I enjoyed Mr. Stephen J. Fernbach's "Fortune Cookie Wisdom," which I think was the first volume of his poetry that I read. It contains a poem that has happy memories for me, of a day when I visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan with Steve and some other friends. I showed them the Arms and Armaments room, where we saw King Henry VIII's suit of armor. Steve wrote a poem about it in this volume; it's titled "Henry VIII Armor."
This volume, published in 2006, covers themes of loss, including lost love, altered mental states, prejudice, changes of fortune, money problems ... all common themes which people can relate to and understand.
