Review for Unforgettable- The Gentleman’s Club Series by Lacey Wolfe

Unforgettable is the first installment of The Gentleman’s Club Series by Lacey Wolfe and much like her past works it is brilliantly written. Wolfe has such a way with creating characters that stick with you long after you’ve finished reading and her story lines suck you in from the first page. I cannot wait to read more in this intriguing series!

Krista Michaels is talked into going to a new club by her best friend, Jamie. Just a little side note about Jamie — she is the kind of best friend we all need, one that picks you up when you are down and gives you a swift kick in the bum when you are being ridiculous. Okay, back to Krista… a divorced single mom who is looking for something or someone to break her out of her dating slump. The Gentleman’s Club is where older men go to meet younger women. Think George Clooney meets Megan Fox age wise… not gramps meets his child bride.

Krista is definitely skeptical about this outing to the club, but gives it a go to get Jamie off her back. She meets Neil … he is described in the book as hotter than George Clooney, so he’s pretty darn swoon worthy. He’s instantly attracted to Krista and wants to take her out and show her the benefits of dating an older man. And boy does he ever!

I really enjoyed reading Krista’s story — I think she’s got a voice that a lot of women out there will relate with. She falls into the girl next door category for me, she doesn’t think she’s anything special, but everyone else sees the gem that she is. I love how much she is dedicated to her child and that even though she’s nervous about dating she gives it a chance.

Neil? Well, he is a sexy as sin, filthy rich older gentleman that is ready to give Krista the world if she would only give him the opportunity. Neil is the kind of book boyfriend that will sweep you off your feet. He isn’t a douchebag, jerk, or overly dominant kind of guy. He likes to get his way, but he isn’t unreasonable in his requests and honestly his way leads to happiness for everyone involved and isn’t in anyway abusive like some of the other rich-guy-bad-boy-jerks we readers tend to love. It was nice to find a character that is swoon worthy AND a good guy. A pleasant surprise.

I give Unforgettable FOUR smashing stars for having a deliciously different spin on the millionaire hero type and FOUR drenched panties for the sexual angst and bring you to your knees hot smut. If you are looking for a quick romantic read that is full of heart pick this one up today, you’ll not regret it and like me you will be waiting to see which gentleman will find his lady next.

Unforgettable (The Gentleman's Club)by Lacey Wolfe

Unforgettable is the first book in The Gentleman’s Club Series. I gave this book a 5 star review because it was such a delightful, fun and sexy read. I cannot wait to read more in this series! I loved the unique plot of an older man becoming everything that a younger woman could ever want. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romantic and sensual love stories.

Krista Michaels’ dating life had been non-existent since her divorce a year before. When her best friend, Jamie, talks her into a night out at the newest May/December hang-out, The Gentleman’s Club, she goes along with it to get Jamie off her case. The club is where older men go to meet younger women.

As Krista lays eyes on a man who leaves her totally speechless, she is attracted to him immediately. He is described in the book hotter than George Clooney. Can an older man be everything Krista’s been looking for? Krista catches Neil Clarks attention right away. He likes younger women and having a good time. From their first conversation, he knows she isn’t a woman to simply play with. His main problem is Krista isn’t interested, or so she says. But Neil isn’t about to let her slip away.

Krista’s heart and mind battle each other as she tries to figure things out. She is a dedicated mother and is quite nervous about dating; she finally gives it a chance. But they have one huge difference in what they want out of life, and Krista isn’t willing to give up her values, not for a man, not for money, and not for love. Krista must come to terms with what she wants and give their relationship a chance.

I promise that you will love reading Krista and Neil’s story and like me look forward to the next book in the series.

Ok, I admit I'm a cougar, so when I received my ARC of Unforgettable I thought hmmm, an older guy? I don't know....

After reading it, Neil totally sold me on older guy hottness.

Krista and Neil meet at a club that centers on the older man/younger woman hook. Krista has a big secret she's hiding from Neil, one that kept me curious how this 'surprise' she has would play itself out.

Of course Krista doesn't want the complications that a relationship with Neil would involve but our hero is smitten and rather charming. (And who could blame her for giving in?? Their first date was so cool!)

I giggled in spots, and one line made me laugh out loud because Krista had an awkward Olivia moment. Their scenes of passion were toe curling, Lacey you naughty girl! And the ending was perfect. This novella is a perfect addition to a romance lovers must read list. I look forward to others in this series :-)

Unforgettable was a beautiful read! Krista is a single divorced mom not actively looking for a new man. But her best friend Jamie has other ideas! Why not try out an older man?! Neil is a single, rich 45 year old man who's only looking for a good time, the no strings kind . What he finds is Krista. There is so much going on in this story. I feel like many people will be able to relate to the situations in this book in so many ways. After reading this I say why not an older gentlemen? Neil certainly has a lot to be desired ;) anyways I don't want to give the story away but I will say it's a definite must read. It will make you laugh, smile and melt like butter and maybe even make you cry a little. I enjoyed it so much I can't wait for the next book of Laceys!!

This was a really sweet romance. It was sexy, but the love story was so much more! I loved Krista. She was strong, not clingy, her own person. Neil was a great character. I enjoyed that he was older, more mature than most characters. The story was a wonderful quick read and I liked it a lot!

Krista's best friend drags her to a club where younger women go to meet older men. Krista is not sure about this as she has more then just herself to think of and she's not all together sure she wants an older man. All she can picture is old wrinkled men with walkers. However when she meets Neil she is definitely attracted. But when they go on their first actual date she is sure that they are not meant to be. They are from different worlds and Neil makes it clear that he doesn't want children. He feels he is past that point in his life and for reason's she hasn't told him yet that is a deal breaker. But she just can't seem to call things off with him and the more they see each other the more she knows that she will have to end things even though that's not what her heart wants

Neil is enamored by Krista. He is immediately attracted to her and knows right away that she will not be one to play with. She is relationship material and he is more then willing to give it a try with her. After seeing her a couple of times and she still seems like she is pushing him away he goes back to his friends club for poker night and meets another lovely young woman but all he can think is she's not Krista. But when her friend walks in and see's him with the other young woman all he can do is try to get to Krista to explain and hope that this is not what makes her completely pull away from him. When he finally finds out her secret their relationship definitely takes a turn in another direction.

My Opinion:

I thought that this was a great book. I myself am happily married to a man only 6 months older then me but I have always been drawn to movies like Pretty Woman and books where older men and younger women get together. Lacey Wolfe definitely delivered a great book in that area and I would definitely love to read more in this series. Maybe read about her friend finding her man. :) I have read other books from this author and I can honestly say that I have yet to be disappointed. I read this book in one sitting as it was very easy to read and had a great story line and I honestly did not want to put it down. I highly recommend reading!

The story begins with Krista and her friend Jamie talking her into going to The Gentleman’s Club, for men who prefer younger women. Krista is uncomfortable but then meets Neil, who she describes as better looking than George Clooney! I think of George and wonder how anyone could be better but the picture lingers in my mind. They are immediately attracted to each other and Neil states he wants to see her. Krista, unfortunately, thinks even having dinner is something she can’t do and so she leaves with Neil’s phone number. Neil, however, isn’t going to give up and their first date is an impressive one, although Krista ends up backing off again.

Krista is hiding something and due to some of Neil’s comments, believes there is no use in continuing to date, so there is an off/on aspect of the relationship. She also has an ex-husband, who doesn’t seem happy that she has received flowers. And adding to that, she lives paycheck to paycheck and Neil is very wealthy, which makes her uncomfortable. He soon finds out that trying to set up low-key dates vs over-the-top expensive dates are difficult to plan.

There are some very sensual scenes and their first time together is beyond hot! The story continues with some miscommunications, sweetness, and is just a quick and sexy read. It’s so nice when the man is the one that is certain of their feelings and wants more with the woman. This is the first story I’ve read of Ms. Wolfe’s. She has published several books and I intend to read more of her work.

Krista Michaels is a recently divorced single mom. Her best friend Jamie talks her into going to the Gentleman’s club. It’s a club especially for younger women to meet older men. Krista isn’t thrilled but she goes and ends up meeting Neil Clark.

Neil Clark is a forty five year old self-made millionaire. He thought he was in love once, but when she broke his heart he decided the bachelor life was better suited for him. His friend Ian owns the Gentleman’s club and Neil spends time there. He’s a good looking older man and younger women seem to be attracted to him so why not?

I enjoyed this book. I was intrigued by the plot; I felt it held a lot of potential. I was frustrated that the author continually referred to Neil as “old” even though he is only 45. Maybe had the author referred to him as anything but "old" at that age, I would have felt better about that, since my age is close to his. Anyway, as predicted Krista misinterprets something and without even giving Neil the opportunity to explain, sends him packing. I think my problem with this is that it’s over-used. I want to smack characters who don’t at least hear out the other person without jumping to conclusions. That being said, the sex scenes were steamy and definantly earned this book a “hands down the pants” rating. I give this book 3.5 stars with 4 hands down the pants.

~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads Review Team~

This is a short book about Krista and Neil. They meet at a May/December club, meaning older man and younger women. The story had potential, I just really couldn’t feel the connection and I was hoping that as the story progressed I would. Even at the end, I never felt the connection. This just wasn’t the book for me but I am sure others will enjoy it.

Characters: As much as I wanted too, I just couldn’t feel the connection with the characters

Sex: yes

Religious: no

Would I recommend to others: yes

More than one book in the series: yes

Genre: Romance

Would I read more by this author: yes

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

This is the first in the series, and I am looking forward to future adventures. By the end of this book, you too will have ideas on who should feature next!

Krista is an interesting character, even if she thinks not. Neil is pretty much a dream man, and to date always a player. Once they meet it is just a matter of time before they both learn more about themselves and each other. It is a short, sweet and hot read, without too much drama - perfect relaxing reading. I had a few issues with the writing style, but the story itself was well worth the effort.

Ok. So it probably wasn't a good idea to read this after reading two outstanding series by M/M authors Lisa Henry and Aleksandr Voinov. Yeah. Tough acts to follow. Sure. My bad. HUGE mistake as this was barely okay. Just about.

I didn't expect to be wowed and to some extent I didn't want to read anything too compelling that would rob me of sleep as those two series did, but sheesh, I didn't expect to be sooooo bored.

Never again!

VERY forgettable!

2.5/5 rounded up.

**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

I thought this was a very beautiful short contemporary novel.

I fell in love instantly with Neil, a handsome 45 year old man who didn't believe in love since he got his heart shattered when he was young by his "true" love. He vowed that he would never do the "love" thing again. He liked to play the field and would frequent a Gentleman's Club that a close friend of his owned. He liked to have fun and be entrained by young beautiful women.

Krista was a young mother who got divorced from her husband due to the fact that there was just no more love in the relationship. She loved her son dearly and she led a very boring life and just dedicated her time to working and spending time with her son.

Her good friend Jaime convinced her one night to go out to a Gentleman's Club and meet older men. Krista met Neil that night and they hit it off instantly. They kept in touch after that night but Krista felt like she needed stability in her life and not one night stands. She didn't think that Neil would settle down so she would try whatever she can to try and dissuade him from trying to make things work between them.

Neil was determined and wanted to make things work with Krista because he felt an instant attraction with her and he knew she was different. She wasn't after his money, he felt like she was genuine.

Neil fought tooth and nail to make this woman understand that he truly cared for her. It took a lot of work, but he managed to finally break her walls and convinced her that they belonged together.

This was a very romantic and beautiful story. Two people who connected right away and even though their insecurities got the best of both of them, they overcame them and managed to get their happily ever after.

I highly enjoyed this novella and I think you will too, especially if you want something quick and entertaining.

I give this book 4 stars

Unforgettable is a light hearted story of Krista and Neil, two people trying to figure out a relationship and make it work. Krista is in her twenties and while Neil is older at 45. Krista meets Neil when her best friend Jamie drags her to a Gentleman’s Club where the women are younger and the men are older. I didn’t really find the May-December premise too out of the ordinary. In today’s world of dating, it just isn’t that unusual. It just felt normal to me and not uncomfortable at all.

Krista is convinced from the start that a relationship with Neil won’t work because of the different stages of life they’re in and that fact that Neil is rich. Neil who hasn’t been one to settle down and have a serious relationship, finds that he is drawn to Krista and must make it work with her. Neil keeps charming Krista and still wants to have a relationship even after he discovers her secret.

Jamie is looking out for Krista by being there for her, telling her it can work, and not being afraid to tell Neil off for her. Krista’s ex-husband makes a play for Krista when he finds her dating Neil. It’s one more element that Krista has to deal with in her developing relationship with Neil.

Krista and Neil’s story shows how we often make our own relationships more difficult when we expand on what we think the other person wants and don’t sit down and talk. It was a nice story about how Krista and Neil can change and adapt to each other’s world for love. I would hope the next story would be for Jamie and finding her love.

This is the first book I've read by Lacey Wolfe and now I'm wondering why? I really enjoyed this story. I found her writing to be wonderfully smooth and flowing and I loved the characters!

We meet Krista, a recently divorced mother of a 7 year old. She reluctantly agrees to go out to The Gentlemen's Club when her best friend, Jamie, hounds her incessantly. This is a club where younger women go to meet older men.

Enter Neil, a wonderfully handsome, wealthy business man who has an instant attraction to Krista.

Even with her instant attraction to Neil, Krista has her hang-ups from the moment they meet, when Neil mentions he's not interested in having kids, but Neil works hard to get her to give things a try. Thank goodness for Jamie, who as her best friend, tells her what she needs to hear at the right times. There are some ups and downs and misunderstandings, which made me want to shake these two at times.

This is a delightful, fun and sexy read! I am thrilled to find out that this is the first book in The Gentlemen's Club Series and there are more books to come. And I'm definitely going to check out Ms. Wolfe's other series!

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Krista is a divorced mother of a 7 year old son. After being divorced a year her friend Jamie talks her into going to the Gentleman's Club, a place where older men can meet younger women. Where she meets Neil. Tongue tied she from the attraction she feels. Neil asks her out but leaves it up to her to call. Torn between calling or just walking away Krista takes the chance and agrees to have dinner with Neil.

Neil had his heart broken when he was younger and hasn't any long term relationships' since but something about Krista makes it hard for him to walk away. Neil knows this isn't just some women he can walk away from but can he convince Krista of that.

Krista battles between wanting Neil and taking a chance to backing off and running the other way. The are quite a few laugh out loud moments in the book. Along with the passionate moments. They have their up and down moments and issues to work out but the book keeps a good pace. It is a short read and the first in the Gentleman's Club series. Looking forward to reading more in the series and Lacey Wolfe never disappoints.

Lacey Wolfe has struck again. Reading the blurb I wasn't sure how I would feel about this book but I haven't found a book by her I haven't loved so I took the chance and wasn't disappointed.

This book follows Krista who is dragged to the Gentleman's Club by a friend. There she meets Neil a Millionaire business man. The Gentleman's Club is a club where older men can meet younger women.

This story is good. What caught my attention was the fact that while these characters ages and backgrounds were so different it seemed to work. I will be the first to admit that this wasn't my favorite book but it wasn't bad either. I thought Krista's character was a bit too wishy washy or maybe all the other characters were just too strong and it made her seem that way. I can't really decide how that plays out but I think I would definitely read more books about the Gentleman's Club if they came along!

I have to start out saying that I didn't think this was going to be my type of book but boy was I ever wrong! I will be reading this one again and soon. This book is one that I very highly recommend.

Krista hasn't dated since her divorce a year ago and being a single mom, she makes up every excuse she can think of. Well, her friend Jamie has had enough of the excuses and convinces Krista to go with her to an older gentleman's club. While Krista thinks the idea is horrible and can't imagine being around "old" men, she finally caves and goes along.

Neil likes to have a good time and younger women are just the ones he likes. One look at Krista though and he knows she is more than just a one night fun in the sack girl. Neil tries he best to win and buy her over but quickly finds out that Krista isn't after what most women are.

There are some hysterical parts in this story! It was a wonderful wonderful book and I can't wait for Lacey to write more for this series.

I will admit my experience in clubs such as this is nonexistant. Unforgettable transported me into a new world.

We've all heard the discussion about when do you tell a potential future mate that you have children.
What do you do when you find someone who could be your perfect match but hear him say that he is not interested in having children? What if having several children has been your dream, and you already have a child?
This man is too dreamy to stop thinking about. Now you can not picture your future without him in it.

Lacey Wolfe writes in a way that we experience the emotions, we feel the dilemma and heartache.
We wish we could come up with a solution to make everyone happy, but how is that possible?

You will have to read Unforgettable to find out.

I was given a copy of the book in exchange for my honest opinions.

This short story does contain some sexual scenes so it may not be for everyone. Krista and Jamie are friends and they are both school teachers. Jamie has been telling her friend they can't meet a younger man who treats them right or wants a relationship. Jamie heard about The Gentleman's Club which specializes in older wealthy men and younger women who like older men. When they enter the club Krista feels really out of place. They get a drink and someone behind Krista asks them to join him. Krista turns and finds one very gorgeous man. Neil doesn't do relationships he had his heart broke at a young age and he is turned off love. When he meets Krista he is immediately drawn to her. I won't say too much about this story because it is short, but it is very good. Lacey Wolfe really knows how to pack a lot into a short story. Read this one

Lacey Wolfe always gives me amazing characters that I want to meet on the street. Krista is divorced with a son and ever since her divorce hasn't dated or tried to find a relationship. Step in the best friend, Jamie, who takes her to a new Gentleman's Club where older men are looking for younger women. Krista is hesitant to go but decides why not. From here we get to take this journey with Krista as she meets Neil, successful businessman who can't get enough of Krista. Can these two individuals from very different worlds find more than their instant attraction to be together? Will Krista's son be able to handle his Mom dating? Jump in for a sexy, sweet romance that will steal your heart and raise your heart rate.

Krista’s best friend takes her to gentleman’s club for older men and younger woman to get together. Krista doesn't think this is quite the place for her. Until Neil introduces himself, that is. He’s a sexy, wealthy, forty-fiver year old man. Everything about the match may possibly be wrong, but every time they meet seeing each other again seems oh so right.

I like the idea behind the story and am looking forward to seeing where this series goes. You could definitely relate to the characters. I would have liked to feel the connection between the two characters just a bit more. Maybe it was just a little rushed for me, but it was a good read. It’s a quick romance with a happy ending. You can’t ask for much more. Enjoy.

Krista has a thing for a mature man. She likes someone who knows what he wants and after her divorce, she's almost ready to get back into the dating pool.

Ms. Wolfe's stories contain characters that readers can connect with. Krista could be me. Many of the experiences she had with her life, were ones that I had as well. But unfortunately, I didn't find a sexy rich older man! Oh well!

This is the first book in a series based on the Billionaire Club where women and men can find the perfect match, even if just for one night. Even though it is a part of a series, it's a wonderful stand alone story.

This quick read was one I wanted to read in one sitting. I couldn't put it down.

This is book one and it draws you in, will be interesting to read the next one. The main character Krista Michaels was relatable and how dedicated she is to her child.

Neil was a intriguing character compared to other rich types i've read so it was a good change from the normal. While he likes to get his way and its usually for the better he isn't a prick about it which i enjoyed.

This was a great interesting read with a intriguing storyline and wonderful characters even Jamie who wasn't a main character.

Neil was a wealthy business man who has given up on love. When they meet at a Gentleman's Club all bets are off. These characters are easy to relate to and how they are feeling. It was a real quick read that leaves you wanting more! So do Krista and Neil get their HEA? read the book to find out!

Cute read

This was a very cute book. Even with all the ups and downs of Krista's worries, Neil never gave up and he did all he could do to make her realize he truly loves her. Krista gives in, but she's still worried she won't be enough and at the first sign of trouble she bolts. Neil decides he's not giving up on her no matter what and it ends up being the best decision he's ever made.

Another sexy and daring read by Ms Wolfe!

Who doesn’t fantasize about a sexy, mature man every now and again? Lacey hit’s the fantasy on the head and what I loved about Neil and Kristen’s story was that it felt true to life with real conflicts, real dilemmas and it made the happy ending more emotional and believable. Can’t wait for book 2!

Krista wasn't looking to meet a guy and when she does she decides that he is totally wrong for her. Neil thinks they have more in common than Krista thinks he just needs to not scare her off. This was a really good book and Neil was so great the way he tried to make sure he didn't overwhelm Krista. I loved the ending!!

Hard headed woman is difficult to convince.

This book was very entertaining. Our hero had a very hard time convincing his lady of his interest in having a relationship with her. After several misunderstanding they finally get their act together. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance where the man has to work to get his woman.
