Krystina Rivers has been a lover of romance novels since she was probably too young to read them and developed an affinity for lesbian romance novels after she found her first lesbian romance on a shelf in a used bookstore in 2001. Despite a lifelong desire to write romances, she never had the time to write her own until the COVID-19 pandemic struck, and she no longer had to commute to the office or travel regularly for work.
Krystina grew up in Florida but, after spending six years in the military, now calls Chicago home. She works in commercial real estate and lives with her wife and their two dogs and three cats. Such a feel good story!

Lucy and Tanner meet when they both reach for a piece of litter than turns out to be a winning lottery ticket. Stuck in a marriage where her husband is dragging his heels over a divorce, Lucy is desperate for a way out and her winnings provide just that. Tanner loves her life and career in construction, but meeting Lucy starts to change her perspective. Together they work out how to share their winnings but end up winning so much more than just money.

Loved this so much! I was hooked from the second these two met by chance and couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen with the ticket. I figured they were going to win but had no idea just how much. They really had that life-changing moment where everything they knew changed in a single moment and I was so excited for them both! Both Tanner and Lucy were shocked to have won, but with Lucy’s career and situation she had all the expertise to make sure they were both going to benefit from the win fairly and get what they wanted.

What I loved the most about Tanner and Lucy’s story was that it seemed to be hint that winning money is what you need to change your life so dramatically overnight, which is true, but that what you actually need is love and support. Tanner was that for Lucy completely. She was a catalyst to make Lucy think differently, a fresh prospective, hope, and so much more. It was Tanner that gave Lucy confidence to start making tiny changes, even before she knew of their big win. They were so good for each other and I was so glad they met.

I was hooked on every second of this story. It is packed with cute moments, dreaming vividly into a lifestyle only the rich can afford, and drama! I couldn’t put it down and was wrapped up in all the excitement from start to finish. I highly recommend this as such a feel good romance!

3.5⭐️ this was a unique storyline for me. Two women find a lottery ticket blowing by on the sidewalk. They both try to grab it at the same time, thinking it’s trash. They both agree that if they win $11, they will split the winnings. As it turns out they win the big jackpot.

Lucy is married to Will and has been planning a divorce for the past two years. Tanner is a construction superintendent. I could totally relate to Lucy. And Tanner was a wonderful person. This was a slow burn romance and a quick and easy read. They each have cute pets and great family and friends.

Thanks to Net Galley for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

This is my first Krystina Rivers book. I'm always hesitant to pick up a new-to-me author but I wanted to see how well the "winning the lottery/insta-rich" trope worked in this book. I'm hit and miss with them so far. My favorite being Almost Heaven by Susan X. Meagher. Cody peeing on the floor from the shock is a great part of the discovery scene.

Feeling Lucky was an easy read with lots of heart. The characters Tanner and Lucy worked very well together. Besides the drama with the soon-to-be ex-husband, everything seemed pretty easy and came together perfectly. Which isn't a bad thing. It just made for a book with little to offer except for a feel-good, light, romance. Again, not a bad thing. This would be a great book for sitting in front of the fireplace with a nice beverage and just getting lost in for an afternoon or two. We all need something like that sometimes.

OH! And so many bonus points for setting it in Chicago with plenty of mentions of Milwaukee (and our pretend WNBA team) and Wisconsin. As a Milwaukee girl, it's always nice to see some love for my city.

Thanks to NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for the ARC.

I love how casually flirtatious this is.

For some reason, I was a little bit skeptical of this book at first. I shouldn’t have been though!
I think when I saw that it was about a lottery win- I feared it was going to be one of those “The instant millionaires run away to Vegas and blow a fortune” kind of stories.
Thankfully, this was not that at all! I really enjoyed this!

This plot was interesting, and I think Lucy and Tanner are oh so adorable.
I love when I read a book where I actually have zero complains about either of the main characters.
Like they’re just purely nice, and good to each other.
In a world full of toxicity, I needed this.

As I mentioned at the beginning, their flirting is so cute.
There is so much of it! But it is done in such a casual,“easy” way.
I don’t know how to explain what I mean by that! I guess it just wasn’t super intense. It was really sweet.

Will is the MOST insufferable person ever.
This annoying, whiny, always crying, “you won’t get away with this!” was like a fly buzzing in my ear nonstop. Lucy was honestly way too nice to him! I wanted her to like, yell or something. Be less calm.
For her to be so worried about being with Tanner, on account of… HIM? Girl!

Very tiny mention of Sophie not being my favorite character. I never love a moment where people interfere, and try to make sure someone is "right” for someone else. That is so… not your call. (especially when its done in a threatening manner).
and then one of the biggest reasons she cites for her decision is something relating to herself and her son. Not even with Tanner. Odd.

Really not a big deal though, I’ve just gone off on a tangent.
It didn’t impact the enjoyability for me.

Random, but, pets with cute names!
If it makes me smile- I have to mention it.
I think this was really well done overall! Very quick, easy and likable.

I really liked Feeling Lucky. It was a simple plot but very well done.

Tanner and Lucy meet on a sidewalk, trying to catch what the believe to be a piece of litter that they don’t want to end up on the river, but it turns out to be a lottery ticket, and a winning one at that. Lucy is going through a terrible divorce so they decide that they won’t tell anyone just yet, but only the two of them knowing this life changing secret (and also attraction) brings them together almost every day to hang out. They become really good friends but also something more, even if no one acknowledges it.

I really enjoyed the dynamics between Lucy and Tanner, the attraction was instant and evident for both but they didn’t jump into something immediately. At first, I couldn’t understand why Lucy was so against starting a relationship with Tanner before her divorce but when I saw the lengths her ex husband was willing to go to become an obstacle in her life, I understood. It was nice to see two people who didn’t really change much of their lifestyle for having won the jackpot, for me, it made the characters feel mature and down to earth, not going crazy and their money going down the drain.

The plot and the pacing were really good. Just the right amount of pages, it didn’t feel like it was dragging nor did it give me whiplash. I’m looking forward to reading more from the author.

This was a nice novel. It was very simple and straightforward, but in all honesty that’s exactly what I needed right now. I got Hallmark Movie vibes, which is a compliment from me. It also usually puts a novel firmly in at the 4-star mark; I enjoyed this but it won’t change my life. I would recommend this for anyone seeking an easy read.

I don’t have a lot to say. The protagonists were nice together and I enjoyed their relationship. I liked the pacing/timeline on them getting together and it felt realistic and believable; thankfully no insta-love here. There was several things going on throughout this novel, which I appreciate, and no individual element got too intense or caused the story to get hung up. As I said, this novel flowed well.

The premise of this novel is that they won a life-changing lottery and although the novel spends plenty of time on this aspect it also doesn’t dominate the whole story, if that makes sense. These two are surprisingly unaffected by the win (obviously they are, but not as much as I think someone would be); it’s more of just a way to get the protagonists together for the story I think. I don’t mean this in a good or bad way, it was just surprising to me.

One thing that annoyed me (not enough to hurt the rating, but I want to do a little rant) is how much the protagonist was hung up on the idea of dating before the divorce was finalized. I absolutely do NOT care; they were separated for like two years at this point and were simply waiting for paperwork. HE had already moved on and started dating, so what’s her issue? Do people care about this in real life? Am I the strange one?

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read their book

its everyones dream to win the lottery to win big and this is exactly the story that you like to read when it happens to someone

lucy is having a hard time.... she is a job with a manager that doesnt appreciate her, she also has a soon to be ex husband as soon as he got around to signing the papers which he wont do.... and if thats not enough she cant even move out of the house she shares with him because she doesnt have enough money.... could her life get any worse....

tanner on the other hand is loving life... she has a job she loves to do where she gets to move around every couple of years to new sites but she also has her family that she visits...... and her lovely dog what more could she need

on this fateful day where lucy is chasing after some rubbish she doesnt want to go into the river she almost gets her hands on it when a pair of boots clump down right on the paper even though her hands were just about there ...how her fingers didnt get trampled she doesnt know and she is about to give those boots and owner a good talking to.... but they just look at each ....

anyway after investigation it turns out that the rubbish lucy was chasing is an open lottery ticket with several more draws to go... so they agree to share any winnings if any so putting lucy name on the back and photos taken tanner takes the ticket....

what they dont expect to hear is that its the biggest win of them all... and boy are their lives about to change.,....

have to say i thoroughly enjoyed this ride of a book... the feel good factor with handing in your notice at work wont ever get old... but doing it lucy style was brilliant.... her soon to be ex husband turned out true to type so that wasnt disappointing either but it was the growing attraction between lucy and tanner that draws you in and how they handle the money side of everything ... a sweet read and one you wont forget in a hurry

I wanted to like this book but if not for getting an advanced copy I probably would have DNFd it. Everything just felt a little forced and off kilter. Maybe it’s pacing was a little off where something’s felt too slow and others felt too fast, I’m not entirely sure

Certainly different. Interesting way these two likeable characters meet over the eye-watering amount of lottery winnings. Although they never have to work again they do use their winnings for good rather than evil. The stuff of ‘it will never happen’ dreams. Riches and romance.

Many thanks to NetGalley, Bold Strokes Books and author Krystina Rivers for this ARC! I am leaving my fair and honest review.

I was immediately captivated by the adorable cover on this book! The bold and bright colors with super cute and intriguing art just hooked me. I then very quickly became enamored with the premise of this story! We all dream of winning a huge amount of life changing money. Some of us even (ehem me) have a grand fantasy in place of what we might do, who we might help, where we might go and what we might change. I’ve never read a book where the central love story revolves around a set of people that have had the chance to live out this fantasy! I went into this book expecting a sweet, fun and lighthearted read and that is exactly what I got! I was smiling ear to ear and happily entertained from beginning to end.

Lucy Crowne is a sweet and lovable woman that finds herself struggling as the universe seems to be picking on her a bit. She suffers the lingering effects of a failed marriage to the world's biggest douche in the form of a drawn out divorce. Not to worry as the douche has in fact moved on, a courtesy of being a heartless ass hat. But Lucy feels tethered to him and is having a tough time moving on until she can be legally free as well as emotionally. Then there is her job…a soul sucking dead end job that she tolerates to…welll you know live…but hates. She is in the market for a little change in her life. Tanner is a likable and grounded woman that I just instantly found appealing. She is content in her life, enjoys her job and satisfied with the status quo. Then boom, Lucy and Tanner are thrust together in fun and inventive meet cute that will change everything! They stumble upon a lottery ticket and agree to split whatever the winnings may be,, all the while never even considering that they were about to become wildly wealthy!

Lucy and Tanner have great banter and seem to feel quite comfortable together early on.They got along so well and became fast friends. It was clear that they had an attraction and that there was more than just friendship between them but it happened gradually. I enjoyed watching them grow both individually and together and appreciated the organic way that their relationship intensified. They weren’t just struck down with irresistible attraction and instant love. Rather, Lucy and Tanner became bonded by this crazy lucky windfall and the bittersweet chaos that comes from sudden riches. They connect and fall for each other in a sweet and believable way.

Together they navigate through the obstacles, trials and triumphs that come along with winning the lottery jackpot and life changing money. The lottery win is the bond and captivating central focus but the real connection that forms between our MC’s far outshines it. Lucy & Tanner complimented each other so well. Of course they are tested by internal and external struggles and impediments but in the end they come out stronger.Lucy is a loveable character written with such a sense of optimism and hopefulness about her. Her character has been going through it but she remains strong and perseveres. She has a strong moral compass and is loyal to a fault.
Tanner is not by any means flaky but she enjoys the near constant flux and change her life allows. Not one to commit to a place or relationship for long, she is a woman of fleeting interest. But there is so much more to her. Tanner and Lucy are both likable and layered women that I felt a dear fondness for immediately. I was really smitten with both of them and was thrilled when they chose each other and a life together in the end. They were great together and just such an adorable couple.

The author does a great job of creating a compelling narrative and entertaining story. The writing style was easy to read, light hearted and really fun. I appreciated the pacing despite issues like Lucy’s jerk of an ex causing trouble, the love story moves along at an engaging speed. I never got bored or frustrated and was happily entertained. This was a real treat to read. This was my first book by Krystina Rivers but I really enjoyed her voice and will look for more from her!

I would certainly recommend this book for any and all searching for an easy, fun, light hearted sapphic romance with little angst and a really entertaining plot. I was instantly intrigued by the lottery winning premise…especially to win with a stranger who then ends up being the woman of your dreams? Uhhh yes, please! Our leading ladies win life changing money and find the love of a lifetime! A lovely and sweet read that I would encourage all lovers of sweet wlw stories to pick up!

i think when it comes to romance as a genre, if the story you’re telling isn’t very interesting itself you almost need a high-chemistry, high-impact, highly entertaining couple that can overshadow the plot (or lack thereof) and engage the reader. and, adversely, if you are writing a book with a more realistic romance that isn’t overly idealised or interesting in and of itself, the plot needs to be extra engaging.

the problem i had with feeling lucky was that neither the romance or the story were very compelling.

the premise seemed interesting, but i became increasingly less engaged the further i read. there were long sections where it genuinely felt like not a single thing was happening, and i think that’s mainly because the things that were treated as obstacles in their path were never truly obstructing them from anything. like, the worries they had felt like they could all be easily worked through in short conversations. even when there was finally some sort of major conflict it was predictable and quickly resolved.

the characters were likeable, and the relationship was very realistic, but they didn’t have the overt sense of magical chemistry that would usually save such a nothing-happens type of book like this one. with the combination of what i found to be both a boring plot and couple, i ended up feeling as if i was reading the literary equivalent of a couple vlogging channel.

i also had some issues with the writing itself. when i look through the annotations i wrote, about half of them mention that i felt the author was over-explaining everything in their writing. just as an example, i highlighted one sentence that read “tanner feigned disgust she didn’t feel but wanted to tease lucy a bit since she’d given a disclaimer before announcing her choice.” — something like this could’ve ended at “tanner feigned disgust.” because the rest is already implied. it doesn’t need to be stated so plainly. the entire book was littered with unnecessary over-explanations like these and i kept finding myself distracted because i was thinking about how the writing could’ve gone through another round of editing.

all of this being said, i wouldn’t discard this book for everybody. looking at the reviews, other people are clearly enjoying it. it may have not been for me, but if you’re interested in cozy romances and want a stress-free read, maybe it’ll be for you? shrug

(thank you to the publisher for providing me with an arc)

Lucy Crowne is running down the street near the river in Chicago chasing a piece of paper to prevent the litter from going into the river when she meets Tanner Laszlo who bends to pick up the paper. They discover it is not a piece of trash, but rather a lottery ticket that has plays remaining for some upcoming lottery draws. They agree to split any money should anything come of the ticket. A few days later Tanner contacts Lucy with the surprising news that they have won hundreds of millions of dollars along with another winning ticket.

This was a slow burn romance for a few reasons. First, Lucy has been separated from her cheating husband, Will Mudd (yes Mudd fits), for two years but is not officially divorced due to Will's stall tactics. Lucy, who is bisexual, does not want to rush into another relationship. Second, Tanner has dated in the past but has never been serious about anyone. So as Lucy and Tanner begin to sort through all of the lottery-related planning, they begin to spend a lot of time together. When all is said and done, they spend nearly six months together talking, dining, and doing a lot of touristy things in Chicago before their first kiss.

This was a fun romance with the lottery winning which kept the story moving forward and added to the conflict with Lucy's soon-to-ex, Will. Add in a cute dog, Luigi (Tanner's), a finicky cat, Yoshi (Lucy's), and exciting touristy activities with their newfound money, and all these elements kept the story interesting. 4 stars

Note, I would like to see a future book from Krystina Rivers focused on Captain Brooke from the two yacht charters that Lucy and Tanner took on Lake Michigan.

Lucy is stuck in a dead-end job and with a husband who keeps on delaying their divorce when she and a stranger, Tanner, find a lottery ticket on the street. They agree to split whatever the winnings end up being, and end up winning the jackpot. They must navigate the sudden changes in their lives, and find themselves falling in love in the process.

I enjoyed this sapphic romance. Lucy and Tanner are sympathetic characters and fun to read about, and Will, Lucy's ex, is a villain you love to hate. Lucy and Tanner's story with the lottery ticket was a fun wish fulfillment book, but it also reasonably portrayed the challenges and changes that you might have in your life after coming into a large amount of money, so it wasn't like there was no conflict. There was a good balance of the romance and sex scenes to the plot of the book.

My only issue with this book, really, was that to me it seemed like there was a bit of an issue with the writing just telling what happened instead of showing it. I would've liked to see more of the relationship between Lucy and Tanner being built in between the time skips, and more description of what it was like when Tanner's sister visited. Overall, though, this was an enjoyable, fast-paced read that readers of contemporary sapphic romance will enjoy.

An unlikely happenstance brings and keeps the mains together, but hey, it’s light fiction so I am happy to go with the flow!
However, the tension should come from one is “going to be leaving the area” but it isn’t emphasised enough that I am feeling it, plus with their financial situation it is choice rather than necessity, the whole “I love my job” hasn’t been strong enough either. It just all feels a bit two dimensional. I’m enjoying the mains but this just all feels a bit surface.
Half way, the mains have decided to take a chance and I’m a bit meh because I’m not really invested, I’m not celebrating them overcoming obstacles because there hasn’t really been any. It’s a bit like hearing from a relative that people you don’t know have got together. You say something to show you are listening, but you aren’t feeling.
I skim read some bits, just wanting to get on. There was still about an hour of reading left and I’m thinking I hope there is some tension coming…. And there was. It was set up well. I was aware due to careful word use by the writer that actions might come back and bite. Due to my ambivalence about the mains I was surprised how tense that made me. However this just wasn’t a great fit for me. It felt a bit….. well I said two dimensional earlier (as opposed to 3D!) but bits felt a bit one dimensional. 2.5 up to 3 because I did get interested in what would happen with the ex……. I feel he got off lightly but the writer did justify it….. I would have still have liked him to lose but it wasn’t a loose end.

Feeling Lucky the dual dreams of striking it rich and falling madly in love—a the same time! This is a heartwarming, cozy romance about finding yourself and being who you want to be when you no longer have to worry about being what the world expects.

Lucy and Tanner are a great couple and the dual perspectives show their different loves and interests (outside of each other). Their voices are pretty similar, but they are also dealing with similar realities. Still, I would have preferred if their internality was more nuanced and varied between the two of them.

Krystina Rivers gives us a whole cozy cupcake of wish-fulfillment sprinkled with some fun spicy scenes for good measure. My only wish is that the filling was a little richer, but perhaps I just like some tartness with my sweetness.

I should have absolutely trusted the blurb for what this story would be, but a part of me kept expecting or hoping for some sort of twist that added a complication. Outside of finalizing Lucy's divorce and drama surrounding that, there's no external conflict to propel the story. Indeed, the internal conflicts are largely just a matter of "Are we going too fast? Should we be doing this?" I needed something more from Tanner's life to cause stressors on the burgeoning romance.

Feeling Lucky is a sweet, cozy romance novel. Tanner and Lucy find a lottery ticket and agree to split whatever winnings they may get, which ends up being the jackpot. We see Lucy and Tanner's relationship developing as they begin to spend more time together and rely on each other throughout the new changes of their life.

The pacing of this story was good, it was not "insta" love and there were some internal struggles that Lucy and Tanner had to deal with before beginning a relationship. I felt that Lucy's struggles were realistic and I appreciated that. The only thing I found myself wishing for were more little scenes between Tanner and Lucy between time skips, showing their relationship develop deeper.

I appreciated that instead of a third act break up, the two main characters worked together to face the issues that they had (Lucy's ex-husband). It was refreshing to see the characters use adversity to strengthen their relationship instead of breaking up.

Overall I give this a solid 4 stars. I would definitely recommend this cozy sapphic story!

(3.5 Stars) Easy, feel good romance. Lucy Crowne hates job and can’t get husband to sign off on the divorce papers. Tanner Laszlo loves her nomad life as a construction superintendent. The pair meet when they find a lottery ticket together. They laughingly make a pact to split any winnings. But their lives change when the ticket turns out to be a power-ball winner.

The characters are easy to like and of course you’d like to be in their shoes. I like that place over months, not just weeks. You can feel their friendship bloom. But I didn’t feel real tension in the story. Tanner is planning to leave for the next construction sight eventually but it never feels like a real dilemma that they struggle with. Same with the divorce issue which works out about how you think it will. If you want a low angst, pleasant romance set in Chicago, this works. But there are no big surprises.

I have read and enjoyed the author’s previous books and will continue to look for future ones from her. Thank you to NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for the eARC and I am leaving an honest review.

Lucy is struggling to get free both from her husband Will as well as a really shitty boss. She is forced to stay a bit longer with both because of financial reasons. When she comes across sexy Tanner hunting for what she thinks is trash but is a lottery ticket they for fun decide to stay in touch and spilt any potential proceeds. They have such an unbelievable luck and win the jackpot. Lucy can finally quit her job and leave her husband and start something new.

It was such a sweet story about Lucy and Tanner connecting over this lottery ticket and not only get filthy rich but also win an amazing friendship and potentially so much more where the money plays such a small role. They face some challenges on the way, the fact that Lucy’s divorce isn’t finalized yet and her shit husband Will try to mess things up. It is however always clear that no matter what they will find the happiness and love they deserve with each other.

Feeling Lucky is such a fun, feel-good romance that hits all the right cozy notes. Lucy’s life is a mess — awful job, stubborn almost-ex, stuck in a house she can’t leave — while Tanner’s living her best life, hopping from construction site to site with her dog by her side. When they accidentally find a lottery ticket together and decide to split any winnings, things take a wild turn after it turns out to be the big jackpot.

I loved how their friendship grows slowly over months instead of days, and both characters are so easy to root for. Lucy’s “I quit” moment at work is perfect, and Tanner’s steady, no-drama personality balances everything nicely.

That said, the story doesn’t have much real tension — you can kind of see how things will go with Lucy’s divorce and Tanner’s next job. But honestly, that’s part of the charm. It’s low-angst, sweet, and satisfying, with a Chicago backdrop that gives it a nice sense of place.

If you’re in the mood for a comforting, happy read where good things happen to good people, this one definitely delivers.

Another good book by this author.

Lucy is struggling to get free both from her husband Will and her awful boss., but because of financial reasons, she's stuck. She meets Tanner who is searching for a lottery ticket and Lucy helps. They decide to split any proceeds and as luck will have it, they hit the jackpot.

It was a nice story about Lucy and Tanner connecting over this lottery ticket since it's everyone's dream of winning the lottery. Both Tanner and Lucy were both likable characters and the only drama was really with the ex-husband. I liked that they teamed up to do something good with their money.

The writing didn't feel as smooth as her previous books and the characters lacked their usual depth I'm used to seeing from Rivers, but it was a light, low angst book.

I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a fun book! I've never read anything by Krystina Rivers before and I can confidently say I’m a fan now. The story and the main characters, Lucy and Tanner, were engaging and I was rooting for them right away. Many of these sapphic romance novels are pretty formulaic and what define as an 'easy reads' and this book definitely falls into that category but sometimes that's exactly what we need! Fun, romantic, enjoyable. It's not rocket science and that's a good thing because I much prefer sapphic romance and who doesn't want to win the lottery with their friend then fall in love with them? Talk about a win/win!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bold Stroke Books for providing me with an ARC of this book!

Enter Lucy chasing a piece of paper down the street so it won’t get in the river. Just as she reaches for it a woman Tanner places her work-boot on the paper with the same idea. As they get ready to toss it in the trash they notice it’s actually a lottery ticket with two drawings remaining.

Tanner has Lucy sign the back, she takes pictures, they exchange numbers and Tanner holds onto the ticket. That moment changed both their lives. Yes, the lottery ticket was a winner but there was an instant connection between them.

The story is realistic the interaction between them maybe not finding a winning lottery ticket floating down the street. It’s a very cute story. Am I allowed to say cute. Too late.. 🙂

It was a simple, easy read, and I actually enjoyed it more than I expected. Lucy and Tanner were fun to follow. Both characters were easy to like, and I felt for them as they navigated their messy lives. The story was lighthearted and had a nice balance of romance and life changes. What didn’t fully work for me was the writing sometimes felt a little flat, and I wished there was more time spent on how Lucy and Tanner got closer in the small moments. Still, the pacing was good. An enjoyable read. Thank you so much to the author, Bold Strokes Books and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving a honest review

Lucy is stuck she trying to get away from her horrible husband Will who isn’t make it’s easy and on top of that dealing with an awful boss. Lucy meets Tanner who in her opinion like her life and doesn’t feel the need to change but when they find a lottery ticket decided to split it if they win anything and is shock when they win the jackpot they both want do something good with the money as they both grow closer together. I enjoy this read it’s felt like a hallmark movie and I like how the money didn’t affect them and to realizes the best prize is unexpected love.

This was adorable… outside of the annoying soon to be ex husband who could just not let it go!

Anyways… 😉

Lucy and Tanner quite literally run into each other one day over a piece of paper… come to find out it’s a lottery ticket and it’s about to change the game for them.

They decide they are going to split the funds…but they weren’t expecting it to be so much.

As the two navigate becoming millionaires-they try to deny their feelings, but ultimately cannot help but fall in love.

This was adorable. I wanted something light and this delivered.

🌶️? HOT.

Thank you NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books Inc for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author but it won’t be the last. I liked that this book didn’t follow the same formula we are used to seeing book after book. It’s a very easy, sweet romance with lots of spicy scenes and best of all….it doesn’t end as soon as the couple gets together.

I couldn’t put this book down. It is such a fun, optimistic, easy read. I enjoyed this so much, I will certainly be looking for other books by Krystina Rivers.

It is really nice to read a story with a masc, short haired person; finally seeing representation in such a lovely book has been very heartwarming (although, full disclosure, I do not have the same body, very envious of Tanner’s physique). Also I am a sucker for a cute dog and even the cat sounded kind of sweet!

I enjoyed that this story didn’t follow the usual ups and downs with a third act break up, it gave them a conflict to work and support each other through which felt more realistic to the storyline and emotions being portrayed.

The consent all the way through their relationship was a good touch as it suited the characters but also showed that consent can still be very sexy.

Thank you NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books, Inc. for the opportunity to read this inclusive story.

Fun read

Very enjoyable book. This book has interesting characters. The characters are likable and fun. Winning the lottery with a found ticket and falling in love. Thanks for a fun read.

This was a fun read! Isn’t it everyone’s dream to randomly find a jackpot winning lottery ticket? Both of the MCs were very likable characters that you wanted to root for throughout. There was little conflict besides the drama with Lucy’s horrible ex-husband. It was nice seeing how Tanner and Lucy teamed up to do something that really made a difference with their winnings.

Overall, I did feel that the writing was kind of clunky and there wasn’t a ton of depth to the writing or characters. But regardless it was still a fun, light read.
