I liked the first book of this serie and I could not wait to read this one. I was left disappointed. It is just so very predictable. And really the relationship between Hannah and Will is just so wrong. It is a constant loop of not communicating:

1. They ignore each other
2. He becomes possessive when she is talking to another man
3. They fight without saying something really important.
4. They have sex
5. They go back to ignoring each other

And meanwhile they keep saying how much they love each other and how hot the other is.

Really where is the strong independent woman who trained her ass off to avenge her sister?!

Book Two : The Recruit Series
Book Two of Five

Will has sacrificed their relationship recognising the danger of a Lycan being involved with a human. In this instalment we are introduced to Reid, Douglas and Constance. Hannah remembers Will claiming Lycans enjoy their women ‘curvy’...months of training had toned Hannah’s body to that of an athlete.

Meanwhile, Marcus is on a quest to attain Hannah by whichever means possible even if it means using her family as leverage. Her sister is dead, her family members are being slaughtered. He offered Hannah a deal if she willingly came with him, he’d spare her friends and family.

In an effort to protect her friends and family she kills Marcus, exacts a promise from Selena and fakes her death - she reasons if Samuel believes she is dead...the others will be safe.

Soon afterward she resurrects to protect her family and we meet Tyrone and Luther, incorrigible 15 year old twin geniuses.

She reveals herself when her family is targeted in a bittersweet reunion. Will is understandably hurt by her deception, allowing him to believe she is dead. He is furious, yet refuses to let her go...she must battle her feelings for Will in addition to the vampires seeking her destruction.

The first book sets the tone, the second instalment defines the cast dynamics and distinguishes Hannah’s ever evolving skillset.

Using her new-found training to seek vengeance. Her relationship with Will is tarnished as her abilities improve daily. She is determined to graduate from the programme.

Will & Hannah's Story Continues.
pool passionate couple session W Resort Bali | Romantic couple images ...
A month has passed since the factory massacre. Will broke up with Hannah due to pressure from Richard, their boss, and b/c he thinks Lycans can't mate humans.

Another exciting, fast paced plot with: angsty romance, evil vampires, a traitor, a faked death, and another bloodbath. 🩸

It kept my interest from start to finish. I preferred the first half because it was lighter with some humor. In Chapter 14 of 25, the atmosphere gets darker and more ominous. In the final scene, a lot of good characters die tragically.

Sleepy Book

New to the Facility:
Douglas teaches at the facility. An older Lycan, he befriends Hannah, offering tea and advice.
Reid is a human trainer who's attracted to Hannah, but she's not interested.
Constance is a Lycan trainer who wants Will, but he's not interested.

Other New Characters:
Natalie & Jim, Hannah's parents, find out she's alive.
Tyrone & Luther (15), genius twins, raised in foster care.
(These characters added much-needed humor. I loved how Natalie mothered the twins.)

The Plot:
▪️ In the past month, many humans have disappeared in vampire attacks, prompting the FBI to investigate. The vampire uprising is growing, but humans remain unaware. 🙄

▪️A few instructors and recruits are sent to a bar to hunt vampires, where humans have gone missing.

▪️Marcus and vampire leader Samuel still want Hannah to join their quest to rule the world. To lure her out, they've killed seven of her extended family members. Meanwhile, a team of hunters is watching over Hannah's parents.

▪️Hannah is not told, until the Board decides to use her as vampire bait. When she learns what Chen (her master and friend) and Will (her love) have done to protect her, she's very upset. Douglas helps her understand Will's strong drive to keep her safe.

▪️Hannah graduates from the program, then goes to be bait at her parent's house.

▪️Hannah & Will rekindle their romance, exchange 'I-love-yous', and have sex in Hannah's old bedroom.

A Surprise Attack: Lycans have allied with the vampires, making for a tough battle. Hannah and Marcus fight in an old gravel pit. Before she kills him, he warns her that vampires know all about the hunters and recruits—they will kill everyone’s loved ones if she doesn’t join them.

Hannah decides to fake her death and disappear, refusing to be responsible for more deaths. Only Selena knows she's alive. Her parents and Will grieve her loss. Five months later, Will and other hunters run into Hannah and friends at a warehouse.

Hannah has been living and hunting with Heather and the twins. Will is angry when he finds out what Hannah did and why. (It's ironic, b/c he did something similar in book one.) The MCs reconcile.

Another traitor in the facility. It turns out to be

The final showdown at the facility with the vampires results in a lot of death and destruction. Hannah and Chen have a sword fight with Samuel. Chen loses an arm, and Hannah is stabbed while killing Samuel. On the night of the full moon, Will bites her and turns her into a Lycan to save her life.

The End.

Blood Thirst

Makes No Sense: The recruits are taught about vampires, yet Hannah is surprised to learn they have this thing where looking at them too long makes you feel weak and foggy. Will replies, "You resisted it well. We should have warned you about that. I'm sorry."

🤔 Umm, why wasn't this taught in Vampires 101?

Excellent 2nd book

Book 2 was miles better than the first. Fill of action and drama. Hannah has become a warrior with her swords and isn't afraid of anything. The ending of the last book finishes when Hannah took off on her own presumed dead. This 2nd book starts 5 months on from them and Will is still grieving and finding life too difficult wihh his soul mate. Hannah has become independent and strong. Someone in the facility is feeding the vamps information for their uprising and we find out in this book who it is. There is a lot of people in the facility that die and Hannah almost dies too... Sexual content... Highly recommended....

Fantastic!!

Lots and lots of non stop action. It was absolutely perfect I couldn't ask for a better book. Some time you just want to bang the characters heads together but other than that everything was breathtaking.

Wow!!!!!! What a fast great read….. The writing of the story is good, funny and heartwarming all at the same time. I enjoyed the new characters to the story. They added to the story line and made it more interesting. Will is just too amazing to be true…but I love his character. He’s so protective and caring, but will rip you apart in a matter of milliseconds.
Hannah is in a class all by herself. She is a bad chick who puts it all out to win. This story flows with great action and you just can’t put it down. I can’t get enough of the series!!

I liked meeting the new characters in the second book, they added to the story and kept it moving quickly. Plus there is several of the favorites from the first book again. Will of course was awesome and Hannah is a badass. You want them to be together and they're so much more then when they started in the first book. I'm really looking forward to reading the third book in the series. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have to tell you I am loving this series but it saddens me that there is only one more book left in the series. The characters are rich with quick, snarky humor, there's plenty of action, and the sex is off the charts hot!

This time, Hannah is progressing in her training to the point, Richard is considering graduating her early. Her relationship with Will is still over but they both are longing desperately for each other. Then, a new sexy Hunter named Reid comes to town. He is awesome with a gun, has a great sense of humor, and is sex incarnate. Will is not too happy with his flirtation with Hannah but he cannot do anything about it. It doesn't help that Reid is prejudice against Lycans.

Meanwhile, vampire attacks are increasing in the area and Richard has a revelation for Hannah that will send her world in a tailspin. On her journey for revenge, New characters are added that will add a new level of interest and humor. Additionally, we gain insight into Hannah's life prior to her sister's death.

So if I enjoyed this book so much why didn't I give it 5 stars? Well, I had a problem with a repeat of the idea of another traitor within the facility and that Hannah fakes her death in an effort to protect her friends and throw the vampires off their game only to turn around and participate in activities that reveal her existence. Although this somewhat irritated me, it did not diminish my overall enjoyment of the book. So, if you haven't read book one in this series, do yourself a favor and pick it up! You won't regret it.

3.5 stars. This was better than the first one as it jumps straight into the action. It assumes you have read the first book and doesn’t waste time setting the scene or repeating the events and character descriptions from the first book which made it better in my opinion. I liked how there is more action, more vampire ass-kicking and just better attention to the overall plot this time. It still has a focus on the romance between Will & Hannah but it fits better in the overall story. I also liked how even though Constance & Reid were thrown in as potential distractions Will & Hannah got back together without too much hassle, and how Will handled the whole Hannah

Received an ARC from the Author for an Honest Review. Loved it, Thought out the book you see both Hannah and Will fight for each other no matter what others think or what stupid things they might do. They are still trying to find themselves and fit together. The plot continues and am on the edge of my seat on who will survive and who won't. Can't wait for the next book!

This book was: even better than the first book (which I thought was incredible). It had all the elements that make plain black sentences on a white piece of paper become something wonderful.

Would I recommend this book? Yes/no? Why/why not? Yes, without a second thought.
