Hot Dates: Becoming a Shared Wife

Rate this book
Most women would throw something at their husband if he asked them to sleep with other men. But Dana is NOT most women. Dana and Dave have a history of adventurous, kinky fun, so she's not exactly stunned when Dave confesses his long held secret fantasy. After some careful thought, Dana agrees and they proceed slowly. Hot Dates is a collection of vignettes exploring how Dana and Dave came to the point that she's about to walk out of a bar to sleep with another man--while her husband watches them leave. Dana knows it's a huge step into the unknown and can't help wondering if their marriage can survive.

I’ve looked at this series a number of times over the years and never jumped at it. I’m reading it now and finding out what I was missing.

This is perhaps one of the most intricate portrayals of a developing hotwife lifestyle between a husband and wife that I’ve read. I wasn’t certain how I’d begin this review and so started reading Book 2. I’m about 20% into it and have found out a bunch more about the couple’s history. It’s filling out the story nicely.

It’s evident in this book that there’s a very loving couple brave enough to explore their sexuality together, and discuss it as the outside experiences develop.

Yes, the sex scenes are hot, but the building and deepening relationship between husband and wife is what puts Kirsten McCurran at the top of this genre for me.

A heads-up: one of Dana’s “friends” gets out of hand and Dave is there to terminate a rape. What I didn’t like was Dana justifying it by saying he was “behaving like a guy”. This book was well before #METOO, but it doesn’t justify acceptance. With 3 daughters, I really hate it when women don’t take a stand for themselves. And I hate it when, by being a guy, I’m lumped in with guys who don’t respect “no”. N’uff said.

5 Stars isn’t really a high enough rating for this beautifully written and thoughtful story. Book 2 is looking like a solid continuation of Book 1.

ps: I thought that Sean’s and Hank’s reviews of this book were “right on the money”.

This is actually my second read of this book (first of three in a series). This book is lite on the hot-wifing seating the stage for the next two books. The couple Dana and Dave have solid relationship, kids, and are successful professionally (although Dana is a stay at home mom), they seem to have everything. So the author tries to lay the back story to how get into the lifestyle. And in typical Kirsten McCurran fashion she does so with great writing and hot sex scenes.

I'm always amazed how some writers have a style that strikes the right balance with story and character development while weaving in great erotica scenes that pulls you in and keeps you turning pages without noticing the pasting time. I haven't figured it out what it is, but this author has it and I don't mine her go to enablements. Like her the easy use of technology that capture sessions effortlessly, so the husband can enjoy everything later. Or how these partner have such get relationship that they quickly get over arguments and dis-agreements.

I would say most of her stories are, by far, hotwife lite without much in the line of understanding or exploring the conflicting effects on the cuckold. If you are not an experience reader of this genre, this is a great introduction; if you are, it's a fun and refreshing read until you jump back into those dark stories.

Now This Is A True Hotwife Book

This is one of the most believable portrayals of a couple exploring their hotwife sharing fantasies that I have ever read. Kirsten convinces us that the husband and wife have a loving marriage and genuinely want each other to realize their ultimate sexual awakening. They are honest and open with each other with no secrets, lying, cuckolding or humiliation. I liked that the wife was hesitant and cautious about going to fast or far. But don’t worry she eventually let’s go and the sex scenes are hot. Do yourself a favor and read this one.

The story is more of 4.5 stars. It is a fairly standard introduction to a hotwife lifestyle featuring the "watching wife get picked up in a bar" story. Wife slowly gets in to it. Nothing is too forced and there's no cheating.

Book one in a series of three, this was a good start to the series. Husband Dave wants his wife Dana to spread her wings and become a shared wife. She's interested but worried and not sure how far she wants to go, especially crossing THAT line. The book is long enough and the pace is a good one so that things do not happen so fast as to be unrealistic for the characters. Disappointed though with the need for editing from this author. To many missing words that would have been simple to fix. Looking forward to book 2 in the series and perhaps a better editing job.

This tells the story of married couple Dave & Dana and how they decide to try Hotwifing. Sharing his wife with other men had been a long held fantasy of Dave’s, Dana agrees to try and go out with the intention of pulling a guy, this was what the couple call their “Hot dates” Gradually the married couple are drawn ever deeper in search of excitement and new thrills. It was nice to read a story where the husband and wife are pretty much in sync and they both gain a great deal of pleasure from their “Hot Dates”. The book was an easy read, without too much that stretched the emotions and was generally well written with just a few mistakes that did not detract from the story. After Dana’s latest and most thrilling escapade, the book ends with satisfaction for all and is nicely set up for “Hot Dates 2” which I am already looking forward to reading.

Dana has always been a little wild for Dave, but she didn't know how wild he wanted her to be. He encourages her to be a hotwife for him, but she's not sure if she wants to "go all the way."

I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Terrific Sexy Start From A Wonderfully Gifted Writer

I hadn’t read this before and when I saw that all three books were available together, I grabbed it. But I probably didn’t save any time as I found this story to be so compelling that, contrary to my usual thought I had to review the books separately.

This first book in the series is truly wonderful. Indeed I found it to be a sexual page turner. I see that some readers have complained about the sex scenes not being enough, both in number and in intensity. To that I say that this series starts off differently than most hotwife/cuckold stories.

First the story is meant to be from a different perspective. It’s written by the wife and I’m happy to say that it is well done that way. The fact that the first two exploits by our heroine fall somewhat flat, makes sense when looking from an actual beginning of a hotwife career.

I love that it’s more from a female perspective. I love that she has misgivings, even as she’s doing the ultimate first copulation. It makes perfect sense to me.

She’s a wife and mother, but still finds some hidden sexual desires, generated by her husband’s kink. Once she gets up enough courage to take it to the limit, she’s all in. And her worry shifts from whether she can do it and perform well enough, to an oh my god night and what happens if my husband can’t take this and wants me to stop!

As I read, I was taken by how close I felt to her and after she has essentially spent all night having sex, how in the world could she ever stop. Fortunately her husband felt true to the cause. So we get to have further exploits from this newly opened sexual beast.

I’m certainly taken by her capturing the spirit of this and can’t wait to see if she doesn’t just grab it and run with it. I don’t know what will happen if her husband starts to feel that he can’t take it anymore. I don’t see how she could stop.

I hope the further books continue to focus on her desires and actions. I think that will be very sexy and interesting, say nothing about being satisfying to the soul. Let’s tip our glass to female sexuality. We will all be better for it.

This book is a richly detailed chronicle of one couple's journey into Wife Sharing. Kirsten does a great job of getting into the wife's mind. She takes us through the many steps, from shock when her husband explains his fetish, to hesitant interest as she learns to enjoy the attention from other men. When the end comes and it's time to go all the way... We'll, you'll just have to read it.

This book is very hot, very vivid. I'm glad book two is already available, cause that's what I'm reading next. Although this book itself has a fully contained story, no cliffhangers. I just want to see what happens next to this couple.

Really fun hotwife story. Dana was really sexy. I just wish she would have teased Dave a bit more.
