1) An overview of what Christians SHOULD believe and what Christians DO believe compiled into one readable book is an amazingly helpful resource to have. Welcome to Conviction Without Compromise: Standing Strong in the Core Beliefs of the Christian Faith by Ron Rhodes and Norm Geisler.
2) 32 theological topics are overviewed ranging from essential basics without which Christianity as a coherent belief system would not exist, to doctrines that divide Christians but flow from primary doctrines rather than being exclusively primary doctrines themselves. This was a helpful list, with a few caveats: - These are not exhaustive summaries of key doctrines but concise and digestible ones. If anything this book whets the appetite but does not fill the stomach. - On certain aspects of soteriology and angelogy (pg17-18, 198) I find myself in disagreement with the authors
Overall, a useful tool and quick reference guide. Used accordingly this volume has great benefit. -
