For many generations, the Crownley's always had two sons and a daughter. So when twin daughters are born to the Crownley family, it's regarded as a very bad omen. When six years pass, the third child is born...another daughter. Powers that have not been gifted for many generations begin to emerge within these girls and it attracts the attention of people all over the kingdom. Magical artefacts thought to be legend resurface. And stories told to children begin to have a ring of truth. So what purpose could three incredibly different sisters from a tiny village possibly have? And what is truly more important, magic or sisterhood?
Having your older and then your younger sister show their abilities and you the middle child shows no ability. Then on your 21st year here they come more ability than you know how to handle. All three sisters come together and all kinds of things happen. Good quick read.
Superstition is fantastic. The narration style, dialogue, descriptions, and mounting suspense all make for a page-turning journey to a little town during a magical time of year. Looking forward to reading the next installments of the Crownley Trilogy.
This book was fantastic. The character and plot development kept me on my toes. The articulation, the magic, the suspense.... I can't wait for the next installment of the Trilogy!
