In need of a distraction from her best friend's betrayal, Talia jumps at the chance to pack up and head to Washington, D.C., to have a purpose once again. She is tasked with administering the annual Talent Aptitude Tests, analyzing the children of the nation’s capital to identify those with powers. She knows that the Mandatory testing laws are controversial, but is still shocked by the protesters lining the streets of the city, and the curfew imposed upon its residents. These add fuel to her own misgivings about the Agency and its Director, the man who raised her.

As if Talia doesn’t have enough on her plate with that, the Director assigns her a task that will expose his dirtiest secrets. She soon learns that it isn't the children who are tested she needs to be concerned about; it's the ones who aren't. And when she encounters a face from her past, Talia must confront her toughest decision yet. Following her heart will put Talia and those closest to her in mortal danger. But the consequences of doing nothing are inconceivable.

The one bright spot in Talia’s new assignment is having her boyfriend, Erik, by her side. Because not only is Erik a source of comfort, but he is also as determined as she is to uncover the secrets behind the mysterious illness still plaguing her. Day after day, Talia never knows when she might be overcome by one of her unexplained seizures; she must pierce the veils of secrecy covering their origin, before someone decides she knows too much.

Life altering choices will be made. Loyalties will be tested. When the war begins, which side will Talia choose?

Another fantastic sequel to one of my favourite series ever, if there was one word I would use to describe this series it would be addictive. I can't get enough of this story especially when Sophie writes endings that just leave you hanging and gasping for the next book.

She never fails to amaze me with how high quality her books are. I have yet to find one fault with these books. The standard she works to in every one of her books is immense. Her hard-work and effort really comes through. Talented is such a complex, twisted, and captivating series and I love it.

In this third instalment Talia is chosen by Mac- the director of Toxic, to accompany him to choose the people with significant talents as potential school students. And in this book her and Erik finally solve the conspiracy that is Toxic, Talia find out what her seizures actually are and Donavan's secretes are spilled.

It is fair to say that the truth surfaces in this fast paced, intense and thrilling third installmemt of the Talented series.

“He leaned towards me again, resting his chin just above my collarbone. His breath tickled my neck, and every tiny hair on my body stood on end as he whispered, “I love you,” into my ear.

“I love you too,” I croaked hoarsely, so overcome by emotion that I was surprised the words were audible.”

Excerpt From: Davis, Sophie. “Hunted (Talented #3).” iBooks.

Erik and Talia really grow as people in this book, they realise that Toxic is literally toxic a corrupt organisation that manipulates the beliefs of others to gain loyalty. Their faith and the trust they have in each other is tested but they pull through. I fell in love with the characters all over again in this sequel.
Every book just gets better and better. Sophie is a consistent writer and a reliable author. Her work and her wording and writing not only make a great book but allows you to connect with the characters, the writing the whole story.

The cliffhanger she stuck there at the end, well lets just say I CANNOT WAIT for the next one!
Amazing book, amazing series which is written by an amazing writer.

Thank you for allowing me to read this sequel in exchange for a review. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am waiting anxiously for the next. I have no choice but to give this 5 BIG BIG stars.

Be ready for anything.

In the latest instalment, Sophie Davis holds nothing back - Talia and the gang are on a rollercoaster, orchestrated by Toxic and their personal decisions...and peril awaits on the other side of the void.

Toxic is precariously wavering on the edge of war. The people aren't happy with their laws, regulations and methods - and they're not afraid to speak up, and even rebel. Mac refuses to allow Talia to have anything to do with the fights, putting on the facade that everything is ok. Life is still normal.

But for Talia, 'normal' died along with Penny. Normal died along with her parents. Normal died when Talia was almost fatally hurt, leading to her having to rely on special injections to block out the mood swings, pain and delusions.

Nothing is normal in the life of a Talented.

With Erik by her side - her 'tower of strength' - Talia makes the decision to find out the truth behind Toxic. Behind everything. To uncover the secrets that are being kept from her, no matter the cost. And some of these secrets will shock you, the dead will return and the living will regret their decisions and some relationships will never be the same.

One thing is for certain - change is coming. And Talia is in the thick of it.

This book blew my mind - so until I piece my thoughts together and get over the ending and my OTP, I'll have to ask you to be patient with me...review to come!!!

Pre-Reading Review:

Can I just start off by saying that that is a killer title?! A round of applause for the great title + awesome cover image!

Now, for the story.

I'm. So. EXCITED!! I sincerely hope we get a whole lot of Donovan rejection happening. He likes to do the whole 'puppy-eyes-please-let-me-love-you' crap, which our brave heroine obviously doesn't give two rats about, seeing she's with ERIK *squeal*. So, Talia should give out some key lines to Donovan, like:

or even:

And now...I have...to wait...until...the book...comes out...to read...more...ERIK.

And for all you Donovan-Talia (of Dalia/Tonovan) shippers...I don't understand you, but I am willing to be friends or passing acquaintances. ;D Just kidding - ship whomever you want!! Just be sure to read the upcoming book in this amazing series!!

Reeling from the execution of her best friend, Natalia Lyons decides to accompany Mac to Washington DC. Mac will be overseeing the Talent Aptitude Testing and Talia will be assisting in the administration of the test.

Happy for the distraction and anxious to be reunited with Erik, Talia embarks on this new journey only to find huge fissures in what she has considers truth and morally right. With each discovering, shocking revelations are exposed. Talia must decide where her loyalties lie. Who can she truly trust? What horrible truths are still not uncovered?

Sophie Davis completely brings to life this incredible world where some of the human population develops “talents”, paranormal abilities, and the power struggle to control these abilities. Davis twisted in the perfect amount of action, romance, heart ache, friendships, family and witty banter to create an astonishing trip into the lives of her fabulous characters.

I was sucked in from the very beginning, feeling deeply for the characters and the choices they are making and facing. At times my heart clenched, I laughed and cheered at Talia’s strength, I celebrated and was shocked by the revelations and was plastered to the pages.

Hunted is the 3rd installment in the Talented Saga. I have read and loved Talented and Caged but Hunted absolutely blew me away! Hunted is truly an incredible work of young adult fiction that happily engulfed me.

Hunted will be released November 2012!

This ARC copy of Hunted was given to me by Sophie Davis in exchange for an honest review.

Hunted begins a few weeks after the end of Caged, book 2 in the series.

At the start of this book Talia believes she has been betrayed in the worst possible way by someone she called a friend. She thinks that this person was connected to Ian Crane, the man she has been training all her life to kill. She thinks this person has been executed and that her life can begin to get back to normal. But what is normal? What is the truth? Will Talia ever find out the truth or is she destined to go through life being lied to?

Talia is still receiving daily injections to counteract the effects of whatever Ian Crane injected her with near the end of book 1, Talented. These injections, she has been told, are to stave off the seizures she has been suffering, a side effect of the injection supposedly. But is this also a lie?

In this story Talia is taken by Mac, director of the McDonough school, to assist him in administering the annual Talent Aptitude Test, performed on all children reaching the age of 5. If these tests show that a child has a Talent then they are taken to the school to learn how to cope with that talent, and how to enhance and use it for the benefit of Toxic.

Due to her abilities Talia is told she is one of the best people to assist in administering the tests. She is paired up with Erik again, a fact which she is very happy about due to their mutual feelings for each other.

Talia is having second thoughts about all she has been told by Mac and others from Toxic. She allows a sample of her blood to be taken and tested, unknown to Mac. She anxiously awaits the results, but before she can get those she is sent on another mission.

This mission opens up a whole new world to Talia and Erik. What they find out on this mission confirms some of her fears, but what happens after it is something even she was not expecting.

Talia is beginning to find out part of the truth, but is she prepared to go all the way to find out the whole truth? And what is it that has her go to the one person she hates most in the world to gain their help? Is the truth finally about to come out?

The book finishes on another cliffhanger, one which I cannot wait to see played out when book 4 comes out this summer. I for one will have it on my preorder as soon as I can.

I started getting really annoyed with all of the characters in this book. I mean it is soooo obvious everything that is happening and has been since the last book and yet no one can put two and two together. Talia is just incredibly stubborn and refuses to use her brain at all, and Erik...well I just expected him to be able to think clearer than Talia and actually be able to figure stuff out. I mean they are all supposed to be super smart and capable, but then they cannot figure anything out unless someone hands them the info on a silver platter! Ridiculous! I still enjoyed it, but not as much as the first or second book. They have been slowly going downhill for me and making me more annoyed. In the first book I said okay whatever. The second book I was like alright we are going to start thinking for ourselves now right? No? Really? Then this one is just more no I refuse to think about anything that might upset me I am going to put my fingers in my ears and la la la so I can keep living in this little dream world until I am absolutely forced not to. I expected more from the characters and didn't get it.

I was gifted this book from the author because I think she was onto my stalking habits for her series.
I can’t tell you how excited I was to see this next book out. This is one of my favorite series and Ms. Davis is not one to disappoint in any way at all.
Talia and Erik have been sent on an assignment to help find Talented children that should be getting prepared to go to their school. The Coalition has been causing quite a bit of chaos for everyone. Talia is still trying to figure out what is wrong with her and trying to deal with the loss of her friend Penny and the guilt she feels over it. She starts questioning those around her as to how honest they are being with her and what secrets they may be hiding, hindering her from being well.
This story grabs ahold of you and refuses to let you go. I can’t get enough of the Talented series for the life of me. Every emotion possible to feel in this story, you are going to experience so be prepared to be angry, happy, sad, worried, on the edge of your seat and overwhelmed with love.

I won a paperback copy of this book from this amazing author and I am smacking myself for not starting it sooner! I have one word for this book.....SHOCKER!!! Like shock after shock, secret after secret. My heart and head were bursting. With each new instalment in the series I get more and more invested in the story and characters. This series is an addiction!! This series has at all.... romance, action, mystery and conspiracies, OH GOD!! It's really almost too much to handle.
I'm loving the characters, well except for that one asshat. As we find out more about each of them the plot thickens. I really don't know what else to say besides everyone needs to read this series. I need more! I'm going to go into a book coma if I don't get more soon!

OMG!!! amazing!

Holy Be-jezus!!!!

What a great book! It picked up right where Caged left off and took us on a wild ride, where Talia’s world has literally been turned upside down! Any suspicions and questions I had in the first two books were substantiated in this book and then some. I was left with my mouth hanging open and clawing at the sheets when it ended.

I have – and I’m not ashamed to admit this – begged the author for book #4.

It’s. That. Good!

I can’t really say much else without spoiling anything, which I REFUSE to do. All I will say is that this series is amaze-balls!

Pick it up. Go! Now!!!

This series just gets better and better, there are so many secrets and layers, but finally I get a lot of answers and then I get a few more questions which is fine cause I am so ready to back into this world and see the magic that is the Talented series unfold.
The lies and betrayal in this story run deep and at this point besides Talia and Erik I don`t know who to trust anymore, good is bad, bad is good, and it seems everything is being turned on it`s head, I feel for Talia her whole world is falling apart, but I am ready to see her come back to her kick ass self, the girl I fell in love with at the beginning I know she has suffered but I miss her, but I know she will come out the other end victorious, she is armed with the truth now and I believe that to be a very powerful weapon. There has been a lot of build up and I can not wait to see where it leads in the next book, I feel some epicness coming my way (No pressure Sophie lol) I am so glad to see Talia and Erik`s relationship grow and stay strong, I know she will save him and I know things will be great for them and if that does not happen I am pretending it did. I am very glad I was right about Penny, I enjoy her a lot and I like what she does for Talia and I hope now that so much is discovered and out in the open she Penny will be more honest with Talia and their friendship will be stronger.
I know I have said it but DAMN I can`t wait to read more, and not just more Talented but more Sophie Davis, I love her writing and I love this series so if you have not got on the Talented wagon then jump on LAMOS cause this series is Amazeballs!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Hunted" is a wonderfully great addition to the Talented Saga. Talia has been ordered to go on a mission with the Director for the mandatory testing of children. Erik is scheduled to be there and she is hoping that she can spends some quality time with him over the three week duration of the exams. Talia's emotions continue to fluctuate all over the place especially after the execution of her BFF, Penny.

Prior to leaving for the mission, Donovan finally realizes he and Talia will never be more than friends. He bitterly accepts her relationship with Erik. Candence is accompanying Mac and the gang to the testing and Talia is not pleased. The group is met by angry protesters. During the testing Talia is faced with the unscrupulous testing techniques on five year old kids. Additionally, there is a major bombing at one of Toxic's testing facilities and Talia is not allowed to go fight.

There are many really great twists and turns in this book
as well as several surprises. One thing for sure, Talia is at a crossroad and any decision she makes will change her life forever.

I enjoyed this book tremendously; much better than book two. The writing seemed more focused with the end result in mind and oh what an end it promises to be. I cannot wait for the fourth and final book, "Created." It is scheduled to be released soon. Pick up this series and enjoy the ride.

"Hunted" by Sophie Davis is the third in her Talented Saga and is another strong book by this talented author.
Set in a world where children with special talents (telepathy for example) are trained in the Agency, our heroine Tala is assigned to assist in a talent testing project. The Agency is under constant threat by its enemies and Tala in particular is a target.
All the while there is Tala's slightly complicated love life, beautifully set up in the previous books and portrayed delicately and in a pleasantly understated way. The romance segment is a particular strong point in this book, as are some other conflicts Tala experiences. With some unexpected secrets being uncovered the suspense and the pace keep the reader glued to the book.
This is a very entertaining read, Davis knows how to keep the series fresh and exciting, this is not a repetition of formula. Some issues remain open for the next book to come. Tala has grown a lot since the first book and is now a stronger character from the first book. It is fun to watch a character and a series to grow when it is done so well. The book contains references to sex but is suitable for mature teenagers and should please the fans of fantasy and supernatural/ paranormal books.
I am looking forward to the next book in this elegant and well written series.

WOW. Im am amazed. I am in shock. I cannot wait for the fourth book to come out this summer!!! I am absolutely in love with this series and this author!!! I think this was the best one so far. It was non stop action, love and drama! Its got more of a cliff hanger than the others but is just as satisfying.
Check out my review:
http://beautysinbreakdown.blogspot.co...

One of the great parts about this book, was that I felt like more of my questions, if not all of my questions were answered. Yet even though they were answered by the end, it was not as the book didnt go anywhere, instead the culmination of all the information that leads the reader into the purpose of the last book. I am really looking forward to the last book!!!

This book was my favorite, I was addicted to the book, I seriously could not put it down. And Im pretty sure that I was dreaming about the book after I finished!

I loved the twists and turns that this book too with everyone involved from Erik to Penny to Donovan to Mac it was so amazing. And Erik and Talia werent the only ones who'd relationship and characters changed and grew.

WOW, Just when you thought this series didn't have anymore twist and turn your are proven wrong. I absolutely loved this book. One of the best books i have read in a while. This book kept my interest the entire time. I was bummed to see it end. This book had me guessing what what going to happen next and then when i thought i new what was going to happen i was hit with another shocker. The book will make you smile, laugh, cry and yell. If you loved the first 2 "Talented" and "Caged" as much as i did you will love this book just as much. I can not wait for the next one.

One of the best series i have ever read. I would recommend this series to any young adult.
This book does have some adult situations but does not go into detail on those situations.

GREAT BOOK!!!!

I purchased this as an ebook from Amazon.

I think this is my favorite book of the series so far (who knows book 4 could blow this away). This book was full of mystery and suspense and Secrets are posed. Absolutely loved the book now I just need to wait for Book 4 to be released.

Loved the book so much I couldn't put it down finished it at 1.30am when I had a 6am start only got just over 4 hours sleep. So worth feeling exhausted over ;)

Now reality was preventing me from finishing what I started.   While the injection put me at ease, the unfortunate truth was that I was sick, and with every passing day I became more and more convinced that my condition was permanent.

Unbelievable book! I am at a complete loss for words after reading this book.  I liked that you were able to learn more about Talia's relationship with Erik throughout this book. I also liked that this books continues with the suspense of Talia trying to find more about who she is and figuring who she can trust. There were so many gripping moments throughout this book that will leave you completely shocked (which of course I can't go into detail about). I have to say that Hunted has been my favorite so far in this series. This book is emotionally charged and will leave you completely breathless and desperately in need for the next book in the series. (Yes, I would suggest that you have the next book ready to read).

10*s. I purchased my copy of this story from amazon.com and I am ready to give my honest opinion. This is an awesomely invigorating story that caught me off guard and wanting to read more of it. I am still in love with these remarkable characters and the trials and tribulations they face in this story. Its a MUST read YA story that adults will love to sink their teeth into. I loved this book from beginning to end. The only part I didn't like was the ending and all of my questions that are yet unanswered. I am super excited to read book four of this wonderful and delightfully entertaining series. Thank you, Sophie Davis, for another look into the world of Natalia Lyons!!!

So far this is my favorite.
The writing was great, the storyline outstanding. I read this book right after I finished Caged, and I could not put it down until I was through. (two books one day)
I wish Donavan would grow some balls and stand up for himself.
I do would like to know what Gretchen's whole input on her husbands "job" is.
I knew that Penny was the prisoner from the train and I am glad they got her back and I am glad she is alive. I was thinking though that Harris would escape with them, maybe they will get him in book 4 (since he is probably in the same Jail as Erik)
I have loved every page of it and I can't wait until the fourth book will be out.

Wow! This book finally answered some questions. What was wrong with Talia? Who was the boy in the picture? Will Talia ever stand up for whats right? Will Erik ever get to see his family? Why was Penny so adamant that Talia give Crane a chance? Is TOXIC as horrible as some people think it is? Talia's powers continue to grow, as does the love she shares with Erik, and the animosity with Mac. I was blown away by all that happened in this book... yet not nearly satisfied enough because I need to know what happens next!!!!! Arg!!

I thought this was great book. I won't say to much don't want to spoil it for others. But I will say some questions I had got answered only to have more questions at the end. Talia's world gets turned upside down. Things she thought were the truth are not in fact that. Looking forward to the 4th book.

This book series keeps getting better! The question that is mostly asked is who to trust? Sometimes it's those who are most unlikely.

Natalia Lyons learns this in this thrilling novel. She will be betrayed, find out secrets and realize that her life is a lie.

Overall, I really liked this novel and thought it was really good. I was really intrigued by it and can't wait to read the last book!

Hunted was amazing!!! It was a complete rollercoaster for Talia and the reader. I was so saddened by Penny's supposed execution and Talia's condition that I wanted to scream. Davis did an excellent job in making me dislike Mac throughout all of the series and in Hunted I wanted to throttle him. SPOILER*****I hope he gets what's coming to him in Created and I hope Talia is the one who delivers it. I hate to say that I'd take great pleasure in watching Talia rip into his mind and ultimately kill him. However, I have a feeling that Davis is going to keep Talia from turning into a blood-thirsty killer. I hope that Talia does get the chance to kill him, but it will be in self-defense. I also wonder what will happen to Alex; will Talia raise him if Donovan dies? Or perhaps find out that she can have children after all. It broke my heart when it was revealed that she couldn't have kids. I think Donovan will be a great ally for the group since he knows what's going on in Toxic. I hope that he has the chance to confront his father. *****END SPOILER

Hunted lived up to all my expectations, and confirmed everything I had already guessed in the last 2 books. That didn't diminish from the fun though. Talia struggled for control this entire book (for reasons that are revealed at the end); and it made me sad and frustrated at the same time. She had gone from being such a strong character in Talented, and now was spiraling out of control, even though it wasn't her fault. However, I loved the ending with her taking back her own power of choice and becoming a much stronger girl than she ever had been. I believe that Davis did this because Talia had to experience betrayal and all the ugliness of what was happening and learn to take control and break out of the cage she had always lived in. I believe in Created we are going to see the true Talia, with all of her power, beliefs, and heart making her a force that can't be broken.

I also noticed that as stated the book had been edited. I haven't read the first version, but grammatical mistakes always catch my attention and I didn't notice anything that detracted from the sheer enjoyment of the book.

Davis is definitely going to be on my list of authors to watch closely. She has demonstrated remarkable talent throughout this series and I can hardly wait to read Created!!!!!

I received this book to give an honest review.

Sophie has done it again. You are taken into the world full of action and drama like no other. Talia is still "sick" and it doesn't seem like there is a cure. But what is really making her sick? Mac the director is wanting Talia to come and aid with the placement test that that children at the age of 5 have to take every year. Failure to do so well lets just say it is best to comply. Mac really does seem to be losing it within this story he is starting to crack and we see his true colors.
Now Talia she is started to become more angry with little things, and she isn't sure why? She is also beginning to question the Agency and what they are really doing.
Erik is Talia's shining light through all of this, he wants to help her through everything and is still so loving of her even though she has her issues.
Now with this story we are learning more about the Agency and what their main mission may be with those with Talents and it is all too much for Talia. She has been lied to enough and she is going to do something drastic! There was a big moment in the book that I didn't even think to see coming but it was a oh wow! Well lets just say there was two big moments.
Secrets are going to surface and who will be hurt by them?
Talia has really grown into a very strong character who I really enjoy reading about. I even could by pass her outburst that she would have over jealousy.
There is so much going on within this book that this is a story you can for sure get lost in. I can not wait to read book 4 and see what is going to happen with Talia is she ever going to get the answers and truth she deserves? What is going to happen to those close to her? Heck what is even going to happen with the Agency? All these questions that I need/want the answers to.
If you enjoy the paranormal/drama/a great story line then you have to get your hands on this series. It is a a must read.

Great job Ms. Davis! Hunted was yet another great addition to the Talented saga and it's my favourite book so far! I absolutely devoured this book in a few nightly reading sessions until the wee hours of the morning.

Firstly, I think what I liked about this book more than the previous ones was the plot. This is because, contrary to Talented and Caged, Hunted contained one or two plot surprises, that I did not expect (although now that I look back on them, they were quite obvious, but oh well. I was too enthralled in the book to think logically and properly understand what was going on).

Secondly, I loved the romance that flourished between Talia and Erik. It progressed at a steady pace and seemed natural (considering the conditions the characters are under). Although the couple would get on each others nerves, it made my heart flutter when one character to soothe the upset feelings of the other.

Lastly, although others may see the self-destruction of Talia as annoying, I quite liked it. It's because it gave me a sense of pride to see Talia suffer from the execution sentencing of her best friend; the heartbreak from Donavon; and develop into a strong girl that will eventually fight the bad guys and hopefully rescue a loved one.

With that being said, I definitely would recommend this saga to anyone who may be on the fence about reading this. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next to Talia and her friends in the novella and Created!

I love the Talented series!! Each one is new and exciting. Sophie Davis has done a great job creating the world for these books. Everything is so easy to imagine as if you were right there in the story.

The romance between Erik and Natalia is so sweet and only heats up in this book. I love how dedicated they are to each other even in the midst of danger.

The story was action packed and full of tension that practically jumped of the pages. I was intrigued by all the twists and turns the plot took. There were so many things about Toxic that culminated at the end of this book. It left you with an insight to what was really happening in the war between Ian Crane and Toxic.

Sophie, I am so mad at you! How could you leave such a cliffhanger?? Now I will have to wait forever to find out what happens! You better be writing book four fast:) I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

I'm in love with this series! I'm not much into anything remotely dystopian or futuristic, but these books are amazing. Sophie Davis is a talented author and I can't wait for her future works. I'm so glad I was given a copy of this book for review.

This YA paranormal romance pulls out all the stops and pushes all the boundaries. I am giving this book five fantastic stars because I am in awe of the story that unfolds! I highly recommend this series.
