Light My Fire by Christie Ridgway
Cilla Maddox and Renford Colson are children of a Rock and Roll dynasty. They grew up in the same community where drinking, drugs and wild parties were the norm and parental guidance lacking. As adults, the nine raised together have gone their own ways but not without personal issues.
Cilla has always had a crush on Ren. When they meet again to deal with an inheritance, Cilla gets up the nerve to ask Ren to be her sexual mentor. First step is hiking? He thinks he can help her get over her hang-ups starting with a slow seduction. That doesn't last long.
Sexual gymnastics follow. Lots. Detailed but not explicit. It was good to see Cilla become comfortable in her own sexuality. It was also nice that they went out on dates and had some laughs together.
But each family member has hang-ups they must overcome or they will walk away from each other.
“If they were anyone but the messed-up, mistrustful progeny of the careless, hedonistic kings of rock 'n' roll, there might be a chance for something here. Temporary, of course, but that didn't mean it couldn't be satisfying.
But nothing was going to happen, because they were the messed-up, mistrustful progeny of the careless, hedonistic kings of rock 'n' roll.”
