When you have a specific issue in your life, you need a specific strategy. We all have things in our past that can derail our futures if we don't learn how to overcome them. Strongholds and emotional attachments we allow in our lives--passed down to us from the culture, our education, and even our families--that can keep us going in circles. In her powerful style, Cindy Trimm identifies the spiritual setbacks we experience and provides practical biblically based techniques and strategies for securing your breakthrough.
There is a spiritual war going on for your future. The Rules of Engagement for Overcoming Your Past is a manual to help you effectively wage every battle. Using the authority you have been given by God, you can break free from...
Dr. Cindy Trimm is a sought-after empowerment specialist, revolutionary thinker, and transformational leader. She has earned a distinguished reputation as a catalyst of change and voice of hope to the nations.
As an author, Dr. Trimm has repeatedly topped bestsellers lists with what have become renown classics, such as: Commanding Your Morning, The 40 Day Soul Fast, The Rules of Engagement for Overcoming Your Past, and Prevail: Discover Your Strength in Hard Places.
This book is very clear and compact though not very comprehensive despite of beginning with defining basic Christian concepts such as repentance, confession, soul ties, overcoming and being born again. Unfortunately I found her given solutions to the issues stated in the book more idealistic than practical though she did give a couple of practical solutions including joining a church. Cindy Trimm is the only spiritual leader so far that has influenced concrete changes and breakthrough in my life but yet I find myself slightly disappointed with the book. Apart from her in-depth analysis of the orphan spirit I can't find anything too new and groundbreaking in the book. She's mostly leaning on to simple, idealistic solutions that are vastly covered in Christian literature (forgiveness, courage, gratitude, prayer) that are often easier said than done and HEARD BEFORE. My point is that despite my high expectations I don't think she dug deep enough compared to her previous Rules Of Engagement for example. It's an inspiring page-turner read within a week or two but I wish it had more coverage.
This was an outstanding book by Cindy Trimm. The first four chapters really set the groundwork for the remainder of the book. If you have ever been abused, rejected, abandoned, or betrayed, this is the book that will set you free from the yoke of bondage that is choking the life out of you. Chapter 5 talks about this thing called an "orphan spirit," and how you can break from it by being adopted by God (Chapter 6 to the end). This is by far one of the best books I've read this year.
Wonderful book. This book has some amaizing truths. The author does a soul laiser scan that will allow you to see the world clearly as you deal with soul issues especially in relation to pain. Greatly recommend it for those that have gone through a lot of pain especially from the lost os a loved one or something. This book helped me I can now see the world clearly when it comes to dealing with past pains.
This is another life altering book , by Cindy Trimm . This book is packed full of truth that had me taking notes and seeing myself in a better light. A true self help book for Christians that truly want to change their behavior and model true Christian behavior , not to please anyone but for God and themselves . Everything else will fall into line.
Great practical applications and fundamental truths in this book. Easy to read and filled with great practical advice and life tools to deal with the past.
I highly recommend this book to all reader's. This book will not only encourage you but help you grow in many areas of your life, that we struggle with on a day to day basis.
This book is for anyone who is mentally trapped. It breaks down the ways to free yourself and be intentionally. Knowing God’s word and who he is are the keys to overcoming your past!
Trimm has done a good job of giving readers the tools to deal with past hurts. It takes rewiring our mind and retraining our thinking. She deals with many issues, shame, repentance, overcoming rejection, etc. I found her writing on spiritual orphans to be enlightening. She is a little bit too much of creating your own future for me but otherwise a good book. See my complete review at http://bit.ly/1lFRynr. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher for the purpose of an independent and honest review.
