters push the other one to move on from what they both have in their past, and to see the good in what they have together. That pushing makes them both better, and just shows how far they were both willing to go for one another. That pushing showed a lot about these characters.

I loved Logan’s character, and especially since this book showed his perspective. The tenacity that Logan has to prove his feelings to Brooklyn just made me adore his character even more. He doesn’t give up, and that’s kind of important. He’s also sweet as hell, so that helps. Brooklyn goes through a lot of changes on her Journey through the events in Unsettled and Surrounded. She overcomes so much, and finds some true strength within her. She’s a strong female lead, and even when she was at her weakest, she had one hell of a backbone. One of my favorite things about this book was reading how Brooklyn discovers who she truly wants to be. Her “finding herself” was so authentically written, and I adored getting to read how she was finally able to find what she wanted in all aspects of her life.

I also adored the secondary characters in this book, and the other relationships that were highlighted in Surrounded. Brooklyn’s friendship with Alex was wonderful to read and it stood out in such a perfect way. Reading Logan’s complicate relationship with his family was also very intriguing, and added another great layer to this book.

The title of this book is Surrounded, and boy does that fit. The theme of being surrounded and being open to the feelings around you is beautifully weaved through this book. Logan and Brooklyn are surrounded by their feelings for one another, and that comes across in such a magnificent way.

Overall, this was just a truly fantastic book. It ties up all of the things that began in Unsettled, and I loved getting to experience another book with Brooklyn and Logan.

Favorite Quotes:

“You make all my minutes and seconds amount to everything.”

“I don’t need a list of ways to survive you anymore, because the only thing I want to do is be surrounded by you.”

My Review:

I had not read this author’s work before so backtracked and read Unsettled as well as Surrounded to complete this review. Oh happy day, as I scored twice as hard! I am stunned to see these are Ms. Ellington’s first novels as they are both excellent reads, well written, and expertly crafted. I found the story to be moving as well as humorous, and to be far more than just entertaining. The characters were well developed and people I would want to know - well - most of them anyway. The first book was exceptional but the second was even better. The love story was touching, the family issues were relevant, the love scenes were sizzling, and the ending a perfect HEA – I am such a happy camper.

Brooklyn and Logan- BRAB Online Book Club

The saga continues with Brooklyn Caldwell and Logan Colton. After a major misunderstanding tore this couple apart, Logan was more determined to get his girl back. With the help of her friend Alex and her sister Danielle he got Brooklyn to hear his side of the story.

These two wounded souls found a way to be each other's anchor and found themselves more in love than before. Just when everything was going great, they had a major setback. In the end, true love prevailed and they found a way to solidify their love. It was a pleasant read.

Brooklyn and Logan are back in the sequel to Unsettled. Brooklyn has retreated to California to try to figure out what her next step is and she has left Logan wondering exactly what happened. Can Brooklyn and Logan both move on without each other or can they find a way to face the past and create a future? I like the fact that in this novel you see both sides of things, Brooklyn has chapters and so does Logan. Brooklyn is doing her best to be her spunky self, but her defense level is Code Red and she is very wary of everything and everyone that crosses her path. Can Logan find the truth and a way past her defenses?

Very Good

Liked the way this book finish the the start of Logan and Brooklyn's story. It allowed them to continue the process of seeing that they both were broken in some ways but also connected in others.
Once you open your heart, love and other joy's can be limitless. Love the sister & friend relationship between Brooklyn, Danielle and Alex. Girls Rock!!🙂

I reviewed this at MustReadBooksOrDie with my friend Shelley!

Shel: Surrounded is the second book in this series and I was really happy with the way it started. We immediately hear from Logan and he spends the first few chapters reminding us of the events that led up to the cliffhanger at the end of book 1, Unsettled. It was nice to hear what his thoughts were and how he felt about Brooklyn because in book one, we were only privy to her thoughts. Court: I agree. Things ended very abruptly, and it was good to see what he was doing and thinking and how some things that would come to pass, well...happened. (Trying not to be spoilery...so that sounds eloquent as hell, yes?)

Shel: Within chapters, we reach the point where book 1 ended and suddenly you want to just smack Brooklyn for her hasty reactions. The who, why, how's of the Logan + pregnant other girl become very clear, very quickly. From this point until almost the end, we follow her retreat and his actions to try to figure out what the hell is happening. Court: She made me mad. Truly. After everything that happened in Unsettled...I just got so angry with her, and everything that happens afterward. I'm not sure, but I think this caused some of my feelings for the book and how I felt about it overall...so I think that will be a very subjective reaction for every person who reads this novel.

Shel: There is drama. And sexiness. And then more drama. I guess sometimes I felt like it was a little immature..the way that Brooklyn handled things bugged me a little. For someone who found trust to be integral in a relationship, she sure had little faith in Logan. Luckily, Logan was willing to try to make things work out and forced communication (you know, like grown ups do). Court: Hahaha. How many of our characters that we love ever really act their age when it comes to drama and angst, or more so in this case, the melodrama. I think sometimes when I think of these high powered CEO's and these girls, they are older. Or maybe, because I act more mature than these chicks that are my age. Or maybe I'm the jerk. I don't know! It makes it hard though sometimes, to believe a character, when one teensy little moment of clarity would clear up so much. Gah, so conflicted.

Shel: This second books is a super quick read. There are spots where I felt it had nice dialogue and pacing and sometimes it felt a little too rushed or flat. Overall, though, it was nice to see how their story ended. Court: Ditto. I am afraid to say that my expectations might have clouded how I ended up feeling about the book...and I try my best to not do that! I liked the book, but something was just missing for me personally to just flat out love it.

Shelley: 3 stars
Courtney: 3 stars

We first meet Logan when he was when he was in a car accident with his grandparents and brother at the age of 10. He watched his grandparents die. His father blames Logan for the accident and he has felt the guilt from the car accident. Logan know is 27 and he wants a girl who wants him for him and not for the money he has or the things he can buy her. Logan found that in Brooklyn. Brooklyn had a lot of bad things happen to her, Damon showed up at the house that Alex, Jay and she shared. Logan was there and held her through the night. Logan had to leave but he went to go buy flowers for her. He found out that he was going to have to go to Seattle on a business trip and he wasn't to thrilled about it because that means he would have to leave Brooklyn behind. He sent her an email asking her if she would stay in the penthouse so he didn't have to worry about another run in with Damon. This is the second book in the Unsettled series and you don't have to read the first book to understand what happens in this book.
Logan has one tattoo, he is the CEO of Colton, he doesn't let a lot of people in. He doesn't have a good relationship with his father. He donates money to this charity Living Life after Prosthesis. Brooklyn is Logan's girlfriend, she loves to take pictures and she works at a job that she doesn't like. Alex is a lawyer, Brooklyn's friend and roommate. Jay is Alex's boyfriend and Brooklyn's roommate. Trevor is Logan's only friend. Melanie Trevor's girlfriend. Scott works at Colton, lost his leg but that doesn't stop him. Seth Crandon is the CEO of Crandon Inc. Danielle is Brooklyn's sister, married and has a little boy. I liked all the characters but I really connected with Brooklyn.
I truly loved this book and it was way hard to put down. I liked that I felt as if I was able to feel all the emotion in the book, I liked the story line as well. I loved this authors style of writing, I have never read any books by this author before but I can't wait to read more books by her. This is one story that I have to say I wish I could give more then five stars to. S.C. Ellington you are an amazing author.

YAY BOOK 2!!! Another 4 1/2 Stars!!

In book 2 of the Unsettled series the stakes are raised and the emotions are on high. After a dramatic turn of events in book 1 we are left with Logan and his pursuit of Brooklyn in hopes to save the love they have come to build. In book 2 we get the added bonus of Logan’s POV which I thought was a nice touch. I wanted inside Logan’s head and book 2 laid out the red carpet into that brain of his.

We are thoroughly introduced to some more characters including Logan’s best friend Trevor and his family. We gain more insight into the family dynamics of the Coltons and in this book Logan is the one truly facing his demons. We see a stronger side to Brooklyn as well as her loyalty and love for Logan. She finally takes the big leap into their relationship and commits to making it work. BUT of course we still need some more drama and we get it. The emotions in Surrounded are intense; there is a high level of guilt, love and resentment. Logan’s demons are unyielding and Brooklyn’s efforts to breakthrough are sometimes met with a concrete wall. You will feel every ounce of emotion in this book. There is a scene towards the end with Logan and his father, I don’t want to spoil it but I nearly came apart. It is both sad and beautiful and if don't have tissues handy you better go get some. The scene is both raw and powerful and executed perfectly.

I enjoyed this series. I liked how Unsettled focused more on Brooklyn while Surrounded focused more on Logan yet each part enhanced the relationship between the two characters. The writing is filled with a variety of tender moments, spicy passionate moments, humor and some quick-witted comebacks and references that will have you suffering from the giggles. An entertaining and heartfelt good read.

The road to happiness is paved with twists and turns, hills and valleys, smooth pavement and rocky roads. Never is more true than for Brooklyn and Logan as their journey continues in Surrounded. When we last left the assistant and the executive, Brooklyn had just found out that Logan's "friend", Elizabeth, was pregnant and the rumor was that Logan was the daddy. As Brooklyn tries to wrap her head around this new bit of information and figure out her next step, she accepts a call from her very persistent, first love Damon.

In Surrounded, Brooklyn and Logan navigate the choppy waters of love. Between issues arising at work due to the non-fraternization policy, the presences of the exes, Logan's guilt over the car accident that claimed the lives of his beloved grandparents and his brother's mobility and of course trust and communication issues, Brooklyn and Logan have their work cut out for them.

I felt the books should have been drafted into one book. While I don't think any of the plot points were extraneous, I believe it would have been more solid as a single book. I didn't see the need in the overlap between the books In addition, I didn't feel any real connection to the characters or the storyline. Logan and Brooklyn were nice enough characters, their love true, feelings real and believable. But there was nothing that grabbed at my gut and made me say OMG (come on, we've all had those book moments). However, I adored the supporting characters (do ya notice a theme with my reviews??? LOL). Brooklyn's roommates, Alex and Jay and her sister Danielle were both hilarious and sweet.

Surrounded gets 3.5 stars from me!

I loved these books! Since I got to read and review both I am going to combine my review.

In Unsettled we meet Brooklyn, who has moved across country to help heal a broken heart after having it shattered by her ex Damon, 3 years later she is still single and heartbroken and wont let anyone in - this irked me a little as I couldn't believe she still moped about it after so long... Brooklyn was, despite being sassy, funny and relateable still very insecure throughout the book - to the point sometimes I wanted to shake here and say get over it!
Then there is Logan an young multimillionaire CEO. He is persistent to get Brooklyn to go on a date with him and when he sends his driver to pick her up after work one night she has a choice - go meet him or go home.

I am glad she chose to go and meet him (as without doing so there would be no story doh lol) and the relationship that blossoms between then via calls and emails is sweet.

Whilst developing a relationship with Logan her ex Damon comes back into the picture and she has to finally put him to bed - not in that way once and for all.

Then book one hits your a cliffhanger!!

When you start Surrounded you are starting from Logan's point of view with regards to how Unsettled ended. This book is more about Logan and his past and his own demons to fight. Logan will do anything to win back Brooklyn, but she is stubborn. I just want to bang her head and say don't be silly!! :)

Both books were great, I loved the characters and I love the story. If you love a good wee romance story then you need to read these for sure.

5 stars for the series.

I was so glad to have this to dive right into after Unsettled because it would have eaten me up to not know immediately what would happen with both Brooklyn and Logan!

One of the main things I liked about this book is that we get an inside look at Logan as this is written in dual perspectives. We get to know him more and a lot more about his demons and past too.

Logan will do anything to get Brooklyn back. He has fallen hard and has to work through his own past to get to where he needs to be for Brooklyn.

Brooklyn however is a harder nut to crack and I get that she has had a difficult time with one break up but to be honest her reluctance to trust Logan again and open up to him was a tad difficult for me!

Although this book does continue Brooklyn’s story it is very much focused on Logan and his past. There is one particularly emotional scene with his father and I will admit to shedding a couple of tears. We get to know a lot more about the Colton family dynamics and also get to meet Logan’s best friend Trevor too.

This story really develops and all the threads finally come together. But will Logan truly get over his issues and can Brooklyn trust again? You HAVE to read to find out!!!!

I think this was a great sequel though and the fact you really get to see a lot of the important scenes from the last book from Logan’s perspective really made this a worthy read. Plus add to that more Logan and his amazing and sweet character too and it makes for a fab sequel!

Another fab four stars from me!

Can they have a future if they’re Surrounded by their pasts?

At the end of Unsettled we were left not knowing the truth, Brooklyn was yet again broken, crushed by lies and deceit, how was she ever going to move on with her life.

At the start of Surrounded we get inside Logan’s head, a glimpse into his tragic past and how he surrounds himself in the guilt of his memories.

So two broken souls, carrying guilt, betrayal and mistrust around with them, a recipe for disaster you would think. But as the story unfolds, SC Ellington works her magic and brings Logan and Brooklyn hope for the future. Can Logan make Brooklyn trust him again?

“I love you, Logan. I knew it the moment I walked away” Brooklyn

Ms Ellington has a talent for weaving humour through her stories, and Surrounded is no different, I love the banter between Logan and Brooklyn, their friends and family.

The path to true love is not smooth, but this story takes us on Brooklyn and Logan’s journey, the ups and the downs and if you loved book 1 then book 2 will be perfect, it will give you everything you want for them and more.

“Brooklyn, look at me” “I’m not going anywhere. Unfortunately for you, even if you wanted to get rid of me, which as we both know, you’ve tried” “I’m still here” Logan

“When you feel like running, don’t be afraid to grab my hand because I’ll run with you” Logan

Thank you to SC Ellington for Unsettling us with book 1 and Surrounding us with the perfect story in book 2. I’m a sucker for a love story and this one is just that.

When we left off in the first book, Unsettled, Brooklyn had a big decision to make and it seemed like things were starting over from her previous relationship. Was it going to get better or worse and could she handle being trampled over yet again?

Logan was trapped in a world that consisted of torment and sadness. Although he tried to make life better for everyone else, he never tried to make it better for himself until Brooklyn, She was his center and his home. She grounded him and made him feel in ways he never imagined was possible.

When I left the first book, I was a little twisted because I knew maybe just maybe what I assumed would happen but then I was wrong. It turned out into the whirlwind of finding something in another person's life that you yearned for. I saw this little boy in Logan and all of the dreams that he wanted never happened because of things that happened in the past. I felt so bad for him. My heart broke for what could have been had things gone a little different. Would he have ended up with Brooklyn, probably but would the circumstance been better?

I loved the fight that both Brooklyn and Logan had to put up for each other. Both of them wanted the other to fight the past and get through it and once they knew it was them against the world, they were unstoppable.

I received a copy from Author Groupies in exchange for an honest review .

Surrounded starts off where Unsettled ended but first things first ...I love the cover art!

What I like about Surrounded is that you get to see more of Logan's POV .I like seeing the other side to a story , sometimes it changes my perceptions and sometimes it just confirms what I've been thinking all along .

Logan never gives up on Brooklyn and I appreciate that about him , I must be honest there were times I'd have thrown in the towel if I were Logan .

Brooklyn may carry hurt around but she's a tough cookie and has an extremely strong character , sometimes she can be really stubborn but she's grown immensely from when we first met her .

In Surrounded we also discover more about Logan and the strained relationship with his family .

Brooklyn comes into herself in Surrounded and I loved it ! Alex , bless her soul ,is such a good person and an awesome friend , I love how she's supportive of Brooklyn yet she's honest with her and if she's wrong she let's her know . Alex and Danielle are to thank for getting Brooklyn to hear Logan out and it turns out that  there was a misunderstanding  , one that could have destroyed them forever !

Surrounded proves that love will always prevail , no matter what life throws at you!

A beautiful end to a beautiful story !

A 5 bomb read

Erin's Review

Surrounded picks up right where Unsettled leaves off o if you haven't read Unsettled, go one click right now and start reading. You have to read that first.
In this book we get a bit more from Logan, and believe me, I wasn't complaining! He will do anything to win back the woman he fell in love with. Brooklyn, on the other hand, is still suffering from her past. Did she read in to this latest thing wrong? Was it a mistake? She isn't quite sure she's ready to trust again after what happened before. Who could blame her really? Then again, the girl is her own worst enemy.
This is one of those stories that you don't know if you want to kiss the main characters, or bang their heads together because you just know they belong together. It's a very real look at what happens inside a girl's mind when she spins herself in to the vortex called "girl logic" but it isn't like Brooklyn doesn't have her reasons. Logan is sweet, sexy, frustrating and loyal. He and Brooklyn appear opposites but I think are more alike than the two can admit to.
If you believe in second chances and sweet guys who will do anything to earn that second chance, grab the first book, then dive right in to this one. You won't be disappointed!

I had the pleasure of reading both Book One (Unsettled) and Book Two (Surrounded) from SC Ellington's Unsettled Series in the past couple weeks and I was blown away. I cannot wait for book #3 because both books left me wanting for more. I love how independent Brooklyn is in these books which is not always typical for a romance novel. She is feisty and full of spirit. She has baggage from her past relationships that cause her to be her own worst enemy. Same being said for Logan....he carries baggage from his past due to a family tragedy. They both find something in each other that they didn't have with their past relationships. I have to say I love how they first meet (no spoilers here) - but it made me laugh out loud (my husband thought I lost it). The end of Unsettled made me tear straight away into Surrounded. Surrounded didn't end on a cliffhanger so I am curious to see how SC Ellington moves forward with the next book. I can tell you this - I am signed up on her Facebook page and email newsletter anxiously waiting for any news, teasers, release dates etc for book three! I would highly recommend these books to read - 5 out of 5 stars and two enthusiastic thumbs up!

I love reading Surrounded. Surrounded in book two in the Unsettled series. It's not a standalone and you must read Book one Unsettled first. Unsettled left us with a big cliffhanger. I remembered the cliffhanger but couldn't remember the name of the book. So, I'm so glad I picked this one up to read because I was dieing to know what would happen with Logan and Brooklyn. In the beginning we get a little recap of the end of Unsettled but this time it's through Logan's POV. It's told in the dual POV of Logan and Brooklyn. I love books told in dual POVs.
In Unsettled, Brooklyn overheard some things being said int he bathroom. She reacts by running from Logan. Things get worse for her on the job front and she finds herself going home. We get to meet Brooklyn's family. I absolutely loved her parents and sister. We also get more of Jay and Alex.
Logan's not ready to give up on Brooklyn. They both have a lot of things to work through in this book. Like most relationships, there's is not prefect without putting some work into it.
There's no cliffhanger. It's a great end for Logan and Brooklyn's story.

I rated Surrounded with Four and one half leaves!!

Surrounded is a sequel to Unsettled by S.C. Ellington. Surrounded picked up right where Unsettled left off and I was extremely happy about that! In Surrounded, Ellington give us the story from both Logan and Brooklyn's POV. This was wonderful because we really got to see inside of Logan's head and learn more about his rough past whereas in Unsettled, we only have Brooklyn's POV to go off of.

This book really shows how much both characters have grown in the short time that they have known each other. It is a story about really fighting for a love you think you deserve instead if settling for something that is easy.

Logan proves in the second book that he really is 'surrounding' Brooklyn and wants to be there every step of the way.

Surrounded isn't always rainbows and butterflies but the read it totally worth it. I think you will love it just as much as Unsettled! One-click this one for sure.

5 Beautiful Starfish

This story picks up where Unsettled(book 1) leaves off. Well it actually goes back and gives you some of the ending to unsettled in Logan's point of view.
Brooklyn is her own worst enemy. Her heart has been broken many times and she jumps to the worst conclusions too quick for her own good. She must learn to trust logan or completely walk away.
Logan loves B with all his heart but he has his own issues to deal with. He has to trust B with his pain and guilt. Can he? Can he prove to B that he is trustworthly?
Surrounded will have you smilling and crying and smilling some more. It is a perfect love story of two people who get in their own way and have to realize love is not perfect. it is all about the other persons faults and imperfections and learning to deal with it.

I must say that after I read the first book, and how it ended I wasn't sure how she was going to fix it all. I mean, huge cliffhanger! But I was pleasantly surprised that she did 'fix' it all! This story is the epitome of redemption and giving love a second chance. I love Brooklyn, but I just wanted to slap her face! She was so stubborn, but it made for good reading! And you must Love Logan, he is the guy that you want to end up with. He knew he wanted Brooklyn and nothing was going to stand in his way to keep him from her. I love how the story ended and how we got to meet Logan's and Brooklyn's families.

This is a great conclusion to the story. And it gets a big A+ or 5 Herman-ly beautiful stars!

Thanks to the author, I was allowed to read an ARC of this book for an honest review. This book is a continuation of the story that started in Unsettled. Neither Brooklyn nor Logan were looking for a serious relationship much less to fall in love. That is, however, what they found in each other. Both had personal issues of their own that they had to work through and Brooklyn's issues of lack of trust almost ended the couple for good. Fortunately Logan wasn't willing to give up and was willing to go to whatever extremes that it took to get her back.
This is a good series that I enjoyed. Brooklyn's lack of trust to the point of not being willing to talk about things with Logan wore on me a little bit. Outside of that point, the book was really good. Four stars!

I have just finished both books ok in this series and thoroughly enjoyed them both. Surrounded was probably my favourite as we got to get to know the sexy CEO Logan, who has now become my new book boyfriend! Who wouldn't want their boyfriend to buy them orange roses for one of their first dates? Brooklyn is a female leading lady who has been cheated on in the past and this influences her reactions to events in the story. This makes her real and she is certainly not a pushover. I love the relationship between Brooklyn and her best friend Alex they just bounce off each other and remind me of me and my girls! Logan and Brooklyn have to overcome more than their fair share of twists and turns but do they end up happy, well get reading and find out!

I could not wait to read what was going to happen next. Brooklyn did not want to see someone else go through what she did with her ex. She attempted to run away from the problem but lucky for her Logan did not allow that.

Logan is such a great guy in this book, and loves this girl with all he has. He has such a traumatic background that you feel so bad for him that he has not ever gotten over his grandparents death and feels like everyone blames him. I loved how this book shows more of his POV and it is just a joy to read about Logan.

There are a few twists and turns and OMG moments in this book that have you quickly turning the pages to find out what will happen next. Thank you for such an awesome book.

First and foremost, I’m kicking myself and wondering why I haven’t read the Unsettled Series much sooner. Surrounded was such a beautiful, believable and emotional story and I couldn’t help but fall in-love with Logan and Brooklyn.

Though both characters were dealing with a lot of emotional baggage, I LOVED the chemistry and passion between them and their perseverance to overcome obstacles to be together. I truly admired Brooklyn for being a strong heroine – she was feisty and didn’t back down easily. And of course, there’s Logan who was so damn sweet and sexy!

Surrounded was captivating and Logan and Brooklyn’s story kept me engaged. I’m a sucker for romance and SC Ellington wrote one hell of a beautiful love story! I highly recommend this series!

So this book picks up right where Unsettled left us. And here I am, on the edge of my chair wondering what the heck is going on. Will she find out the truth? Will he? Will whats her nuts be honest? What's going on? Can he help her heal and can she help him? So many unanswered questions! Now, again, you know we don't do spoilers here, so I will say this... I loved how SC let the story unfold. I loved the growth we see in Logan through this series. I love the healing we see in Brooklyn. I'm still sitting over here wishing more karma came around to Damon, but... I'm still happy with how things worked out.

SC Ellington did a great job with this sequel. She didn't leave us hanging with any unanswered questions and ultimately you will be happy with how the series ends.
