The Crazy Sistas Quilting Club is headed to the Gulf Coast. Unfortunately, so is Hurricane Jorge...Dreams are coming to pass in the small, coastal town of Tranquility Cove, since Annalee Carson began visiting her friends, Niki and Danny West, who recently bought and moved into the original Cartwright house. While Annalee helps others understand the meaning of their dreams, she’s having a hard time remembering her own, and that is a headache in itself.

While heading to the latest and greatest quilt retreat in Panama City Beach, on the Gulf Coast, the Crazy Sistas Quilting Club finds themselves blown off course, and in the middle of Hurricane Jorge as it tracks to hit the small coastal town of Tranquility Cove head on. Their problem is the retreat center is being blown away just as the sisters are passing through town. Although the storm hits hard, the aftermath makes room for new dreams and opportunities in Tranquility Cove.

Jane P. Mitchell's Tranquility Cove Book One, Dreams, provides the reader with an entertaining and inspiring story set in a dreamy Florida Panhandle beach location. The lives of the book's many characters come together in Tranquility Cove where they face various challenges. Will new businesses prosper? Will hurricanes ravage the area? Can the transition to a new area and a new business be successfully navigated? What do recurring dreams mean for the future? These and other situations keep the reader turning pages. Quilting plays a large role in the story. Although I am not a quilter, the inclusion of this subject fascinated me and was not difficult to understand. Best of all, Dreams embraces positive themes: working together, putting faith in action, and receiving messages from God. Mitchell's books is a satisfying and worthwhile read which left me wanting to find a real-life place just like Tranquility Cove. In the meantime, I'll just have to read Book 2 in the series!
