Two extremely wealthy and powerful men want the same woman and they will stop at nothing to have her.
Derek and Julian are part of the same elite secret society. Both men are multi-billionaires. Both men are drop-dead gorgeous. Both men have expert training in martial arts. Both men are alpha males.
Julian desires Cheryl who is engaged to his friend Derek. He wants her so much that he brutally fights his friend for her, captures her against her will, and keeps her confined. While he keeps her confined, he charms his way into Cheryl's heart.
Julian and Cheryl have married. Cheryl is now head over heels in love with Julian. However, Derek wants her back and will stop at nothing to obtain her. Cheryl's biggest fear is being torn away from Julian as this is precisely what Derek is planning. Her only hope is that Derek will never find them as they travel abroad during their honeymoon.
Strong Reader Advisory: This book is intended for mature audiences. It contains adult situations, sexuality, and violence.
Author's Note: This fast-moving surrealist story is a continuation of the book Rapine which does not have to be read first in order to read this book and understand what is going on.
Fifty Shades of Fu*ked up! That's how I will describe this series. After the first few pages, I just skimmed through the rest. It has a very promising premise, if not for the repeated, minute, unnecessary, and loud descriptions about the luxury lifestyle that Julian/Cheryl/Derek lead. Cheryl appears to be a vacuous character, with no depth or substance. And the last book seems totally unnecessary to the storyline.
Cheryl, the heroine, grates on my nerves! The author needs to give her some depth and character and substance. I've read all four books in this series and I still cannot figure out what her appeal is to these alpha billionaires. I mean beauty is subjective, but, dang, at least give the heroine something the readers can grab onto and like, because other than knowing she is brown haired and brown eyed, we have no idea of what she looks like and readers like to picture the characters. I had to imagine her as a very tall version of Alessandra Ambrosio to help me with this mess of a story. Julian is somewhat tame in this book and Derek only appears at the end. The whole book was one long advertisement for travel. Seriously.
Nothing happens in this story!!! It's just page after page of the couple going on lavish trips around the world. It was so boring. This was the same issue I had about the last book. I just don't have the patience to go through this again. I no longer care what happens in this story.
