In the aftermath of solving Lilly's murder and ending her relationship with Logan, all Veronica wants is to have a quiet non eventful summer, and that means not taking on anymore cases. But Veronica being Veronica, just can't help herself, and soon she finds herself going toe to toe with her would be nemesis, a girl who may be her equal, in more ways then one.

The characters dialogue was so similar to things they would say in the show, that it felt very real and familiar. The idea that there is someone out there clever enough to go up against Veronica and possibly win, was fascinating. I think it could have made a great story line for an episode! The way the story was told, as a letter to Mac, was a refreshing way to enter and follow this novella. You got to be a part of Veronica's thought process as she attempted to solve the case, which was a novel and inspired notion. The only downside was the ending, it was not exactly all wrapped up but rather left to the imagination, which can be confusing for some. Overall I think it's a still a great story and definitely has a place in any Veronica Mars fans collection.
