And that is only the beginning. With the release of those responsible for killing the family’s matriarch, a new alignment is formed with Toodie Perez and Bahdoon ‘Q-man’ LuQman. Together, they aim to control the streets of Saint Louis, but what happens when hearts become involved and Toodie realizes she may have bitten off more than she could chew when battling the Holland family and those who support the organization they now control? The streets will settle themselves; the family in Ponca City has their plan of action and they want Ben Holland to join them in their endeavors to control the Midwest drug trade. Being an ally with the Holland family is not to her suiting, but what will be her decision when a jack play goes awry and she finds herself in hot water?Walee is becoming ever the player. Moving about the state of Oklahoma, he and his best friend Kahlil Jamison run through numerous women. When they learn of a secret that one of Walee’s sisters has been harboring for some time, however, they both decide to handle things in their own way while keeping the family in the dark over their actions, but it could prove to have devastating consequences once the story is all said and done.Lisa Vanguard—the x-factor—she herself has goals to accomplish, and that includes taking down JunJie Maruyama and finding the true identity of Finland Xavier’s killer; but she herself has ulterior motives that could only be revealed inside the pages of The Holland Family Saga. The Holland family is expanding, and much more is at stake as old enemies collide, the real and true identities and intentions of certain individuals are made known and new drama is laid bare. The saga continues, and the story only gets deeper as this family, and those not only loyal to them, but against them as well, move towards an epic head on collision that will have devastating results. With a host of new and old characters alike, this family’s storied history is chronically detailed with vivid scenes and heart-stopping drama. The two-year hiatus is done with; now, it’s back to business for the Holland family as their reign rolls on in Definition of a Boss.
I am glad Ben and Samantha was reunited with their family. I cannot believe Koko let Chablis do her like that especially coming from a line of strong women. I wonder if Walee is going to join the family business of killing. He is smart man but makes kid moves. Hopefully in the next book he would have grown up some. I hope the family can come out of the next danger with no casualties.
It's So Much Gun Play Between The Holland Family And The Rest Of The World. Now They Thinking All Their Enemies Are Off The Grith Or Dead, But They're Unaware Of These New Problems In Play......
Major haters to the game, a huge move forward and two giant steps back all because of haters not staying true to the game. How Tonto that jealous and hate on his brother like that? I hope he go down in the cross fire! Peppi been rolling hard, I really hope she can survive what's coming her way and I really hope we don't lose any member of the Holland family. They dont know they messing with the wrong ones cause they gone come back ruthlessly and they don't forget. I hope they can get out and go totally legit.
3 1/2 stars...Didn't enjoy this book as much as the first 7. I thought I would have read it in maybe 2 days tops, but it was hard to get into. The story dragged out at times and I found myself skimming through some parts.. Mr. Black has good story, but needs someone to edit his work. There were so many errors, that it was very distracting and annoying...I really hope book 9 is better and also the last one of the series...
Clever Black knows how to put his werk in. I am very pleased with the drama and action this books entails. This is a 10-star read..... If you haven't been aboard the Holland train, now is the time to get your ticket. Cannot wait to read part 9, it's some serious issues about to be unleashed. Great job, as always, Clever Black
I'm loving my train ride this was hands down a magnificent read for me. If with the typos I was able too keep up. Job well done my friend. The Holland family is the stuff. You made the words just come to life. When I go to sleep I'm thinking about this saga. Looking forward to see how things end. Keep up the great work.
It was good. Definitely busy with all the nonstop drama. But, it wasn't as good as the other parts. For some reason, I was waiting for something that never came. Maybe the unexpected because things were happening that you knew were coming. However, it was still entertaining. I'm still a fan of the Saga and will read on to see what happens next.
Now that The family is all together it is really deep. I'm afraid for Whalee, And now I' m afraid to who might die next. Reynard is another mess, and now that Jada is making a move, it's on. The family really keeps it interesting with normal family issues even though they have their illegal business. You can't help but get attached to them.
Okay. I admit, I'm really hooked on this series. Just can't get enough. What can I say, Mr. Black is a genius at storytelling. In spite of some minor editing problems, This is the total package. Ben has returned. Hope he can be as effective a leader as Doss. Let's see what he can do. I gotta feeling that he's got to get dirty. No Sweat
Clever Black never ceases to amaze me. He tells a tale so gripping that it has you on the edge of your seat. Great job and I can't wait for the next one.
The book started out slow and never really picked up. I was glad that the family finally got together but I guess I'll have to wait for 9 to get some action! out of the 8 books I'll have to say 1 and 7 were the best.
The Holland Family has had a long journey. I love this family the closeness loyalty and love they have for each other. Ben is most definitely a Boss.....Good Book
