Skin Deep #2

Under My Skin

Rate this book
One little piercing. That’s all Allie wanted when she dragged her best friend into Skin Deep. She never imagined that it would result in a busted lip and an engagement ring for Emma, or that it would come with a double side of six-foot plus, tattooed, sexy-as-sin, H.O.T. maleness for her! Now she’s torn because Brandon and Jackson have both let it be known that they want her. And both are used to getting what they want. But what about what Allie wants?

Brandon is hot for Allie. So is Jackson. Neither of them are willing to step aside for the other and they’re tired of Allie running. So they hatch a plan…

Add in wedding bells, a dog named Doug, and you’ve got a recipe for a good time. Or a disaster.

Recommended for readers 18+ due to HOT sexual encounters, adult situations, and language. This is book two of the Skin Deep Series; recommended to read after Skin Deep, book one of the series.

2 EXTREMELY HOT and TATTED males and one HOT female. Need I say more?!

 photo WINKGIF_zps0215e2af.gif

'My orgasm seemed to go on and on, fed gluttonously by the thick sounds of flesh slapping flesh, the wild, almost animalistic thrusts of them into my quivering body… and then I was turned inside out as they both growled and shouted as they came, flooding my body with scalding heat and sending me headlong into another mind-numbing release.' -Allie

In Skin Deep(book #1) we meet the feisty best friend of Emma. Allie. Allie had her bf tag along with her to Skin Deep because she wanted to get her tongue pierced however both women leave the shop with more then they ever intended. Emma meets and falls for Lucas while Allie gets two HOT willing males offering to make her happy. Yet somehow she resists temptation.

In Under My Skin Brandon and Jackson decide that if Allie cannot make a decision then they'll just make one for her.

"We want it to work because we both want more from you.” -Jackson

They decide that they will both be with Allie....AT THE SAME TIME!!

She agrees! I mean come on who wouldn't!

My Thoughts
I enjoyed this quick read. J.M. Stone sure does know how to bring it with the steamy scenes. The chemistry between these three was done well.
I think the story had a few predictable turns and a continued plot line seemed to have dropped or maybe the other twist just took precedence. Either way I felt a continued plot from book 1 came up short, it was mentioned then dropped. That plus the predictable twist effected my rating thus 3.5 stars.

What I really can't wait for is Chloe's book. I loved her character she was shy and reserved and after the way she showed up I am anxious for her story. And with the way Stone writes I know it's going to be one steamy read!

Overall I like this authors writing style she give a great cast of secondary characters that will have laughing out loud and/or scrunching your face up in disgust. Either way good times are had all around. I will definitely continue with the series!

OMG!!! I don't even know what to say.

This book was so HOT!!!
I mean really two Hot Gorgeous Men, what more can you ask for!

I enjoyed this quick read. J.M. Stone sure does know how to bring it with the steamy scenes. The chemistry between these three was done well.

I loved Brandon, but I think I had a bit of a soft spot for Jackson. A bit sad how it turned out at the end, but I mean she got her Guy.

If you in the mood for a nice quick/steamy read. Pick it up NOW!!

Can't wait for Chloe's story...

Under My Skin is the second book in the Skin Deep series. It is a well written and well edited romance novel. In this book we are told the story of Allie's ménage relationship with Jackson and Brandon.

Jackson and Brandon have moved in to Allie's house and their new romantic relationship is in it's infant stages. Chloe, Jackson's sister, moves in with them to escape an abusive boyfriend which causes a breakdown of their relationship. Chloe is aware of her negative influence as evidenced by her frequent apologies to Allie.

This is where the book lost me. Allie knew that something was going wrong and was jealous of Chloe's growing friendship with Brandon. But the author had Allie denying her feelings and acting like everything is alright. I would have liked this book if Allie had confronted Chloe and set some ground rules for her. I also would have loved to see Allie acknowledge her jealousy.

I don't consider the end of this book a HEA even though it is meant to be one. In fact, I felt so negative about Chloe and Brandon that I am going to skip any book that is written about them.

1.5.... spoilers!! I loved the first book and this one got off to a great start with her relationship with both guys. Loved how their relationship progressed and then Jackson's sister shows up after being beaten up by her boyfriend. Then Allie starts having some jealousy issues. Unfortunately I didn't feel it had a HEA and was very disappointed in how things ended up.

Would've rated it higher based on the beginning of the book, but the way one of the guys just broke up with Allie. Really annoying because they both insisted they were ready to have a relationship with her and first sign of seriousness and they're done. I'll be sooo annoyed if the next book is Chloe and Brandon!

I loved the first book and couldn't wait to buy this one. I was disappointed in this story because it just seemed to run on and on in a mundane fashion. I couldn't connect with anyone this time around and found myself skipping through the pages to quickly finish the exercise. Too bad that such an anticipated sequel fell short of my expectations.

Well, damn. Here's an author I love who I believe with all my heart has serious talent. I loved her first book and from that book alone, I made her a favorite author (and friend) and have been nearly nail-biting away my days waiting for book two.

This book contains the characters from book one and we continue to be submerged in a happy group of friends and family that most of us would love to have in real life. The scenes focused on friendship and family are close - not entirely - but close to being as good as in the first book.

But unfortunately, the whole love story fell flat for me. From the creation of their bond to the moments the characters spend together nurturing their relationship, the writing felt rushed, flat, and lacked the emotion I loved in the first book. Similar to another reviewer, I did find myself swiping across pages just to move on. I don't know if it was because my hopes were too high, I just didn't like this round of main characters as much, or if truly, the writing was not as rich as before. My honest thought is that it's probably a combination of all three.

There's going to be a third book, and I already know I'll like those main characters more than these. I also know that after how much I loved book one, there's no way I'm giving up on this author. I'll keep her as a fave (and a friend if she doesn't toss me) and I'll buy book three when it comes out.

Ok. Deep breaths. LOVE these characters. But I'm sorry, I can not get a handle AT ALL about what went on. First half of book was easy peasy. Kept waiting for the conflict. When it finally happened, it was just a flurry of "wtf's" and "oh hell no, this is not the way this should go" flying through my head. I wont spoil it. But some characters I truly loved I am now glaring daggers at, and other supposedly "innocent" ( my ass) ones, newly introduced, i have mentally pummelled to death! I already know what the next book is going to be about or eventually where this road will lead if not in the next book. I REALLY hope its not the next one cause i seriously need some time to come to terms with how this ended. Happy ending? I guess so. Not so much for me though. Will i continue this series even though i wanted to hurl my nook across the room and scream and punch stuff? Absolutely. I do love this gang way too much not too. But if your expecting what you think your expecting.... Think again. Its not what your expecting. Serious mind f****!

Like I said in my review of Skin Deep, I would NOT be opposed to a happy little menage trios in this book! I can honestly not decide which hot guy I want for Allie, Jackson or Brandon, so how about she just have both!?!? Yep, that sounds good to me!!!

*** as a beta reader received ARC for an honest review ***

This book is a continued story of Skin Deep. I truly loved the characters from the first book and fell more in love with them and the added new characters in this book. I laughed so hard and cried my eyes out throughout this book.

Allie, the wild child and crazy best friend to Emma, has flirted with both Brandon and Jackson for months. Both are completely infatuated with Allie from the moment they set eyes on her. Neither are willing to step aside. Allie has a decision to make but how does she choose? Will it be Jackson? Will it be Brandon? Or will it be both?

Jackson has fallen for the fun loving best friend of Emma. It has not taken a rocket scientist to figure he has some stiff competition to win Allie's heart. He wants the house, the family and the love of a good woman to complete him but will Allie be the one for him?

Brandon has decided he wants Allie and has also fallen for the fun loving free spirited Allie. He wants her as much as Jackson and not willing to away. He and Jackson comes up with a plan. Will it work?

Tragedy strikes home and leave all the characters devastated. Major decisions will be made and the completely unexpected will happen. Be ready with your tissues!

Wow, so much anger in the reviews, even though you see it coming from some of the trio's first encounters. I liked how it turned out. Would it have been great if the unconventional arrangement ended up being forever? Of course. But everyone is going to get their happy ending. I think I liked this one more than the first in the series. I really look forward to reading more about the other characters' stories, especially Leah, if she's getting one!

The one thing that really got me is how the author always has the characters referencing their parts as "secret." Okay, so not everyone sees them, but everyone knows they're there!

Both Jackson and Brandon wanted Allie and neither were willing to give up on trying to get her. The solution....share her. What works for most couples isn't necessarily what works for everyone. Jackson, Brandon and Allie are able to make the three of them together work. Life goes on and things are great. Emma and Luke are getting married and bachelorette and bachelor parties take place. We have the wedding too - their wedding vows are really awesome. During this time, Chloe, Jackson's sister shows up and stays and becomes a good friend. Then there's an accident and things change.

This book ends in a good place. Can't wait to see what happens in the next book which I bet is about Chloe and a certain tattoo artist. Good read with funny parts and a crazy dog named Doug.

Really? From the starting I was given the impression that this is a menage and the three main characters are suppose to be together. Then all of a sudden Jacks sister shows up and everything changes. And in the end everything changes, and we weren't even given the chance to take it in. I hated the end. Which of course ruined the whole book for me. It was going great right before one of the characters breaks it off. Really? Why make invest so much energy building this three way relationship throughout the entire book just so it can become two way in the end? So there can be a possible book three? With Jacks sister and the character that broke it off?

This one had potential to be awesome but then... I don't know, I just got bored... too many sex scenes (a few really, really hot ones!), some of the same words and expressions from the first book (I understand that they're the same characters but still)... and I can't say I'm completely happy with how things ended with Brandon, I like him too much so reading about him hurting didn't sit well with me... also, if the next book is about him and "the sister", how am I supposed to believe or have faith in him when just a couple of months ago he was in a serious relationship and now there's someone else?, and not only that but just a few days after he broke up said serious relationship, he was kissing someone else?

The only reason for the three stars is because it just not as good as the first book. I loved the dog, puppy, kids and party antics. I laughed so many times. I think I peed myself a few times
I am, though, not so please with a few, Brandon and Cloe's, charactors. Even to the end, I thought all will be well again.... so sad....

My Review: If you are a fan of erotic romance with a mix of hilarious laugh out loud moments, then you are in for a treat. If you've never read an erotic romance with large amounts of humor, then this is the series to start with. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Under My Skin is the 2nd book in J.M. Stone's Skin Deep series. About halfway through this book, I was fist pumping in the air. Why, you ask? Well, let me go back. Quite a few months ago, I came across Skin Deep, which was Emma and Luke's story. While I enjoyed it very much, there were some problems with the writing, such as excessive bouts of detail. I of course spoke about this in my mini-review on goodreads and soon noticed that other reviewers had complained about the same thing. So why was I fist pumping in the air halfway through Under My Skin? I guess what I was feeling was a sense of admiration. I was proud of J.M. Stone for taking some of the negative (or helpful, depending on how you look at it) criticism that she received from Skin Deep and using it to clean up the problems going into Under My Skin. Now, I don't want people thinking this changed Stone's style of writing. Thankfully she was able to keep it intact which I was praising the heavens for, because this woman creates some of the most hilarious (and hottest!) scenes I've ever read, which is saying something!

I also liked that Under My Skin picks up where Skin Deep ends. There's no monkey business, we just dive right into the story. Allie, who for the majority of Skin Deep, was dodging both Jackson and Brandon's advances, gets tricked by her best friend Emma in the beginning of Under My Skin. She finds herself alone with the two hotties, where they both finally admit how they feel about her, forcing Allie to confront her own feelings. With some persuasion, they convince her to give the unconventional relationship a shot.

Now I must say that while this book could technically be read as a stand-alone, Under My Skin would be better enjoyed if Skin Deep is read first. There is some backstory in book 1 that is quite beneficial going into book 2, such as how Brandon and Jackson start to show their interest in Allie and how she doesn't really know how to handle it. Are they just looking for a threesome, or do they want something more serious? If they do want something serious with her, what would other people think? Also, Stone truly has a gift when it comes to creating lively, memorable characters. In most sequels, you are lucky if you get a few scenes with previous characters popping in for a visit. However, in Under My Skin, almost all of the characters from book 1, especially Emma (Allie's best friend) and Luke (Brandon's brother and Jackson's best friend), make an appearance in book 2, and they all have their important roles to play, especially to keep the momentum of the humor alive. So my point is, if you haven't read Skin Deep, I'd make it a priority before delving into Under My Skin.

Speaking of humor...have I mentioned how FREAKIN' funny Under My Skin is??? Okay, you probably are all getting tired of me saying it but this truly is J.M. Stone's signature style. She has the ability to start a scene with a serious tone but then before you know it, she has created this scenario that has you laughing out loud. I think what makes it work is the majority of these humorous scenes could actually happen in real life. It made the characters feel more realistic, more human, especially Allie and Emma's best friend relationship which reminds me so much of my 18 year relationship with my best friend. I wish I could explain in detail every single hilarious moment in Under My Skin, but then that would be spoiling the story, so I will only go as far as to hint at some of my favorites: Luke and Emma's mischievous dog named Doug, Allie's cantankerous grandmother, Allie's adult sex toy party, in particular, a dildo nicknamed "Big Kirk", the cat shaving incident, and the list goes on!

Under My Skin wouldn't be considered an erotic romance novel if it didn't have some sexy time, right? Well ladies, you are all in for a treat, because not only is J.M. Stone gifted with writing humor, she can set the pages on fire with her HOT HOT HOT sex scenes! Oh, and did I forget to mention there are TWO tattooed alpha males to drool over??? I mean, just check the book cover!!! Which I love, by the way. Anyway, I digress...sometimes writing threesome love scenes can be tricky, because you want to make sure the reader doesn't get confused as to who is doing what. J.M. Stone does not have this problem at all. She was very clear in her distinction between Brandon and Jackson, which was awesome, because there is nothing more annoying then when you are getting into a really good sex scene but have to go back a page or two because you can't figure out who is who. I also like the fact that Allie gets her alone time with each guy. I think this was a brilliant idea because it's in those scenes when you get to see how different each man makes love to Allie, so that when all three come together, you get a pretty good idea who is doing what with and to her, without having to constantly say, "Brandon did this" or "Jackson did that." Stone definitely has some mad skills in that department!

So you're probably wondering why I gave Under My Skin 4 out of 5 stars after raving about it-- and make no mistake, I will always rave about it because it is really good. There is only one issue that troubled me and it's extremely hard to discuss in detail here because it would be a huge spoiler and the last thing I want to do is spoil the whole damn thing. So I will do my best to explain the issue while being vague. Kinda like a ninja! Anyway, something happens towards the end of the story that I truly didn't see coming. Apparently, I am not alone after skimming through some other reviews. I had the unique chance to vent my feelings to the author and she told me that she felt it was pretty obvious early on and that there were signs along the way. I'm glad I didn't write this review right away because it gave me some time to figure out exactly what bothered me about this surprising turn of events. This is what I came up with. Authors sometimes forget that they have a closer relationship to the characters then readers. So what may seem so apparent in their eyes may not be so easy for the reader to see. Was there 1 or 2 moments in the story that made me pause? Yes. But those particular things were so subtle and they definitely did not set me on the track the author clearly intended for me. What bothered me is not so much what happened, but how it happened. The series of events to get to that point in the story was poorly executed. Unexpected endings are cool IF the author can sell it to me, justify it. But unfortunately, the "signs" that J.M. Stone thought were so apparent in her eyes were really not so apparent, at least for me. That's why the suddenness of this particular choice near the end of the story felt so out of place. While some may feel the ending should be changed, I don't feel it needs to. Again, if that is what the author intended, then that is fine. But the transition for the reader to this big event towards the end could have been easily fixed with a few embellishments in a couple of scenes.

Under My Skin is truly a hilarious, erotic read by an extremely talented author. To see the growth in her writing between books 1 and 2 is very admirable and remarkable. J.M. Stone does this while keeping the integrity of her style, which is so important, because while you want to please your readers and grow as a writer, you don't want to lose the skills that are uniquely your own. I know I was being vague as hell towards the end of my review, but again, I didn't want to spoil anything or discourage anyone from picking up this book. Remember, if you haven't read Skin Deep (#1) yet, I highly recommend checking it out before Under My Skin. :)

This was a pretty good story. I liked Allie, Brandon and Jackson in book #1 Skin Deep and was looking forward to seeing how things would go between the three of them.

Allie is an unconventional but kind woman. She's the best friend of Emma (the heroine from Skin Deep and she owns and runs a second hand store. She's felt an attraction to both Brandon and Jackson since they first showed up in her life but she hasn't let either of them get too close. But things are about to change...

Brandon is the brother to Luke (the hero from Skin Deep) and is a tattoo artist and does piercings in their tattoo shop, Skin Deep. He's a good guy and the moment he met Allie he knew he wanted more.

Jackson is the best friend of Luke and very good friends with Brandon. He moved to California for a while and has a successful Architect business back there but he want to move back to Ohio and so he's opening another office in Cincinnati (around 30-45 minute commute from their town). Jackson met Allie when he came back to town for a visit (before he moved back) and he immediately started competing with Brandon for Allie's attention.

The story starts with Brandon and Jackson confronting Allie, saying that they both want her and are willing to share her but they want to know what's holding her back. Allie grew up in a rather unconventional (and a little crazy) family so she's not worried about her family objecting and when she thinks about it she doesn't have a reason and the guys take that as a yes. They pretty much move in with Allie right off the bat. It ends up being Allie's place because she has her own house where Brandon stays is a spare room at Luke and Emma's place and Jackson is building a house but it's still under construction and wont be ready for a while. They don't ask and just show up with bags but Allie doesn't mind and they pretty much fall in to a comfortable comparability living together as they slide in to a threesome relationship (m/f/m). Allie does have some time alone with both Brandon and Jackson and things go pretty well between the trio. They do the "meeting the parents" thing with Allie's folks but it's not an issue because they are unconventional enough that they accept both men easily enough. Emma's wedding is coming up and as her made of Honor, Allie has to help with the planning and all. Right in the middle of the wedding hubbub, Jackson's sister shows up badly beaten. It ends up she just left an abusive boyfriend and came seeking shelter so Allie takes her in and Chloe stays in a spare room at Allie's place. While Chloe was very grateful, I couldn't help feel a little a bit sorry for her because unless Allie's bedroom is soundproofed poor Chloe had to hear the trio's sexipades every night. LOL.

Time goes by and things continue to go well for the trio. There's some issues here and there but nothing very serious and there's many happy times. This little group of friends/family are rather hilarious so there's plenty of laughs in this book. I particularly had some LOL moments around Emma's bachelorette party and the morning after. Luke and Emma's wedding is shown and their vows are touching. Overall I liked how things went with Allie, Jackson and Brandon but Jackson was more forthcoming with his feelings to Allie and it brings them closer. Brandon seemed to hold back for some reason though and while he showed caring and even love to Allie he didn't say it and it left her wondering just how much he feels for her. Regardless of this, things are going well but an accident throws everyone in to a tailspin. Jackson gets hurt badly and there's fears about whether or not he'll come back from it. It takes some time but Jackson comes around and it looks like he'll have a full recovery. It's at this point the story went a little wonky for me because I really like menage relationships and I was disappointed with the turn the author took. Brandon pulls out of the relationship and it hurts Allie. The author did do a pretty good job with the recovery afterwards, making it clear that there was love but not enough for long term between Brandon and Allie...I was just a bit disappointed at the turn of events. Things end great with Allie and Jackson though and they get their HEA with a couple happy surprises in the mix.

I enjoyed this story. I liked all three, Allie, Jackson and Brandon and while I was a bit disappointed at Brandon dropping out I did like how things ended for Jackson and Allie. The end of this book seems to be setting something up between Chloe and Brandon and I have mixed feelings because of my disappointment at the ending of this book but I'll probably end up reading it. I'd recommend this if your ok with your menage not ending in a menage. :D

My Review...

Under My Skin is book two in this series. We first meet Allie, Brandon and Jackson in Skin Deep. With the first book there is a lot of sexual tension and potential with Allie and Brandon and Allie and Jackson.

In book two Brandon and Jackson are tired of waiting for Allie to make a decision and they both want her so they propose an 'all in' type of relationship. (Who would turn that down with two sexy men? ) So after not a lot of arm twisting Allie dives all in with Brandon and Jackson.

With this new combination there is a lot of sexy time but there also was still time for all of the Allie shenanigans.

Even though it's a bit unconventional Brandon, Jackson and Allie make it work. Their relationship is just accepted with their friends and family. Even though their friends and family accept their relationship, can it last? Well you won't know until you read it. ;)

I did like the book but for me personally I would have preferred a different ending or choice but even though I didn't get my version of my HEA it didn't effect the book.

In Skin Deep I loved the banter, friendship and antics between everyone and this was continued on with Under My Skin. I did like this book but Emma and Lucas are my first love and stay as my favorite so far in this series. I do like this series and can't wait to read more. J.M Stone has a good balance of fun, love, sexual chemistry, friendship, banter and angst.

So this book is the second to Skin Deep and I was really excited to read this one. The first book wasn't a favorite but I really liked the character Brandon and was eager to get to HIS story. From the summary description I was expecting this book to be like a love triangle; where two sexy men both are striving for the affections of one woman. I was right...kind of.

Jackson and Brandon both want Allie. So they both HAVE Allie. Together.....AT THE SAME TIME!!! Kind of hot? Not always..haha! It just wasn't what I was expecting that's for sure. I will say that the first (at least) 30% of the book is smutty hot sex, sex and...more sex. If your really into the hot romance books, then this wouldn't be a bad read for you. I felt like the plot just kind of fell short for me. It seemed like what was in between the love scenes was just filler and unnecessary details, rather than expanding on an actual story.

The story ends with somewhat of a cliff hanger, but one that I was expecting. Through out the book you can see tension or some kind of "relationship" brewing between Brandon and another character (Jackson's sister), and with the last line of the story I think it makes it pretty clear there will be a third book which will FINALLY be Brandon's story! THANK YOU!!!!

***I was given an ARC from Reading Bliss in exchange for an honest review***

Ok I want to start with the beginning. WOW!!! Under my Skin is HOT!!! WOW!!! I absolutely LOVE a good ménage. I was absolutely sitting on a 5 star read all the way up to the end. Then BAM!!! Out of no where it changes. I will get back to that later.

I LOVED the characters. Allie is everything I like in a heroine. She is crazy, funny, strong, strong willed. She pretty much knows what she wants. Well except she can’t make up her mind about Brandon and Jackson. And who could with two HOT,SEXY men chasing you? These two are sexy smoking hot strong alpha males. I absolutely fell for them both. I could totally understand her not being able to pick one.

These three had great chemistry. The sex scenes are steamy HOT!!! I found myself blushing while reading some scenes. I felt Allie had a good strong connection with both men, and was looking forward to their HEA. Well of course about 90% into the book Brandon backs out….

WHAT? I was so confused by this. Although I felt the author trying to distance he and Allie, I didn’t expect that. I really believed these three would make a life together. I was wrong. And to be honest PISSED!

I felt towards the end when Brandon breaks things off, that it didn’t fit the story. I was left even more confused by Allie’s actions after, she seems pretty much unaffected. Yeah she cried, one time. I just assumed she had more feelings for him then that. I could tell the more I read the more the author wanted Allie with Jackson. I LOVED Jackson, don’t get me wrong, but I LOVED Brandon more.

So back to my thoughts. I was sitting on a 5 star review until the last 15% or so. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the writing style of J. M. Stone. She is a very good author and I expect to read more from her in the future. I didn’t see many grammar issues and like I said I LOVED the sexy, steamy, sex scenes. (Say that 5 times fast). But just because I don’t agree with the way the book ended and I am PISSED I am giving it 3 1/2 stars.

This book was definitely worth the wait. OMG did I love this book!! First of all it is HOT!! Really HOT!! And very Funny!! The characters are amazing and so are the friendships!! When the first book ended both Jacks and Brandon wanted Allie. In this book we see how the three of them try to make their unconventional relationship work. I didn't think I was going to like it but it worked. They were not bisexual so no m/m. Emma and Luke from book one are a big part of this book. Their wedding and vows were tear worthy. Chloe, Jack's sister is introduced in this book, she is coming off an abusive relationship. She is staying with Allie, Jacks and Brandon and is helping Allie at her store. Allie is a little jealous of how attentive Brandon is with Chloe, but he knows her since forever.
*********Spoiler** **Spoiler** **Spoiler************************************************************
Jacks gets into an accident, Allie never leaves his bedside and admits to him she is pregnant and how much she loves him. Brandon over hears, he knows the baby is Jack's and not his, because he always wore a condom. When Jacks comes out of the coma, Brandon makes a decision that the three should become a two and that he is leaving for awhile. He is going to a convention and will be taking Chloe so she can pack her things and move permanently with all of them. Allie is heartbroken she loves Brandon too. Jack's and Allie become engaged, Brandon leaves her a letter telling her he loves her but he thinks they were never IN Love. I sobbed like a little baby!! I loved Brandon and couldn't believe how he could just give up on them. I loved Jacks too I didn't want anyone to get hurt. At the end of this book Chloe tells Allien she kissed Brandon. I am so hoping Brandon gets his HEA in the next book. I love this series and can't wait for the next one!!!

Knew I would like the hot parts of this book but figured the story would pretty weak - I was wrong, the storyline is actually very good & I would highly recommend this book! Allie is a cool chick, best friends with Emma & she meets Brandon the same night Emma falls in love with Luke at their tattoo shop. Then Jackson, their best friend, moves in and now we have two men competing for Allie's affections. This all happens in the first book by the way so we find that Brandon & Jackson, even though they are hot & horny young men, are actually very mature about the situation since they are such close friends, deciding they'd let Allie choose & if she wanted they would share her. It was way too unbelievable that her family would be so accepting of the situation - like really, you've got two hot men that you are openly dating & sleeping with? It is unreal that no one pressured her to choose & for threesomes this is how it usually goes. One man is hot for sex and the other man is the type you would settle down with. And sometimes it is clear from the very beginning that this threesome is a permanent situation. It is hard to tell where their relationship is heading until the end since Brandon & Jackson make Allie so happy! Emma & Allie are planning Emma's wedding & there are plenty of light humorous parts, and yet there were moments when Allie's future became clear & she was forced to make some tough decisions. And a little cliffhanger at the end which might set the pace for the next book, hopefully about Brandon! Favorite part - ok, so most of the sexual action for a threesome would be the obvious position, but I loved when Brandon & Jackson spent all of their attention just on Allie - four hands, two mouths, etc. And she could just lay there & count her lucky stars! :) Majorly hot!!

Book Worms was given this book as an ARC for an honest review.
We gave this book 5 Stars.
This Review was left by Melissa a Book Worms Reviewer.
Thank you Melissa.

Synopsis
This is book 2 in the Skin Deep Series, so Skin Deep needs to be read first. Allie, Allie, Allie is tired of fighting what everyone else knows but she finally gives in. All it took was one piercing, two men and a plan.

Brandon and Jackson both have a thing for Allie. They have both wanted her for a while and neither are ready to give her up.

Only time will tell and with a wedding and a few "girls nights", a whole lot of laughs and steaminess that will make even a nun grin.

My Take...
A HOT, BLOODY LARGE 5 Stars. Oh my word, this book was hotter then the first and I loved my the first. While I want to shout what happens at the top of my lungs, but I won't. Allie and two hot men that are willing to......

Nu uhhh you have to read it but there was a story that had me waiting for the next page, a heroin that was not only a fire cracker and took no gruff from anyone let alone 2 stubborn men, a nanny who says anything and does and a promise for more.

Oh and the sex...not even on the radar. I was contemplating well things, but you have to read to know what I'm talking about.

*** this review will contain spoilers**

Both Jackson and Brandon want Allie, so they devise a plan to have a relationship between the 3 of them. I am shocked that the 3 main male characters in this series have ALL at one time or another done this(and not just as a one time deal). The plan seems to work well for a while, until Jackson's sister shows up.. Then Allies green eyed monster comes out. HOW in the name of all that is holy, can you ask two men to share you, but be jealous of other women? This seemed like such a double standard to me. I want to know in what world everyone's friends and family would so easily except this senecio. No one seemed shocked or outraged by this.

I was shocked at the number of reviews that were pissed at Brandon for breaking things off. I loved Brandon and was glad when he walked away. I would love to see him end up with a monogamous HEA. I really hope the next book is his, and I would so love to get in his head even though all of the other books have been the female POV, maybe the author will change that.

This book was HOT (my iPad was smoking), and FUNNY as all hell.

This is a great story with well developed characters. The plot keeps you gripped, there are funny moments too, doug the dog is a hoot!
J.M. Stone has a knack for writing some seriously sexy scenes which I loved.

Allie’s, Brandon’s and Jackson’s story was definitely a fun one to read it was full of great emotions, humor, sexual tension, undeniable chemistry, some very sweet and heart-warming moments.

I adored the love triangle what a lucky woman Allie is to have two hot men to love her. I was kind of sad when that dynamic dissolved and Brandon's letter had the tears rolling down my face, i just thought it would always be the three of them, it changed the feeling of the book for me.

The story got very intense after the accident, there was a will he wont he situation going on with Jacks but i was glad when he pulled through. Jacks proposal in the hospital was awesome i just loved it, but there was a sad tinge to it though with Brandon on the side lines.

I was still holding out for Brandon to change his mind right up to the end, but i guess he gets his own book now.

I did like this book but i would have loved it if it had continued to be the three of them right to the end.

Beta reading like a boss!

I was provided a copy for an honest review.

Allie was amazing! She enters into a crazy relationship with jacks and brandon because both men are too interested in her to back down for the other and Allie wants them both too much to make any 1 choice.

The sex between them is smokin hot and their connection is real. Through the interaction both as a threesome an 1on1, it becomes obvious that one of the men has forever in his eyes when he looks at her. That's not to say that the other doesn't care deeply about her, too.

Emma's bachelorette party is hilariously awesome. I wish we could've seen the wedding from her prospective, too. But it was amazing.

About the 78% mark tragedy strikes and I wanted to cry for Allie.

I wish there were a little more to the ending, but overall, I loved it. I wish there has been more to who she ended up with, but I'm definitely looking forward to reading the other man's story as his chemistry with someone in the book was obvious!
