I had an advantage to knowing of AK Dozanti before the book was published. Her videos have pulled me along during some rough moments and I instantly pre-ordered this book when I could. Once again, she's pulled me out of the corner, and handed me a great mountain of tips/tricks and tools to use to get myself back on track and out of the burnout lane.
Will there still be struggles? Of course, this isn't an easy line of work to be in but, I have this book and things I've highlighted within to keep me going.
Another amazing part is that she included Dispatchers in this. Because, this is something that is OFTEN forgotten. Sure, we might not be out on the scene but we have been along for the ride from the terrified, screaming caller, to the field unit yelling"shots fired" and not knowing who fired on who and who was hurt, etc. Being included did so much for my soul I can't even explain.
This is a MUST read for anyone in the emergency services on any level. I cannot recommend it enough and am going to try to get this into the hands of as many people as I can.
