Abbigail is an attorney who has spent the last year working hard, after finding her fiance f**king his secretary. She is determined to live her life for her! She picks up a case where a local senator has been beating his wife, and then gets assigned a pro bono case to represent a mob guy. Then she meets two men who interest her - Lucas and Vince. Lucas is a cop, and Vince is, as far as Abby knows, an Italian wine maker (but really a guy in the mob). There were a lot going on in this book - probably too much for a shorter book. I didn't like either Lucas or Vince - both had ulterior motives for getting interested in Abby which makes them both dicks.
The Italian job, a missing brother, and a fierce American attorney what more could you ask for. Club Vietato (Club Forbidden Book 1) encompasses the lives of Vincent De Santis. Lucas Sanctus, and Abbigail Summers set within the US political and legal system. Abbigail is a strong, get the job done attorney who will stop at nothing to win her case. She’s a brilliant attorney who is known for speaking her mind. And that’s where she gets into trouble. Vincent is the son of the Italian mob boss. He is a seductive player and stops at nothing to get the job done. That includes getting the woman he wants. Lucas wants to bring down the US operation of the De Santis family. He’s driven, hot, and goes after what he wants. There are also a myriad of other characters that play important roles into the plot of this story. A mixture of suspense and some erotica, Club Vietato will heat up your library and keep you coming back for more. Be aware that it does end in a cliff hanger. Can’t wait to read book 2.
A couple of things about this. I love the story line and the whole legal / political slant. However, this writing style is not something I can get into. First, I dislike first person, but I can get through and even enjoy some books written in first person. Adding more than one point of view is also something I'm not in love with - but again, I can enjoy some written like this.
My biggest thing with this writing style is the sentence structure. It was very distracting to me. Normally, I ignore that type of thing, but in this case, I was having to reread several sentences because they weren't making sense to me on the first read. I am a fast reader, so if my brain doesn't compute, I have to go back to reread the sentence. This is causing this to be a DNF - but I really tried to get through it because I love Abby's character and the whole storyline.
If your brain isn't as anal as mine, those who love steamy mysteries, Italian mafia, political and legal thrillers will love this!
This book blew me away! You meet Abby, a lawyer, who after catching her fiance cheating on her with his secretary, locks away her heart, vows not to trust men and dives head first into work. Abby meets Vince, son of a mob boss, and Luca, ex-son of a mob boss and dea agent, and falls in love with both. She is going up against the crooked Senator and is ordered to represent, Nico, a mob associate, in a trial pro-bono. In the end she is pulled between both men when they both make her choose between the brothers, but when their connections and true last names emerge she abandons both unable to handle it. This story has a little bit of everything... mob, love, and the cops and it all blended together perfectly. It was a first for me from this author and I will be reading more of their work!

This book has more problems that a math book. Aside from all the problems with the story, it needs to be edited. There’s no way Abby would have the second highest score on the bar and not figure out who Vince is. He called her counselor the first time they met and she never told him she was an attorney. I read this one as part of a scavenger hunt or it would have definitely been a DNF.
Well I have to say this book hit the spot. Anything to do with 'Mafia' is a good read in my book! The story in itself was original, and although I could kind of guess where it was going to go, it still had me hooked. One kick arse, no-holds-barred feisty female and two hot blooded Italian gods later and I'm all wound up and waiting for the next book . I loved the characters I loved the plot, I found myself rooting for the little guy (even though he was a big as a house), hot, feisty & sexy with a twist of danger, it won't appeal to everyone, but if you like a fast paced yarn with an original twist on a old plot format, (god I love a 'gangster' story), then this is the book for you, I loved it, I can't wait for book two ;-)

The author did an exceptional job with this novel and I love it. I connected very easily with the main character Abbigail as well as Vincent and Luca. There are so many things that go on in this book and the mystery and drama are well written that it kept the reader wondering what would happen next. There are many betrayal and mostly a shocking twist to the story. Abbigail was a smart strong-will woman with a temper and smart mouth. This lady suppose to be this smart big time attorney and on her toes yet she is confronted on every end especially from an Italian and no bells is ringing off as being suspicious? The American raised son Lucas becomes undercover DEA and the Italian raised son Vincent takes after his father in the mob. They fall for Abbigail who has been mistreated by men in her past that leads to trust issues. The storyline was well written and solid except on several occasion, the story was repeated continuously as to the Italian history as well as what Vincent's cologne smells like!! WE GOT IT!!!!... The story ends with a cliffhanger as usually and leaves the readers waiting for book 2. Overall, a great story.

Two hot, sexy Italian alphas. One works for the DEA the other is part of a ruthless Mafia family. They lead very different lives but they have one thing in common, they both want her. Abigail(Abby) a DA, who can’t believe she’s been single and off men for so long, now two come along at the same time, and they both send her body into a hot mess. Also she’s been given a case pro bono, and a case that brings back unwanted memories. It turns out that these cases might be connected. Added to that Abbey’s been getting death treats. Wow what a great start to this trilogy, sex, intrigue, corruption, lies, passion and a sex club. This book has it all. Would highly recommend. Can’t wait to read book 2
This was my first book by this author and i really enjoyed myself. This book had me guessing till the end and then i was screaming “ wtf?!” While still trying to turn my kindle to the next page. I really enjoyed the characters and how similar yet different they each were. Two hot mysterious men and one very lucky girl.
I loved how this book kept you guessing. I love the whole dark forbidden night club feel and how i was wishing to be a fly in those sex red walls just to see all the dirty filthy things happening. The mystery and suspense and questions kept the pages turning and my heart rate thumping. I definitely can’t wait for more from this author, and so happy i came across her.
