~ 4 Wicked Flames Stars ~

Wicked Flames is book three in the Solsti Prophecy by Sharon Kay. This novel takes place right after Wicked Waves, so you do need to read in order.

The Lash demons are so darn sexy that you can't help but fall in love with them. This novel is loaded with action that keeps the characters jumping from one moment to another. And when things weren’t so dire, we are treated to some super-steamy sex scenes that keep the heart racing.

Gin is the only sister that wants nothing to do with her powers. We do finally learn why this is. I was a little frustrated with her stubbornness and the blinders she puts on. She’s blind to think that she can’t get involved in what is happening with her sisters and the world. Her stubbornness to refuse to use, learn, and to see the necessity of her gift got to be frustrating at times.

Mathias on the other hand made it worth while. He is one sexy Lash demon and although he withheld early on, he quickly showed his ability to communicate honestly and from the heart. I was pleased to see that Mathias was incredibly patient and encouraging with Gin. I also felt his frustrations with her even though I could understand her fear.

We also get a surprise appearance with a Thief? Who could it be? And, we learn something about Raniero & Ashina. It was sweet how this played into the story.

I’m enjoying this series. It’s all adding up to one big event. If you like fast-paced stories with a touch of magic and paranormal then you should give this series a try.

This Scorching third addition to Sharon Kay’s Solsti Prophecy series grabs you from the beginning and doesn’t let go. The plot she’s been weaving from the first two books in her series thickens here and will leave you begging for the next book.

Gin Bonham has an affinity for fire and unlike her sisters she has no wish to embrace her talent. She goes to class, teaches dance and does everything a normal young woman does while trying to keep her secret. That is until one super sexy tall demon burns up the dance floor with her. But he isn’t who she thinks he is.

Mathias, he’s a demon with a mission. We all know this gorgeous Hunter from the second book in the series. When he’s on an assignment he gives it his full focus. That is until his duties require persuading one super hot Solsti with a temper as fiery as her power.

The way the plot unfolds leaves you guessing and wanting to turn the page to find out if your assumptions are correct. Guess what? They’re not. Sharon like always has a talent for writing the unexpected. Your heart flutters, races and melts along with these two characters. It’s by far the best in the series and if you think her imagination was outstanding in the first two books you haven’t seen anything yet.

This book has the world of Torth like you haven’t seen it before. So strap in and be prepared to go on an adventure through fast action, sizzling romance, steamy sex, and plot twist that will leave you with your mouth hanging open. I can’t wait for the next book and when you’re done with this one you will be begging for it too.

Thank you Sharon Kay for another excellently crafted, magical read.

Gin Bonham knows that demons exist. She also knows that her sisters are embracing their powers to manipulate water and the wind. With a traumatic event behind her, fear is all Gin associates with her own ability. And so, she wraps herself around a carefully constructed, normal life, free from the world of demons and supernatural powers... or so she thinks!

Demons are all around her. Some are there to protect her, while others are there to cause her harm. But with portals to the other realm showing up on Earth the Hunter demon, Mathias, is instructed by the leader of the Lash demons to meet Gin, and to convince her to join in their mission. Mathias is confident he'll achieve his goal. The problem is, once they meet, the chemistry between Mathias and Gin is off the charts! And plans are put on hold.

As Mathias and Gin's romance intensifies, danger is creeping in. A sinister plan is underway, and time is of the essence.

"They reached the foyer, dimly lit with the sun's valiant effort to shine thorough the clouds ... Eight male Deserati demons lurked... "

And in the realm of Torth, we discover delightful exploits, as the Lash demon and the Solsti weave their way through this enchanted world. All the vibrant details we've come to know, love, and expect from this series are realized in this installment!

I loved all the characters, but especially Mathias. He's powerful, loyal, handsome, and respectful -- all the important elements of a swoon-worthy alpha male! And the romance is exquisite. This book contains some of the most well written, and steamy love scenes I've read!

Get ready for an exciting adventure, with vibrant world building, and fully developed characters! This is a must read for paranormal romance fans.

Lash demons you have to love them, I thought Gunnar and Kai were hot but now I have new favourite Mathias <3

Well on to the book, this is book 3 of series and I've loved them all but this is my favourite so far, Mathias is a Lash Demon and is a great characther and he can dance! His not perfect and makes mistakes, but he has many qualities. He will need them all to convince Gin they need her, or should I say he needs her......

Gin is a strong female, not wanting anything to do with being a solstice or getting to know any Lash Demons.

When Gin and Mathias meet they have a spark neither can deny, but gin has no idea who he is and how vulnerable she is in the world now that people know the solstice are real.

I really liked Gin, she's very grounded and caring she also questioned everything and didn't forget Mathias made a big mistake even when she was happy with him, which I found very realistic for a pnr book.

This book has action, romance, but delves a little deeper in to the past and explains lots of things which added to my enjoyment.

As with all Sharon's work the book flows well and writing and story draws you in to a magical world full of hot lash demons and heart warming romance, what's not to love!

I can't get enough of this series. Sharon Kay has me spellbound to both her characters and her writing. I don't read a lot of the paranormal genre anymore but every time I get the privilege of reading another story in the Solsti Prophecy, I get a book hangover for days and can't pick up another novel of any genre.

Wicked Flames picks up where Wicked Waves left off. Gin Bonham, sister to Nicole and Brooke, and the third Solsti prophesied to to exist when the world would need them most, wants nothing to do with the gift that was bestowed on her at birth. Believing that her gift of producing flame on a whim to be a curse unlike her sisters wind and water manipulation, she turns her back on all things related to the strange magic. She's put others in danger with her ability and for years has fought long and hard with her sisters to keep it hidden and at bay. But now that Nicole and Brooke have settled down with their Demon mates at Demon Central in Chicago, the fight is coming straight to Gin's doorstep.

Mathias is a Hunter and Lash Demon. He's able to persuade people and all manner of creatures alike to do things that he wants them to do so when he's given the order to persuade Gin Bonham, he heads out and won't give up until she joins the fight along side her sisters. What Mathias is not prepared for is the fiery attitude and personality to go with the flames he knows she's capable of producing. The heat between them throws him off balance and now he's stuck between a rock and a hard place, wanting to keep his little fire starter safe but at the same time asking her to put herself in harms way to save the world.

He licked her skin, tracing the edge of a moon engulfed in flames. "I want to hear the story behind this."

"I had this dream that the moon was on fire and somehow it was my fault. I don't know why. Maybe because back in high school I loved learning about mythology, and the goddess of the moon is also the goddess of hunting. Her name is Diana, or Artemis in Greek. She's a badass, but she's a myth."

Gin finds herself in the thick of things with a man she finds she knows nothing about but can't get off her mind. How after trying to avoid this very situation for so long has she found herself in the thick of the fight once and for all? The question remains, can she pull herself together and fight for what's right, join her sisters and save the world, or will she decide the thought of hurting others with her power is just too big a risk?

Incredible writing, phenomenal story and just the right level of heat between characters to leave you salivating but sated in the end. I always want more! I'm greedy and can't get enough of the characters as they find one another and stumble through impossible situations. The lore and the mythology and the way that Sharon sets it all up in this gorgeous package is just mind bending and wonderful to behold. It's a treat to read one of her novels and I'm now waiting with bated breath to read the fourth installment of the Solsti Prophecy series.

My Review
Sharon Kay has done it again!

Wicked Flames is book three in her fantastic Solsti Prophecy series and it is hot, hot, hot.

Book three focuses on Gin, the third sister to join in the Solsti fun and she wants absolutely nothing to do with their new world or the "gift" of fire which she has been given. Enter Mathias, sexy Lash demon, sent to protect her and convince her to get with the program. As the story is introduced we see that Gin isn't just being stubborn but that she has very valid reasons for shunning her powers and the lifestyles that her sisters have taken to.

Wicked Flames is told in multiple points of views. You get a great insight into Gin's struggles and Mathias's inner dialogue. You also get to see the instant heat between these two well developed characters and you gain a clear understanding of why they are both approaching things the way they are.

This is a series that you must read in order.  Do yourself a favor and grab book one, Wicked Wind. If you've taken advantage of the  Kindle Unlimited program Wicked Wind is available for download. WooHoo! So be sure to grab your copy today and join me in counting down the days until we get book #4 in this fantastic series.

Recommendation: If you love STEAMY PARANORMAL ROMANCE with a great plot to push the story along then this series is a must read.

The Solsti Prophecy series offers:

Well developed and hot characters.
Great plot that moves the story forward.
Steamy romance.
Conflict, Passion, and Action.

If you enjoyed Gena Showalter's Lord of the Underworld  series then I think you will also enjoy this series.

Warning: This is for 18+ readers. Language and steamy sex scenes.

Wicked Flames by Sharon Kay
5 stars!!
HOT!

This is the third novel in the Solsti Prophecy series by Sharon Kay, and as far as paranormal romances go I have to say, one of my absolute favorites! I quickly fell in love with Nicole and Brook’s stories in Wicked Wind and Wicked Waves, but Gin and Mathias had me in love from the first page. This is a book filled with magic, romance, SEX and excitement and will leave you not wanting to put it down!
Gin is fighting her gift, or curse if you ask her what it was. She wants nothing to do with anything even remotely supernatural. She avoids the open flame like the plague, no candles, all electric amenities etc. and she has completely devoted her life to what she can scientifically explain and prove. After what has happened in her life, she wants to dedicate herself to helping make sure everyone in the world has clean water to drink, thinking that is not only an option, but also a way to make sure she doesn’t hurt anyone.
Mathias is by all means an purposes “Hunter” with his abilities to track anyone or anything anywhere, he makes a lethal combination especially for those who dare to cross his mission. Convincing the reluctant Solsti to not only get over her hatred for her abilities but also join their cause was going to take finesse and hard work. Especially because he would have to hide who and what he really is in order to even get close to her. What he never expected was for her to become his everything. “I will always protect you, always find you.”
While the “love” part of this story seemed a tad rushed as far as the time line went, considering the extreme situations they were put in, Sharon Kay brought an amazing sophistication to the excitement and allows you to fall in love, right with them. The way that Mathias and Gin work together to come outside of themselves, and bond is so special, and unique to their story and it is one that will leave you breathless. “You’ll feel my need for you, right along with your need for me.”
The fourth book in the Solsti Prophecy series, On Wicked Ground, is projected to come out Janurary of 2015. It will tell the story of the final Solsti and I am fairly certain the big battle that the Solsti were born to come up against. Good and evil, love and hate, drama and suspense….. this series has it all! The real question is, are you up for it?

Never have demons looked so good or oozed so much sex appeal! How do I know, you ask? I have followed every word in this series from Sharon Kay and this woman can write! With her latest addition to the Solsti Series, Wicked Flames, Ms. Kay did not just tell me a smoking hot story; she put me in the story, while my mental movie screen put her word-born images into my head! I do believe at one point, I may have had steam coming out my ears as my internal fire alarms went off!

Speaking of fire, it is an affinity that Gin possesses, controlling fire (mostly), one she keeps hidden at all costs as she tries to go about normal human activities and the day to day challenges we all face. Enter Mathias, who heats up more than Gin’s fire power, as he, too finds this woman more than just another assignment as he makes his move that will change her destiny forever. Will Mathias cool this fiery Solsti’s temper or will their equally matched determination clash like two bulls running head toward each other.

Welcome back to the world of Torth and the characters who populate it as Sharon Kay fills our minds with vivid descriptions, molten hot scenes and takes us down paths that are unpredictable and often dangerous, as Gin fights to run from her newfound life and Mathias fights to get her to accept it. Who holds the wildcard in this tug of war of both lives and hearts? When he smoke clears, who will be left standing by whom? Not really sure how Sharon Kay can take an often written about genre and dress it up so fresh and new like she does, but this is one series that just gets better and better! From its well-developed, damaged and completely loveable characters to the plot twists that make your head spin, to the sensual heat that will scorch your eyeballs, Sharon Kay’s inner writing demon is in full control! Can't wait to see what happens next!

Gin. She's the most stubborn of her sisters, and she wants NOTHING to do with her power. She goes into a resturant with candles she blows them out. She's looking for a place to live? She makes sure it doesn't have gas burning apliances. She hasn't been around an open flame in years. Why? Because she's scared of what she could do with it. Gin doesn't want to hurt people in fact she wants to help them and she's scared of the gift the could burn someone to death by accident.

Mathias is the best Hunter there is and he's also an expert at persuation and now he has his toughest assignment yet. Convince a reluctunt Solsti to jump onboard and start training and prepairing with her sisters, by any means necesserary. But one look at her and he knows its gonna be a challenge, and one that's wrapped in a sexy little package at that. What lengths will he go to, to convince her and what happens when all the cards are on the table?

In this addition to the series the Solsti story continues to grow from what we've already read in the previous two books, as well as tell the story of the third sister. Seeing her story and why she's so reluctant you can see her point and why Gin is so reluctant to get involved. I loved Mathias and how he helped her see her gift a different way and come to terms with what she tought of as a horrible event. And the two together were HOT!!!! I loved seeing them burn up the dance floor and go toe to toe together and come together and be stronger for it was great. I also loved the little glimpses we saw not only from Nicole and Brooke but other sources as well. Definitely excited for this series and where it will go from here!!!

I’ve read each of the books in this series, and I have to say that I found Gin the hardest of the sisters to empathize with or even like. Stubbornly refusing to see the necessity of embracing her powers, and using that stubbornness to hide her inherent fear of making a mistake, Gin’s transformation was slower than I expected to see.

Mathias I found to be a bit withholding early on, although he quickly showed his ability to communicate honestly and from the heart – a real surprise for a very alpha and protective demon. There were times when I felt his frustration with Gin’s hesitancy, even though I could understand her fear. The thing is –Gin is smart: off the chains smart. So, when she started to get some answers about how things work, and their purpose, she should have loosened up some and trusted in herself and her powers. And Mathias was incredibly patient and encouraging: something truly unexpected from his manner and approach to go, do, solve and leave.

Loaded with action that kept the characters jumping from one moment to another, and when the action wasn’t always ‘life threatening’ readers were treated to some super-steamy, super-sized sex scenes that keep heartbeats racing even though there is no running involved.

I’ve enjoyed this series, and look forward to finding out just where the one surprising revelation told in a seemingly out of place point of view will take us. If you like sexy, fast paced stories that carry a touch of magic and paranormal – this is a great series to grab.

I have to say that I was looking forward to this installment primarily because there is just something about the ability to manipulate fire that I find very appealing and exciting. It also makes an excellent backdrop for a little bit of "personal" heat and steam... and Gin and Mathias did not disappoint! Yes, they have great chemistry. Probably my favorite couple match so far in this series.
Gin is a Solsti... there are four all together... and she can manipulate fire. Her two sisters can manipulate water and wind. There is a 4th Solsti and we get some hints as to who she is in this book. Nope, I'm not gonna' tell ya'... but, I love where that part of the story is going.
Gin was determined to live a normal human life and was afraid of her gift of using fire due to an incident from her teen years. But, the Solsti are more powerful together as a team and Mathias was sent to convince her to step up and accept her gift and learn to use it. There is something powerful brewing in the Demon world and they will need the power of the Solsti for what is coming. What Mathias didn't expect was to fall for the beautiful and powerful fire wielding Solsti. And, since he can conjur up a ball of fire... because yep, he is a Demon... that makes them a pretty good match. OH... and by the way... he can dance! I love a man who can dance... wins me over every time.
Excellent addition to the series... and I can't wait to see what happens next in the world of the Solsti.

5 Wicked Stars

This book was amazing! It was about Gin the third Solsti. We get to learn more about her and why she thinks her power is a curse. This book doesn't have as much action on Torth as the first two books do, but Mathias makes up for that. Mathias is HOT!!

Gin doesn't want to be like her sisters. She doesn't want her power. She wants to move to remote areas and help people get water. She wants nothing to do with the life her sisters live with demons, fairies and other mythical creatures. Why can't life be easy? Everything is going well until Mathias shows up. She wants him and isn't focused on the strange things happening around her. What will she do when she finds out who and what Mathias and Ria are?

Mathias is sent to get Gin to accept her powers and use them. He was told to use any manner necessary. He wasn't expecting to be attracted to her. He can't take his eyes off her from the moment he sees her. He knows she needs to know the truth, but if he tells her she will run. What will he do? Start the relationship as a lie? Or will he end up chasing her because he scared her off?

This is am amazing third book and I cannot wait for the final book in the series!! I need it now. Before starting this book I thought I knew who the fourth Solsti was, but I was very wrong!! I did guess who it was a little over half way through the book though. Way to keep me glued to my couch so I could read this book Sharon!!

Dear Sharon,
I'm not good at memes or gifs or funny pictures to insert, otherwise I would put a picture of me lying here breathless with my heart so full and my mind blown and awaiting the new year again for book #4!
I don't know what you did before you started writing, but you are a true storyteller and you definitely have a calling. I'm putting you right up there with my other favorite author Kristen Ashley (even reminds me of her Fantasyland series with the stories you weave). I literally put my whole day on hold just to finish this book, and boy, you did not disappoint. My ebook was about 600+ pages, but I wish it was longer. (Please feel free to make it longer!).
I kinda wish stubborn Gin's experience on Torth was longer, but I guess she had other kick ass things to do on earth instead.
Stubborn hard headed Ginger and her Hunter. I don't know what else to say about them...
If you're contemplating reading this series, just DO IT!! Read it! Then you can come back and join me in praising Sharon Kay for her magical way with words that transported me temporarily to a world filled with badass lash demons, magic, and the Solsti women that wield them both.

Where do I even begin with this book... oh, yeah. with the first one in the series! LOL. Each book seems to get better and better.

This is book 3 in the series, and I am DYING to know how it's all going to turn out.

This book is about the 3 Solsti, the supposed youngest and only other living sister, Gin. Gin, is so much like her power. Strong and stubborn. Ever since a scary incident, where she couldn't control herself or her power, she has vowed to never have anything to do with it ever again.

Her sisters have come to control their powers, and are trying to persuade Gin to do the same, to prepare themselves for whatever is to come.

Gin has become fast friends with Ria, without knowing the true reason why. Still stubborn as ever, enter Mathias into the story. This is pure heat and lust at first glance and dance. Gin has always been busy, and wrapped in studies and work, never any time for men. Mathias quickly changes that.

Love, Love, Love this story so much! I am way beyond excited to read the final installment of this series.

This book, like the first has it all. Love, sex, drama, little bit of banter, hint of betrayal, you get the idea. Must Read 5 Stars!

This latest addition to the Solsti Prophecy was exciting, romantic and suspenseful.

Gin Bonham has always rejected her power and wants nothing to do with it. She does not understand how her sisters have joined forces with the demons and continues to resist their pleas to join them.

Mathasis is a lash demon and is known as the hunter. His task is to convince Gin to join her sisters in fighting a common enemy, and it is not as easy as Mathasis thought it would be. Great chemistry between the two of them from the start and it just gets better as the story continues.

The story is a wonderful romance, very hot, and Mathasis and Gin scorch the pages. There was suspense, of course some bad guys, and lots of adventure. The world building is well written and the continuity continues from book to book. I love this series and can’t wait for the next book.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I am totally loving this fantastic series! This is the third book and I thought it was amazing! Gin is the third sister but where her older siblings embrace their abilities, she refuses to have anything to do with it or the prophesy that claim that she and her sisters will have to fight evil. Mathias is a tracker as well as a Lash demon who is tasked with convincing Gin to embrace her talent and work with her sisters. The chemistry between Gin and Mathias is instant and intense. I found myself drawn into this third tale just as fully as the first two. The story is filled with action, suspense, fantasy and romance. It is also very well written and I found myself not wanting it to end. I highly recommend this story to lovers of romantic fantasies but do advise that readers read this series in order as it is a continuing tale. I have read all three and I have to say that each book is fantastic!

Holy hotness!! Nobody does steamy goodness like Sharon. I missed the action in Wicked Flames that was in the previous two, but I know that Gin is a little hardheaded and it took some coaching.
I was once again blown away with the visuals I got of all the different places they visited, and I'm thinking I want to run away to Troth with this group of Demons, and NEVER come back!! These books should be movies, who do I need to write?
Mathias is the perfect combo of what every girl loves in a man.
Sweet CHECK
Sexy CHECK
Protective CHECK
Bad ass CHECK
Alpha CHECK
He's got the moves in and out of the bedroom. Yumm
Gin, she is one tough chick and I'm just a little, okay you got me, A LOT afraid of these bad ass chicks. I don't ever want to be on the wrong side of a Solsti!
The only thing bad about this series is that IT ISN'T COMPLETE, I need the next book like yesterday!!

Another grand slam.
I am a huge fan of this series and this installment did not disappoint.
Gin is the youngest surviving sister... or is she. She's the third Solsti and fire is her affinity.
Mathais is a Lash Demon, a Watcher, and "The Hunter."
Gin wants nothing to do with the supernatural world. She fears her ability and refuses to hear or accept her fate.
Mathais is tasked to bring Gin to their cause by any means necessary.
Old friends and enemies are revisited here and new are made.
Can Gin overcome her fear and join her sisters?
This is an amazing supernatural series and I cannot wait for the final installment!
Love, sex, drama, intrigue, and romance.
Easily a 5 star read.
I highly recommend.

I have to say, this has become one of my favorite series! Loooove Mathias MMhmmm! Yummy! I think the author did a fabulous job in the way she brings the MC Gin and Mathias together. Gin is a feisty girl who will not let anyone tell her how to run her life. But on the same hand she is also compassionate and wants to help anyone she can. You can't help but love her. I wouldn't recommend reading this without reading the other books in the series. I also cannot wait to read the next book. January can't get here fast enough! Thxs for another amazing read! <3

Stubborn? Check. Smart? Check. Dangerous? Checkmate. Gin is the reluctant younger sister of Nicole and Brooke, with a desire to avoid her talent. She doesn't think her sisters should be using their talents, doesn't believe them about their mates, demons, or Torth. But she got a crash course the hard way when demons attacked her in the parking lot. And running away from her protectors, Ria and Mathias, doesn't work out either. She finally admits it's all real and there is something going on at the water treatment plants, and she is the perfect person to figure it out. But, it's gonna get ugly. Still steamy, action packed and lots of fun.

Okay, first things first: You simply cannot start this series with this book. Wicked Flames is Book 3 in the Solsti Prophecy series. The first two books, Wicked Wind (#1) and Wicked Waves (#2), were really good so why don't you just start with them and then we can BOTH be happy and you can go ahead and finish reading this review? Okay? Okay! But if you're going to be naughty and disobey, I promise that I'll try not to let any spoiler loose! Moving on...!

The heroine, Gin... hmm. Let me be blunt. I effing HATED HER!!! ...for about the first half of the book. She was so weak and cowardly. I'm telling you, I almost gave up on this book because I couldn't stand her useless ass! As you've probably surmised, Gin's power has to do with fire and sure, fire is dangerous. And sure sure, when she was a kid, she scared herself with her powers. But didn't she see her sisters working with their powers and gaining more control over them? She's a very smart woman. Wouldn't she have seen this correlation and been all, "Hey, maybe I should just try practicing a little bit... and maybe then I can have a real stove!" I mean, come on. You don't wanna set shit on fire? Go swimming with a lighter! That way, you can burn anything! Ugh, give me a break! BUT THEN! She makes the most amazing turn around! Gah! All the anger I felt towards her was TOTALLY worth it because she starts seeing that she can help with her powers. Even better? She kind of figures this out on her own! The emotional AND physical journey that Gin goes on in this book was awesome. It made me like her so much more and I can actually admit that her reaction to all of the craziness surrounding the sisters made the most sense. But don't tell anyone I said that...

Mathias, ah poor Mathias. First, I kept picturing Dwayne Johnson from The Scorpion King (because he had the same name) but after I got over that, I actually felt bad for Mathias for most of the book. He's this seriously badass warrior/tracker guy and he's stuck trying to convince Gin that she shouldn't be afraid, etc. Now, Mathias had NO problem with this assignment since Gin is sweet and sexy. But she was also a wuss for a lot of the book. After I got past THAT, Mathias was all kinds of awesome. The thing I liked most about him was how patient and loyal he was. He never got frustrated with Gin. I also loved watching him use his skills as a tracker. It was pretty cool... he could sort of scent people and could break down species and gender and everything. It was fun to see him interacting with his sister, Ria, as well. Which brings me to another thing I loved about Mathias - no matter what was going on, he always had faith in Gin and Ria. Ria could handle herself from the beginning so his faith in her and her abilities was rock solid. And later, as Gin embraced her abilities, he also had unwavering faith in her being able to kick some serious ass. It was particularly nice to see his faith in them rewarded!

Gin and Mathias were great together right from the very first moment when they met on the dance floor. I don't know much about dance but it sounded like they were made for each other. That was probably a teensy bit of foreshadowing from the author since dance is compared to another activity that involves two people moving close together... know what I mean?? ...nudge, nudge, wink, wink... Of course, Gin and Mathias were pretty hot together and they had a good amount of Sexy Time together.

Overall, I loved this book. It started out like maybe I wouldn't like it because I really hated Gin at first for being such a damn coward. But as her character developed and experienced more of the supernatural, she came to realize her singular role in the coming fight. I'm super bummed that that next book in the series isn't out yet - I really don't want to leave this world just yet. Again, I'd recommend this book paranormal and fantasy lovers who have read at least one of the 1st two books in this series. There's magic and demons in this book and they both will captivate you and take you to a place you've never been!

Sweet baby Jesus!! So, first I wanna tell Ms Sharon that I am having a little hate with how she left me at the end of the book, BUT dammit if this one may be the best one of the series yet!! And seriously, I've obsessed over the first two books like a crazy person. This one is quite awesome, because not only the first two sisters though had some issues, they accepted their fates a little better than Gin, who is so freaking stubborn. She ran the whole damn time. LOL But, it's just a great story with a wonderful plot and I am so over the top in love with this series!

Gin is running, she does not want anything to do with her sister's crazy demon stories, and weird powers, and all this nonsense they spout. She is a scientist, and her side passion is dancing and teaching dance. She goes to college for her masters and she likes to be behind a microscope. So when she comes across this totally hot guy who is attracted to her, she doesn't believe he's the real deal. And then things get crazy when crazy bad guys show up to kidnap her, and she is forced to understand that the ish it hitting the fan all around her, and while she wants to run, she's hurting others, as well as continually putting herself in danger. I happened to want to slap Gin, but only for a moment. She would have an inner monologue about how stupid she thought about Brooke and Nicole trying to get her to "come to their side" of demons. And then she says she should have listened to them, when she starts learning all kind of crazy.

When we all met Mathias in Wicked Waves, I liked him, and I knew it was going to be totally interesting around him. He's definitely got a charm that you just can't get past, and when he was sent for Gin, I knew it would be epic. Plus he's got a totally awesome sister and I WOULD LOVE to see Ria get a happy ending with someone too. Mathias rocks. I just needa say that. I'm quite impressed with him, he could almost rival Kai for my affections. And boy does he have some seriously awesome moves in his arsenal, like dancing!! He's having to work overtime with Gin though. When he gets one step ahead, something happens and he's ten steps back. But then he's so calm and understanding even when Gin is almost cruel to him. But, let's just say they've had some of the steamiest romance scenes so far!

Of course, you get to see some side scenes with Brooke, Nicole, Kai, Gunner, of course Ria, and some of the others that you've met before. You also get to meet some new characters. And Rosa, dude she is just awesome. And the three girls find family they never knew they had. This was a shock for me, and then I cried like a baby. So, way to throw characters in there that will blow any predictability out of the water. The plot is unfolding, and we are learning more about the myth of the Solti, and it's amazing with the missing girl we are now seeing something. I'm all a flutter about this but I won't say a word. But just know, this one blew my mind. OMG!!! Plus, let's talk bad guys. I am still not sure exactly what Elegia's up to, but I must say, Ms Sharon has woven the perfect, mysterious, creeptastic bad guy, and she's a CHICK! It's always a bad GUY, but this lady takes bitch to a whole new level. She's freaking creeps me out, and as we go along, we are seeing more of her evil ways, but I can't wait to see what her end game is. I'm still reeling a little bit from this one, but all I can say is that if you haven't read this series yet, you really are missing out. It's amazing. Plus, there's freaking HAWT pieces like EVERYWHERE! :) 5 PAWS, Fiery, winding, wavy, amazing 5 PAWS!! I keep getting surprised by so much in this series and I can't wait to see what comes next!

I received a copy of this story for an honest review for The Reading Room Blog.

If you are a paranormal romance fan and have not checked out Sharon Kay's Solsti Prophecy books (Wicked Wind & Wicked Waves) you are missing out. Full of action, romance, and mystery, this series has me hooked and keeps me on my toes. Wicked Flames: Solsti Prophecy #3 is a great addition to the series and has helped expand Sharon Kay's very unique and wonderful universe.

Gin Bonham is a woman with a plan and that plan has nothing to do with fighting monsters and saving the world according to some silly ancient prophecy that her sisters Nicole and Brooke have bought into. Unfortunately for Gin the Solsti Prophecy is proving to be very, very real and there are multiple forces determined that she has a part to play.

Mathias is the legendary Hunter, a ruthless bloodhound who can find anyone anywhere and then "persuade" them as needed. Gin Bonham is his latest target but when professional and personal lines blur, Mathias will have to determine what comes first - his duty or his heart.

What I Loved: After seeing her sisters accept their power and responsibility so easily in Wicked Wind and Wicked Waves, it was refreshing to see Gin push back. She had dreams of her own and I liked her questioning the reality of the scary world being thrust upon her. Another big like is that Wicked Flames starts out fast and never eases up on the pace. Author Sharon Kay has mastered exciting fight scenes that keep you on edge and cheering for the good guys.

What I Didn't Love: There is A LOT of stuff going on in Wicked Flames. The story is told in multiple POV's and at times I felt that the romance between Gin and Mathias was more of a subplot that the main focus of the story. I would have liked a little more time spent on the pair and a little less on the possible missing Solsti and the scheming villains.

Favorite Quotes:

"She's a Solsti. She doesn't get to opt out. I could give an elf's ass about whether or not she wanted or asked for this. She has a part to play."

"He'd made her happy. And that made him want to pound his chest even more than the scorching hot fuck session they'd just had. He didn't know what that feeling was about or where it came from, but it settled over him like a cloak."

"She was torn between wanting to never to see him again, telling him off, or making him grovel for every word out of his sinful mouth. Every smile. Every kiss... Damn him.

"Power or no power, you're unique. You're capable of amazing shit. And I want you to work with me. I want you."

Wicked Flames is a solid addition to the Solsti Prophecy Series. I'm a big fan of Sharon Kay and the universe of characters and lore that she has created is impressive. Fans of the series will be happy with this newest addition. Wicked Flames should not be read as a stand alone. If you have not read Wicked Wind or Wicked Waves you will be completely lost. Do yourself a favor and go check out the first two books

On Wicked Ground: Solsti Prophecy #4 will release in January 2015 and will focus on the missing Solsti sister Alina and Lash Watcher Caine. I'm looking forward to discovering the mystery behind Alina's separation from her sisters and seeing what happens when they finally reunite.

Happy reading.

I am obsessed with this series! I feel that Ms.Kay has found the perfect balance between action and romance with this third book in her Solsti Prophecy series. I loved the prior books as well but felt that the sex overshadowed the fantastic world she'd built for her characters. This time around, it was just right. Each book in this series can't stand on its own. There are a lot of characters, different species, and some secrets that started in book one are slowly rolled out and revealed as each book comes out. To read them out of order would mean spoiling quite a few story lines.

Out of all the couples so far, I think I love Gin and Mathias just a little more than the others. Gin wasn't as bad as I thought she might be after reading about her from her sisters' POVs. I feared that she was going to be a timid heroine with a stubborn streak to rival those of Nicole and Brooke. That wasn't the case. Her character arc was so well developed that I understood why she had wanted to distance herself from the crazy world her sisters had embraced, and why she feared her abilities so much. It was very well explained, and above all, believable. I loved her spunk when it showed. I think my favorite thing about her was that she was a brainiac, but she was also very sensual. As for Mathias, where should I even begin? He's a demon, he's sexy, protective, but what I loved about him most of all were his communication skills (when he wasn't omitting the truth about who and what he was in the beginning). Actually, they both were quite mature about talking to one another throughout the story and each of them showed a nice amount of confidence around each other. He was also incredibly encouraging and sensitive when it came to helping her with her power. Their relationship progressed as naturally as it could under the circumstances. It wasn't too fast, and she wasn't exactly shy or guarding her heart against a past hurt. The sex was off the charts hot. Ms. Kay sure knows how to write some intense love-making scenes. The paranormal aspect always delivers a healthy dose of heat and *cough* size.
“You’re so big.”

That wasn’t the first time he’d heard that. Some females couldn’t take his entire length. He hooked one arm under her leg, lifting it wide. Her sex glistened in the dim light. Hell, she was ready. “I’ll go slow.”

There was no shortage of action in this third installment, and all of it exciting, very descriptive that I could picture every single moment. There wasn't a boring moment that made me want to skip ahead; one event flowed into the next at a good and steady pace. It took me a moment to catch on to one seemingly out of place POV until the truth smacked me in the face. I hope the next story will involve The Thief and Caine. I'm positively giddy to find out how The Thief ended up where she did, and how the Solsti will react. My only (minor) complaint was the over-use of Gin's unique scent.

If you've enjoyed Larissa Ione's Demonica series, Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series, or Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series, then this series is for you. I highly recommend checking out this series.

Wicked Flames is the third installment of the Solsti Prophecy series. We’ve heard of the sister in denial. The one who has the explosive gift, Gin.She is on a mission to finish her degree and change the world for the good. Only, her saving the world starts with Agriculture Science, not with her special powers.

The leader of the Lash Demons has sent Mathias, aka “The Hunter”, to talk some sense into the Solsti. She has to understand that to save the world from the evil coming they will need all four of the Solsti together. Gin, however, is not having any of this crazy crap. I mean seriously, they call their home Demon central. Really. Demons, other worlds, MATES. This is the real world people. Psh, she doesn’t really think Brooke and Nicole are crazy. She just doesn’t have time for all that.

Except Gin can’t escape the life she was destined for. I mean if it’s destiny, it will be. It comes crashing into her life and if not for the foresight of the Lash demons, she may have been lost.

This was just another job to Mathias. What he didn’t expect to find was a woman who sets him on fire. Literally and figuratively speaking, Gin could do that. She just might literally set him on fire after the way Mathias worked his way into her life. Let’s not forget the best friend that lied as well. She’s fighting mistrust on all sides. With no choice but to use the curse she was given, and trust these two, she becomes one with the flame.

“ I’m your personal Zippo, remember?”

It seems that these two were meant to be a team. That doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. With her fiery attitude and Mathias’s fighting skills these two embark on one heck of a journey. Finally, coming to terms with the world as it really is, Gin finally meets back up with her sisters and the new members of her family. She has powerful forces behind her. She just might make some good changes in the world.

Ms. Kay weaves this world so wonderfully. From each book to the next, the story continues flawlessly. It’s like you never really left. Her kickass female leads mesh wonderfully with the strong lash demon leads. All the while never sacrificing either personality. She has a way of making it entertainingly sexy and don’t forget adventurous.

She has successfully hooked me for the next book. She worked some magical mystery into this installment to prepare us for the next Solsti. “On Wicked Ground” I can’t wait to see how this all plays out.

Wicked Flames gets 4 flaming stars. Well done.

So if you have kept up with this amazing series you will know that this is one of those that has kept you on your toes and once it is over you will be impatiently waiting for the next one. Well when this one finally came out I was extactic because Gin has been the sister that has never wanted her gift, unlike her sisters, and always looked at it like a curse. She knows it exists and due to her sisters telling her everything she understands what is going on but up until this point she has always looked the other way. My main question was how was the author going to play this character into the story line without it seeming odd. Let me tell you she definitely outdid herself in my opinion, and that is big because I seriously loved the second novel. When Mathias or “the hunter” is sent in to go and try making her understand the urgency that the sisters need her help. Things start to flame up quite literally between these two. You begin to understand why Gin decided against using what she was giving through this novel! I loved how these two had such a tension between themselves that it was humorous and sexy at the same time. And yes the scenes are sexy and hot!!!

The author has built her characters with such an appease to her readers that they will be coming back for more just to find out what is the next installment. Now that I am done reading Wicked Flames I am anxious to see what else she has in store for the future. Each of the Lash demons are sexy, hardcore, loyal to the cause, but have a sensitive side when they find that one firecracker that they fall for. If you haven’t already noticed her covers are perfectly based off what the novel entails including the hot demon. And each of the Solsti sisters have been a handful that these poor demons have had to turn over time and again (trust me they are a stubborn bunch). They are all unique and have their own personality that adds more to each of her characters and storyline. Overall, I have to say this series is definitely one of a kind and has been one of the best series I have read! After reading all three of this series I have to say that it is flawless in the flow of the plot and you don’t feel like your being left out by a gap. If you want to pick up a hot paranormal romance with something more than just sexy hot scenes but some adventure and action trust me this series has it all!!! Don’t forget to check out Wicked Wind and Wicked Waves!!!

To say that Gin Bonham is stubborn may be the understatement of the century. She is a Solsti like her sisters Brooke and Nicole, but she wants nothing to do with her role. Nicole and Brooke have embraced their power and have chosen to follow their destiny. Gin sees her ability to manipulate fire as a curse, she doesn’t have time for demons and their problems; she wants a normal life helping humans. Mathias is a Lash demon with abilities as a hunter. He is also very gifted at persuasion, and it is his mission to get Gin on their side.

I enjoyed getting to know Gin’s character. In past books I think I really misjudged her. Aside from unconditional love for her sisters, I found her to be distant and maybe a bit selfish. As it turns out she is beautiful, witty, headstrong, and extremely intelligent. All that holds Gin back is fear. Mathias is a warrior and a hunter. He is sexy, dangerous, and completely charming. In the beginning he is all business, and perhaps a little harsh. I loved the way Gin wrapped this hardened hunter around her little pinky!

Sharon Kay is one of my must read authors now, and the Solsti Prophecy is one of my favorite series. Since the first novel Wicked Wind it seems like Kay can do no wrong! She reels you in with stories full of sex, passion, danger and excitement. Her writing is so detailed and imaginative, especially when she takes you from earth and into Torth. I can see the landscape of these unique and dangerous realms along with the various creatures vividly in my mind’s eye! Kay also gives us characters we care about, they never get old. It thrills me to see all of my favorites return and I want more! When I read the last page of Wicked Flame, I was so excited, because I knew there was more to come. In another sense I was losing my mind because Kay left with a twist in the tale, and I don’t know how long I can wait to see what’s next.

Every now and then a reader settles down into a series they hope will be around for a while. For me, this is one of those times. I don’t want the Solsti Prophecy to be over anytime soon. I also want Sharon Kay to send me a Lash demon to call my own!

I have been anxiously awaiting Gin’s story ever since she was first introduced. The fact that she doesn’t embrace her gifts, or curse as she sees it, makes her that much more intriguing. Especially since her sisters, Nicole and Brooke, have whole heartedly thrown themselves into mastering their powers and using them to fight “evil”. I just knew she had to have a juicy story or reason behind her decision, and I was not disappointed! Of course I’m not going to spoil that for you, you’ll just have to read and find out all the details for yourselves ;)

So clearly this isn’t just a story about Gin coming to terms with her abilities, there has to be a bit of romance thrown in there too… and it’s a good one! Enter Mathias Hunter. I loved the steady progression of Gin and Mathias’ relationship. I’m not a fan of insta-love so I really appreciate all the details of dates and stolen glances and growing emotions, which is exactly what happened here. Mathias, or Hunter as he’s known in the supernatural world, is probably my favorite male in the series. Everything about him is just so appealing. He can dance, says all the right things and acts on impulse as far as Gin is concerned. I absolutely adore them together; their personalities complement each other so well.

Even though each of the sisters has their own books (Wicked Winds and Wicked Waves) we haven’t heard the last of them. They each play an integral part in each other’s stories so it’s only natural and fitting that they continue to be present in each book as the story grows and their powers strengthen. I personally can’t wait to see how it all plays out as the mystery of the 4th sister comes to light .

Each book in this series just gets better and better than the last. Ms. Kay does an amazing job with the story building and creates such elaborate worlds and detailed backgrounds for each of the characters and places mentioned in her books. The story flows perfectly and the writing is flawless, something I’ve come to expect from this author. I would without a doubt, highly recommend the Solsti Prophecy Series!

In the third book of the Solsti Prophecy series, we meet the third Solsti sister, Gin Bonham, and we already met Matthias, a very gifted Lash demon warrior, in the last book. Gin controls the element of fire and she’s terrified of it, so much so that she refuses to use it. Mathias and his sister, Ria, pretend to be human and befriend her to keep her safe.
Matthias is different from most Lash demons because he’s an excellent tracker and can find anyone or anything. He does a lot of undercover work and he’s not afraid of getting his hands dirty.
Ria is a vibrant, strong, wonderful character and I love her interactions with her brother. They have total respect and trust for one another, and it’s refreshing to see a brother treat his little sister as an equal, not as someone he has to protect or put double standards on.
Though I enjoyed this book, I couldn’t connect with the heroine, Gin. I liked her stubbornness and her willingness to help others and do good, but she downright refused to listen to reason and blamed Matthias and Ria when they tried to help her. Her sisters, Nicole and Brooke, have told her so much about various magical creatures but she just zoned them out and ended up in trouble as a result.
The romance bloomed quickly between Matthias and Gin. Their connection and chemistry drew them together and made them inseparable in the beginning, but then everything went bad. When they came back together, their connection grew and their love for one another strengthened.
I loved all the scenes with the side characters and I especially couldn’t stop smiling when Brooke and Nicole found out about their link to Ashina and Ranerio.
There were a few editing issues but I could overlook them. Nothing major. I’m definitely anxious to read the last book in this series and I can’t wait to start on the spinoff series.
