Greek Billionaire (Damen & Mairi) Serial #5

The Art of Wedding a Greek Billionaire

Rate this book
Once upon a time, there was an ordinary girl who grew up listening to bedtime stories where there were no knights in shining armor or Prince Charming. Instead, it had Greek billionaires and this little girl dreamt she’d one day have Her Own Greek Billionaire to live happily ever after with.
When this little girl grew up, she realized that not all fairytale weddings came with happy-ever-after endings. Sometimes, those who speak the words “I love you” don’t really mean it, and those who can’t utter the words end up being the ones who truly mean them.
This is my story.
I mean your story.
I mean, Mairi Tanner’s story.

Disappointing end to a pretty lacklustre series.

I didn't understand this book at all, why marry if there's no trust, the whole thing was just a huge mess, misunderstandings were thrown in at every turn to drag this book out and none of it made any sense, for two supposedly intelligent people they both do a good impression of stupid, they haven't learnt anything from the previous books 'they need to communicate'
Damen taking secret phone calls all the time, Drake being Mairi's personal bodyguard even though Damen believes they've had sex, I mean seriously they couldn't have tried harder to wreck the marriage if they'd really tried.
Although I'll never get my time back I'm just glad I didn't actually pay for this series my friend left her kindle in my bag after we'd been out and when I let her know she said I could read whatever I wanted, now I'm asking myself why exactly did I choose this?

“The Art of Wedding a Greek Billionaire” by the amazing Marian Tee is one intense read. I have been waiting for this since I read the first part. I love Mairi and Damen chemistry and the emotional roller coaster that is their love. This is one series, this gives a HEA, that always requires that I have tissues at hand and makes the hubby think that I am weird since I do talk to the characters. I truly enjoyed how the secondary characters are included into the story without taking away from the main story. I am thinking that there might be several books coming in the future about some of the characters.

If you are like me and love to feel the emotional charge of books then this one is the one for you. I love the heat, but most of all I enjoy the roller coaster. Author Marian Tee is a wonderful writer and I will continue to buy her books and recommend her to others.

Well this is a hard review for me to write. I pride myself in being honest in reviews but I love this author and all of her books soooo here it goes.

The beginning of this book does not work. Don’t ask me what it is but it just does not have the same tone as the rest of the series does. The book is spilt into Part 1 and Part 2, it is Part 1 that is the problem and a small part of Part 2. At this point you will do doubt be looking at my star rating and thinking ‘why the 5 stars then?’ The answer is a simple one. The rest of the book more than makes up for its shaky start.

From events that have transpired in pervious instalments we knew that Mairi and Damen’s path to their HEA was not going to be an easy one, and, running true to form, it isn’t. We have his mother still doing her best to retain the power she now has over the company but worse than this we have Mairi’s doubt of Damen’s love for her, and with good reason, however this time her trust would not have been unfounded.

However is what Damen doing to prove his love going to be the thing that finally rips them apart? NO! I can officially put anyone who has the worry that it will be another cliffhanger ending that this is NOT the case and they end up with their HEA with Mairi having caught her billionaire. Yes there are things to be resolved but we will find out the results of those I book 6 (book 6 I hear you asking) which will be FREE!!

I am looking forward to the final instalment and the stories of those billionaires and friends that have yet to get their HEA. After a long wait I think most of you will be very happy. Yes there will be those unhappy, you can’t please everyone, but I for one am ecstatic with their HEA.

Please note that I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The conclusion of the Greek Billionaire of Marian Tee is finally here. Although the author gave me an arc I just so had to buy it.

Since this was the conclusion for Mairi and Damen's story we all know that they are finally getting their HEA. Despite this, both Mairi and Damen have a long way to go before they reach their happy ending. It was an emotional ride still especially on Mairi's point of view. Although Damen has been proving himself of his feelings regarding Mairi, Mairi is still in doubt of Damen's feelings for her till near the end until Damen finally did something that showed Mairi about Damen's true feelings for her. Although I wished to knock some sense into Mairi since she has been in denial about Damen's feelings for her but I can't blame because of what she kept on experiencing in the past. Sadly, it takes a while for her to believe in him but at the same time it was all worth it in the end. It was nice to see the support of her aunts, her friends, and the other Greek Billionaires especially Drake's involvement.

And the ending, I can't help but smile a Cheshire cat smile. That was a nice surprise.

On that note, I'm so proud of you that despite delaying Greek Billionaire 5 because of those reasons, I'm happy you were able to write something that was more of your liking.

Marian Tee as much as I'm happy about their happy ending I would like to add that I can't wait to read both Drake's and Willow's story. I was in cloud nine when I learned about their future mates.

After the emotional rollercoaster of the Greek Billionaire books, we finally come to a close. Marian Tee has kept our emotions on tenterhooks for I don’t know how many months now (or has it been a year since the first one?) I’ve felt physically ill with the lies and deceit, I’ve been angry and sad and felt my heart breaking with Mairi’s. This book has been no different in the way emotions have been wrung out of me. I’m an emotional reader, so sue me! If it’s sad, I cry. If it’s heartbreaking, I feel the pain in my chest. I love funny (please god, give me more funny!). As the lies and character withdrawals continue in this final instalment, I couldn’t help but wish for someone to come clean with how they felt! At least Damen was true to his feelings, even if he’s not believed. Previous times, I’ve wanted to bitch slap Damen, this time I just wanted to shake Mairi and everyone who’s interfered with their lives.
Marian has given a quality final episode to her series and didn’t bow to pressure and deadlines. You have to be proud of an author who tells the story as it should be until she’s happy with it and not succumb to demands and pressures. Yay, Marian! As readers, we don’t want half-assed efforts just to make deadline. Dedicated readers will get this. Marian, you’ve done us all proud.

I loved Damen and Mairi. This was another really well written book in this series and I can't wait for the next one. Even though this book gave Damen and Mairi their happy ever after, the next one fills in some of the blanks and the relationship with Mairi and her aunt's.
I found the little captions at the beginning of each chapter highly amusing, entertaining to make me smile. A wonderful book

I would rate this a 5 because I love Marian Tee so so so much, but this I'm going to rate this a .00001 because I'm so pisse off at Mairi!!! I couldn't finish this book with a happy heart. Even if it ended the way it did, I wish the Marian Tee would have edited that part. Marian Tee could have had Mairi stop Drake before it got too far but she didn't. Ill always be disappointed in that.

I saved Damen and Mairi's story to be read later because all the mentions in the other series made this story so epic. Lo and behold I get to book 4 and 5 and all I am is pissed off.

I won't ever read Drake's story!

Why prick Drake? There were Stavros and Ioniko...why some nobody stranger, Mairi?!??!

Her aunts were stupid, too. They weren't helping at all.

Drake is just another Lysander. Thank God Mairi didn't spend as much time with this prick as Misty did with Lysander. Thank God Misty never went that far with her prick.

Mairi wants to be strong?! What?!?! Being strong is stupidly letting another man whom you don't even love touch you?! What, Mairi, you and jerkass who had no effing business staying in your relationship, "never did it"?!?! That's a stupid lie. Poor Damen. Damen's cross to bear?! Nope, it should be the cheating Mairi and self-righteous prick Drake's cross to bear.

No, Mairi, you DID go THAT FAR with another man! I can't believe you! If it was a simple kiss and you stopped it, then yes, you and him didn't do it. But, no! You let him do everything! I'm so disappointed in you! This was NOT you trying to be strong! YOU WERE SO WEAK, that's why you thought letting that ass do all those things was okay...no, Mairi, it's not.

Sometimes I feel that Mairi doesn't deserve Damen. In other books, some of the characters feel like Damen didn't deserve Mairi, but I feel that it's the opposite. My feelings changed about Mair after she let slutass asshole Dick *ahem* Drake touch her like that. She was so stupid.

I don't understand why Mairi never tried to converse with Damen and was always waiting for the end of their relationship. Yes, I get the drama had to be dragged out, but the whole time I was just really pissed off. I hate infidelity and for someone who happened to love her dreamboat so much, she lost faith in him too easily.

What a journey for love and the dream Greek Billionaire husband she wanted.

This was a unique story she didn't want him for his money but his title which was Greek and a billionaire because of harlequin books she have read growing up.

I enjoyed the series.

Mairi - What a selfish, immature, self centred, whiny bitchy brat.

She is an undeserving floozy who had sex with another man (oral is still sex and still betrayal). Alina is out of the picture (even though he never cheated with her or anyone) and yet this selfish woman makes Damen accept Drake to live with them as her bodyguard indefinitely. And she continues to humiliate her husband by openly flirting and chasing after Drake. You married him you dumb ass, behave like a married woman. Excuse me? Selfish hoe! So dickface can be rubbed in poor Damen's face 24/7? Seriously? and poor Damen allows this for HER! Uggh, she is the worst kind of whiny self pitying insipid biatch.

Drake - Asshole who deserves to have the crap beaten out of him for what he did to Damen, who the hell does think he is acting all self righteous in his beating up of Damen. OH and yeah, When he was sexing it up with Mairi where were thoughts of his beloved Page then huh sleazoid? And the way he continually disrespects his employer and continues to flirt with the wife, what a slimeball.

Vilma - still hate that biatch for what she did to Damen, she deserves some pain. HCoward.

Damen - The only one I liked! He should've run away from all of these undeserving self righteous bitches and bastard and find someone worthy of his love and devotion. Yeah, he screwed up but he MORE than made up for it and on and on and on grovelling and accepting humiliation for her, and he NEVER cheated on her. And he kept taking shit from everyone for her.

What the hell did she do for him - big Cry Baby - she got him beaten up, empire lost, humiliated, and used by her, she cheated on him and continued to flirt with the same loser openly for months. Her actions and retribution are so much harsher and extreme than what he did and then he went to great extremes to grovel. She never did for her immature petty actions, her aunts, and her cheater lover.

I was really looking forward to this book. I thought because of the long delay on it being released it would be just that much better. Sad to say it was not as good as I was hoping it would be. The drama behind Mairi being strong was lost on me. I didn't understand how she was supposed to do that by trying to fake everything. Her issues with Alina and not speaking up about them were silly. Then the reason for Drake sticking around really didn't make any sense in the story.

There was a better way to have Damien be the one fighting for their love then what was told. The author could've easily let Mairi be single or seemingly in a relationship with Drake while Damien tried to win her back. The story just came off as Mairi being silly thinking she was being strong, that was all she talked about and it was too much.

The next one's supposed to be free but what more could really be told? The thing with his mother was what I really wanted to see come to an end but that didn't even happen. Now with this new heir it opens the doors for his story but the length, price, and time frame that these are released just don't add up to wanting to read more.

3.75 ~ 4 modern Disney.

This book wasn't a typical love story. That girl totally gave 100% to have her Fairytale.
After a long waiting period, I finally got my hands on this book. I wouldn't say this is my style but this series was surprisingly catching.
Mairy was dreamy but she grew up with Human god story and It gave the story a good dimension and also it wasn't really overdone.
And this final book was entertaining, I could have snap because of Mairy but I didn't. The author just didn't write more dramas. Just enough and revealed when it was needed.
everything went coherent.
And aslo, this final book wasn't boring because it focused on the story and not the past.
can't wait for the epilogue.

The happy ending we all craved has finally arrived! So much injustice has occurred both Damen and Mairi. It's been an emotional roller coaster, they suffered through a lot together but I do believe it's made them stronger as couple. Trust can easily be lost but it can be gained and that's one of the things that occur in this book. Mairi and Damen have their happily ever after and it was done in such an epic way! In all of Marian Tee's series, I always wish I was the main character. I want to crawl inside the book and live in the wonderful fantasy she creates. It makes me wish it was real. I was smiling like crazy by the end of the book. Marian has done it again. I will also never think of cougars the same way!

This was a great way to end Mairi and Damen's story. Their romance was a huge rollercoaster that had me crying in joy and frustration lol. I'd usually be sad to see it end but with them, I'm glad they finally got their happily ever after. T~T

The beginning was a little slow but I understand that everything had to be built up for them to continue their story, and it was actually very necessary in order for it to keep its "final" ambiance. I really enjoyed how everyone had a happy ending somehwere throughout the book. Mairi and Damen were still frustrating with their miscommunication but it was still lovely. <3

Why marry if there is no trust?

Our fav couple Damen and Mairi finally get married, but there still is a lack of trust and communication. At the first phone call taken in secret, Mairi instantly thinks it is Alina who is calling DL. If Mairi looks at Drake overly long, Damen instantly thinks she is comparing them and he comes out losing. This lack of faith almost breaks their marriage for good. But blessings come in small packages and this one in particular makes Mairi realize how much Damen really loves her. Very emotional book.

I've read this a long time ago (technically a day after it was released) I thought I wrote a review but found only now that I didn't. So here I go...

I love how Marian closed the story between Mairi and Damen. It was a roller coaster ride and a very hot ending. I enjoyed every moment of it. Marian Tee is always so good at stirring emotions through her book. If you love Billionaire heroes/stories... I'm sure you'd love this one. It's a great billionaire story with the Greek twist. Two thumbs up!

Such a great ending

I loved how the series ended. Damen & Mariri have had one shell of a relationship and more hurt then anything. Damen wants to win back Mariri love and let her know how much he is sorry. Mariri doesn't believe that Damen loves her nor that he wants to be with her. They have to fight hard and will their love be enough - gotta read the book to find out. I loved this book. Great job author.

I bought Books 1 to 5 to read as one novel and I absolutely luved it. I know it is a bit far-fetched (so many billionaires after one girl) but what the heck, it was fun, relaxing and totally addictive. Marian, you are awesome but you have left so many loose ends. What is the gender of the baby? What about all the other rich guys - they also need a HEA? Please, please, please give us follow-up novels - I promise I will buy them! Luv, Linda - South Africa <3 xxx

For fans of Marian Tee you are aware that this book was delayed. I personally had no problem with the delay, as I cannot imagine how difficult churning out story after story must be. It is obvious when reading this that the wait was worth it. The emotional third act was great! You will not be disappointed!

Finally! Was waiting impatiently for this one but it was a little bit of a let down as compared to the other books. Maybe the doubt so heavily exhibited in this book weighed me down a bit. Made want to slap Mairi and tell her to just get over it. But then I guess the lead up to the ending wouldn't have been so dramatic. Let's see what happens in the final installment.
