LinkedIn Riches: How to Leverage the World's Largest Professional Network to Enhance Your Brand, Generate Leads and Increase Revenue! is a solid primer on the basics of using LinkedIn for business growth, and in particular lead generation. The key take away is that his approach is based around personality and personalisation. Whereby, the uniqueness of your character establishes a tangible human connection. Of equal importance alongside this, he ushers you toward highlighting the ‘required value’ you can provide - rather than just blowing your own trumpet.
The audio version features his zany humour and occasional impressions. Thus, it’s peppered with 80’s and 90’s pop culture references and pearls of wisdom from the likes of Yoda. While his style of humour likely won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, I did find his approach endearing — as I’m sure many will. For me, he succeeds in making what could be a very dry subject a little more interesting.
What I found most compelling was the manner in which John Nemo openly exposes his genuine personal vulnerabilities as a regular part of his business approach. In theory many would expect this not to work but he is the classic example of how just the right amount of vulnerability at an appropriate time can be truly powerful.
Overall, LinkedIn Riches exemplifies a workable foundation for Business growth on LinkedIn. It’s certainly not the only successful path one could take on LinkedIn but it is a very capable one — as long as the right framework and attitude is applied. This is not a work of intricate detail on the ins and outs of LinkedIn, it is more of a general approach to online marketing with LinkedIn being the vessel for the journey. Thereby, I’d most recommend it to those looking to be fully primed in the basics.
Like many people, I had used LinkedIn for simply posting my career experiences and to search for a job. Now, in my current sales role I am using LinkedIn to share content related to the software solutions (SaaS) that customers buy from our company.
Prior to reading John's book, I'd only make connections with people I knew, or wanted to know. I never really personalized a connection request thinking of the other person first, but John gives a great example of how to do that and just this past weekend, 3 new connections were made that will give me an opportunity to determine if these individuals and their line of work would qualify as a prospect.
I am much more comfortable with profile and how to use it effectively for marketing and sales opportunities.
The recommendations that John suggests regarding how to change your summary and how to make a connection are incredibly helpful and effective. I highly recommend the book.
Nemo is not a novelist. He’s a genius. Able to make a dull topic fun, engaging, interactive, and deeply relatable. I relate to what he’s gone through personally but to different results. He changed my perspective on writing. To succinctly deliver information as uniquely as possible. If I felt able to finish the book sooner. I might have done so. I got bogged down by a lot of the basics of LinkedIn. The payoff toward the end seemed a bit short.
This is a very unique situation, a basic guide, and more of a marketing tool if anything at all. I do not think this is bad. It simply was not what i needed and invested a good amount of time to finish the book.
It could have been a five if there was more on the aspecting of direct message marketing. The true basis at the end seems as if he is going deep into scripts. I think a book on sales scripts is more of what I need.

Excellent primer on lead generation and sales on LinkedIn. The keyword here is leads and sales. If you run a business, you should not be dilly-dallying on LinkedIn for fun. Get serious, the leads are there for you on a platter. Use the advanced search, use the group functions, and start connecting. You've got a person's work history, and their business interests. Now you take it from there and close the prospect.
John Nemo zooms in to the benefits of LinkedIn Prospecting. If you own a business or are in sales, and you aren't using LinkedIn Lead Generation, you are leaving piles of cash on the table.
John got my attention with the Indiana Jones reference at the beginning! Haha! Seriously though, that opening made him relatable and not just some distant person who knows a lot about LinkedIn. John explains LinkedIn in a way that makes sense, and the examples in the book of what he was talking about make it easier for me to apply to my LinkedIn. I have already had a slight uptick in book sales, and have networked to get some potential speaking gigs. Because of the 1 on 1 approach John explains in the book. I would recommend this book!!!
This book gives you a step by step guide to building your profile, attracting more customers and making more sales using LinkedIn.
It takes you beyond the common image of LinkedIn in that it’s a professional resume for job seekers to show you how with a few tweaks to your profile you can become an attraction agent and build Alice of your dreams.
And then there are the bonuses. An outstanding compendium of short cuts to blowing up your LinkedIn account.

Straight To The Point Practical Sales System For LinkedIn
I was going for 4.5 but I can't give half stars.
I thoughts John's tips and system are a relational approach to selling on linked in. He is clear about the need to build relation ships before asking for a sale. He take a more strategic and human approach to engaging an audience on LinkedIn
I connected with the book a lot more than when I read The LinkedSelling model.
I'm setting up time to use John's concepts and update my social media profiles.
Easy and fun to read and full of great actionable tips
I really liked the style of the book. It's easy and fun to read. The best part is that it's full of actionable tips and examples that show you how to do the work for yourself. I have already updated my LinkedIn profile with the help of the book.
It's also an interactive experience since there are links to online content which is useful and up to date. Recommended read for every professional and business person using LinkedIn!
I had been working with LinkedIn and Sales Navigator to drive signups for my webinars. I thought I was doing pretty good...about 5% registered, about 20% accepted my connection request, about 15% declined it and 60% ignored it. One day after reading John’s book, I followed his structure and I’ve got about 10% registered, 40% accepting my connection, 5% declining and 45% ignoring. That’s huge!
My first book will be published the beginning of 2023 and one of the social media sites Bookbaby will put an ad is LinkedIn, and I was curious why. In the early 2000s I created an account but after a couple years stopped visiting, which might have been a mistake. After reading John Nemo's book I now see the logic of advertising on LinkedIn. Also, now I understand how I can use those ads constructively and not have them go to waste.
Super simple, direct advice on LinkedIn strategy to relate to people you envision doing business with. I’ve been active on In for a few months now and this book gave me some excellent insights. Just today I requested recommendations from my work colleagues on my LInkedIn page and 4 people contributed with a kind note. Read on!
This book was very insightful as I’m a fan of LinkedIn. John gives great ways to improve profiles and make connections that I may use. I was disappointed however when I checked out Chris Brogan’s LinkedIn. As I said I will try some of the technique in the book and if they add value I will definitely come back and give that last star.
Appreciate John addressing my biggest pet peeve with people on LinkedIn...pitching me on your business before we even know each other. In this book John won't exactly take you from zero to hero on LinkedIn, but there's solid content in here to seriously help you navigate the platform more effectively.
I must say, before I even reached the halfway mark, I was ready to remake my own LinkedIn profile.
Anyone - especially entrepreneurs and freelancers - who wants to look more professional and feel more confident, this is a must read to be added to your recommended list!
John Nemo doesn't give away the farm but he does give enough detail to start an effective B2B marketing campaign. To become a ninja at LinkedIn marketing you'd probably have to do his advanced training
A great introduction to LinkedIn. Despite being technically adept, I had never used social media before reading this book. Less than two years later, I have new leads coming in on LinkedIn nearly every month. The section on creating a profile was particularly helpful.
Excellent, exceeeded my expectations. Breezy, down to earth, conversational tone. Concrete examples, helpful links and he provided readers with access to updates and further contact. Well worth my time and the price.
This book provided excellent actionable advice (and even some scripts) for professionals who want to level up their outreach on LinkedIn. A fast read with no added fillers - highly recommend!
This is a good book to spend about 2 hours of your time learning how to optimize your LinkedIn profile. He really hammers home the point of making sure what your asking someone to do is proportionately to what you've provided to them.
Really good book for using LinkedIn effectively in your business. John really knows his stuff and gives great advice on how to use LinkedIn effectively for business.
This book was a fast, entertaining read that was heavy on usable strategies and light on pontificating. He’s a bit of a goofball, but a loveable one nonetheless.
Very concise and eye-opening to the psychology behind connecting on LinkedIn. This book really helps an introvert like me feel confident to connect and network in my industry and in an authentic way.
If you’re thinking about using LinkedIn as a business tool, this book will guide you in the right direction. I recommend it for professionals trying to improve their online marketing skills.
This is a short book and the information within the book is pretty easy to put into use. It does refer to some other resources that I didn't follow up on. If you are in a B2B business, this isn't a bad read to help use Linked in more effectively.
This book has very relevant advice about attracting and interacting with your best business prospects on LinkedIn. A little more fluff than I prefer, but good information.
Short , to the point with some good examples and practical things you can do. However, should be more stuff tha n just few short Ice Breakers and introductory scripts. I was in B2C and this stuff rarelly work, at least in Fitness. Let's see B2B realm.
Another book that I read at work. I work in marketing and for me, there was nothing ground breaking about this read. A few great tips on how to optimize your LinkedIn page but nothing that I haven’t heard before.
