John Lyon, a wise-cracking, hot shot New York cop has the most amount of kills out of anyone on the force. But one day, he takes down a monstrous voodoo killer and falls victim to a terrible curse: that all the people Lyon has killed until now will come back for vengeance. Can he convince a sexy psychiatrist that he's not nuts and erase the curse before it's too late?
Working professional screenwriter represented by Resolution and Circle of Confusion. I have sold or optioned six spec screenplays and I have been hired by studios for numerous rewrites. Currently I have two movies in post-production, STUCK and THE CLOSET. Both are due to be released in 2014.
My first novel, a thriller titled FORTY ACRES, is scheduled for release by Simon & Schuster July 1st, 2014.
I remember really being into this as a teenager, I didn't understand why this series wasn't more popular - but I've changed my mind.
The story is run-of-the-mill, the paneling is often confusing and the characters are some of the flattest I've seen. The main character is supposed to be a skeptic, but he carries an old fortune teller lady's rosary with him for 13 years, even though he only met her once - he even told her he doesn't believe in stuff like this. Also, when the dead start coming after him, he believes in them way too soon; and, one chapter after he kills the first zombie, he even goes off on his psychiatrist for not believing in the undead. 180 much?
At least the drawings are kinda pretty, if you're into Amerimanga.
this was a very good comic book i liked it a lot except for that there is another volume so if you do not mind getting stuck at the end because there is volume 2 and previews of other comic books.
i really liked the fact that this comic book was written in japanese style back to front right to left and it was a good comic book i will look forward to reading volume 2.
