I did like this book, and would read more from the author. I may well get book 1 at some point, although, I hope book 3 would be about Andreo, since I would definitely love to read his book.

So, again, as I say, I did like this book, but there were a few things that stopped me really liking it or loving it.

Abigail had moved to Spain with her abusive boyfriend and had finally had enough, and rings her new friend to help her. This friend turns up with her Boyfriend and his brother, Raff.

Now, maybe I needed a bit more, from why exactly she stayed with her BF, other than her going "Oh I am shy, and he emotionally abused me too", because, other than her telling people she is shy, or her thinking she is shy, or smiling shyly or bashfully at times - she never really came across as all that shy, and given she has just been saved from her ex, and is covered in bruises, she seemed more concerned with cheeking Raff out than much else.

It is not unusual for me to end up liking the heroine less than the hero, and it turned out to be the case here (then I felt guilty because of it since she is an abused heroine!). I just struggled to connect with Abigail at times tbh, her constant alluding to her shyness which never seemed all that evident, her judging of Raff and his character/actions from before he was even aware she existed in the world, her blowing hot and cold with Raff etc.

Raff I did like. He was great, who does not like a hero who saves the girl and falls hard and fast.

There were a few small errors that could be picked up by an editor, or things I would have liked addressed.

For example, at one point, Raff "asks softly in broken English - although his English is perfect"......

Or the odd occasion the wrong word is used , too instead of two (but not often enough to really stop me enjoying the book)

Or, after they have sex, for the first time, they mention they had not used condoms, and Abi says she should get tested, since she does not know if her BF was faithful - yet nothing is ever mentioned again, and they again do not use condoms. Also, she states she has the coil fitted yet

But, overall, it was an enjoyable read, that made me happy that they got their HEA, not too taxing, not overly dramatic and angsty (which I do not like as it just gives me a headache) and I would more than happily read more from this author. As I said above, Andreo (brother of Raff) is very intriguing as a character and I would definitely read his book.

I was provided a copy for an honest review.

This was my first experience with the Castell brothers as I have not yet read In Too Deep which was the first novel in the series. However Bulletproof is a standalone.
The Castell brothers are a family full of hot alphas in Spain! Yum! This story was based around the love of Rafael and Abigail. They meet in a tragic situation where Abigail has been beaten by her boyfriend Callum. It follows their story from that terrible incident.
I really liked the characters that Izzy Williams has developed in this series. You have the strong female bonds of Elsa, Abigail and Kelly. And of course the brothers Xander, Rafael and Andreo.
This story contained everything I love in a good romance story such as passion, mind blowing sex, and a little bit of jealousy. But what I did find lacking for me were details. I felt some of the story was rushed and just missing that extra information that I crave (i.e. why Abi stayed in an abusive relationship for so long, did she get the STD test she said she should get, did her family know that she had moved on from Callum to Raff).
I plan to read In Too Deep and I also hope that we get to read about Andreo as he is a dangerous character that I'd like to know more about.

*~* I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review *~*

I really liked it!!!

Rafael is good looking, big and very ALPHA. He comes from a not so clean family and is more of a good time kind of guy. The way he meets Abigail is not the way to meet a woman. After meeting her and dealing with feeling for another, he realizes that what he feels for Abi is the real deal.

Abigail is in a horrific situation where Elsa comes to her aid with the help of Xander and Rafael. She finds that her reaction to him is not one she expected. While she is dealing with everything, she finds out disturbing news.

I really like the way that the two of them come together and work through everything. I can't wait for the next one.

This book had great potential. Girl is in abusive relationship. Boy helps girl leave abusive relationship. They fall in love. Happily Ever After...the end.

And on it's basis this book had all of that...but it was so disjointed. The girl is in an abusive relationship for two years, beaten so bad she's taken to a hospital but within a few days she is lusting after the hero? I don't know anyone that has come out of a long-term abusive relationship that has ever rebounded that quickly. And apart from a few moments where she feels nervous around men, she's totally fine. No long term issues. Sorry, I just didn't buy that. That kind of abuse takes months, if not years, to get over...if ever at all. That was just wrapped up way to quickly.

And I think it's a topic that should not be glossed over. I realize it's a romance novel...but seriously? Let's at least make this realistic....let's not dummy it down for the masses. I don't know...it just left a bad taste in my mouth.

And the editing?! OMG. Does no one proofread? Even if I had loved the story, the grammatical errors were so bad they were distracting. I wanted to get out a red pen and edit for this author.

All in all it was an okay read with potential. I don't think I will read this author again however.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange of an honest review.

We have Raphael Castell is a spanish hottie with a great heart. He thinks he's in love with his sister-in-law but he is he? Alpha syndrome. Now throw in Abigail, a girl that came to Spain with her asshole boyfriend Callum to be slapped around. She says no more and asks her friend Elsa for help. Elsa's brother-in-law Raphael makes sure to make that stop. He takes her under his wing.

Our hero is an alpha-male that falls for the damsel in distress. Our heroine is the damsel in distress that won't stay in distress. Its a great story and pretty hot. Raphael qualifies as one of my alpha males, but I'm waiting for Andreo.

Romance = 4/5

Would I recommend this book = Yes

Just like the first book in this series I throughly enjoyed this one too. Abi and Raf are a perfect match. Abi is in an abusive relationship and Raf saves her she becomes the center of his world.
The plot is fantastic and the romance that blooms between the two is hot.
I love the action that takes places.

Abigail is in a situation where she follows her ex boyfriend to Spain thinking that they will will the happily ever after but the abuse got worst. But Elsa comes to her aid with the help of Xander and Rafael. One look at Rafael and she did not expected to be attracted to him.

Well I thought we wouldn't get any hotter than Xander Castell, I was wrong Rafael is hmmmm,
Rafael and abis story is so different from Cancer and Elsas, but it draws you in and gives you hope after you think you've lost it all.
It has restored my faith in finding love and that the right man is out there for everyone.
Deffinetly worth 5* and a read xx

This is book two in The Castell Brother's Series and it is Rafael and Abigail's story and it is definitely a must read. When Abi's boyfriend beats her so badly she realised that she can't let it happen again so she calls her friend Elsa and asks for her help but when she arrived she wasn't alone as two men were with her and that was Xander and Raff who are brother and Xander is Elsa boyfriend but it is Raff that takes charge and looks after her and for the first time Abi feels safe knowing that he will not let anyone hurt her. Raff couldn't believe the state that Abi was in at the hands of her ex boyfriend and he is determined to help her heal and care and protect her but Raff was having trouble understanding all the things that he was feeling after only knowing Abi for a short amount of time and he didn't know what to do or make of them. The chemistry between Raff and Abi was so strong and intense but with the danger around them will they get a chance to explore how they feel for each other and get a chance of being together and having a happy ending only time will tell what the outcome would be for them. Omg I absolutely love this book and I couldn't put it down as it was so addictive and a real page turner. This is the first book that I have read by Izzy Williams but definitely not the last as it was so well written and action packed and it kept you on the edge of your seat wondering what would happen next and I definitely recommend you read this book and you will not be disappointed.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Abi finds herself in Spain needing out of an abusive relationship. Help from a friend brings her and Raff together. Though neither is in the right mindset to start something, they both feel the attraction. That develops quickly into lust and finally love. Raff and Abi have plenty of sparks between them. This can be read as a standalone in the series but I think that it benefits from reading the first book in the Castell Brothers series. There seemed to be several things that stood out without being resolved. Because of that, their story seemed a little off to me at times. That is why I did not rate it higher 3.5

Having moved away from her family and friends to Spain with her abusive boyfriend, Callum, when things get to breaking point Abigail phones her new friend Elsa who comes to her rescue along with the Castelle brothers. When Rafael first meets Abigal his protective side reaches max. Well written, action packed  desire filled with steamy scenes and dark subjects discussed

This is my first time reviewing a book for honest feedback so hopefully those who read understand my pov.

First let me say that I didn't read the first book of the series every character was new to me. I enjoyed the storyline right off and was excited about chemistry you knew would come of Raff and Abi. The characters were perfect the plot was perfect but details were not. I found myself asking more questions about previous scenes as the book progressed and sadly most of the questions were left unanswered. I like getting a chance to know the characters esp when there's someone as hott as Raff but my hopes kept getting cut short. In visual terms it's like having a sparkling new Mercedes outside and when you get in its missing a cup holder, radio, and adjustable seats. Things that you don't have to have but have become accustomed to. But all in all I liked the book just wish it had more.
