There's a lot to unpack in this first volume, and it's a little disjointed as it jumps from character to character. For some reason, Olivia seems to remind at least two werewolves of someone names Julia that seems to have met an unfortunate end. Something about Olivia also seems to calm some of the side effects of the medication Damien has been taking to suppress his werewolf nature. Damien wants to know how she can help him, and Olivia is desperate to find help for her daughter's failing health. Lucky for Damien, he's the CEO of the top pharmaceutical company that is known for their investigations into treating rare and unknown illnesses. Why are they both seeing these things out of their control and what does this unnatural tie truly mean? What is this Silas and priest up to as well? Seems they are also werewolves, but may be enemies at the same time. Not much clarity, but a lot of set up for a lot of drama.

As I have said before I am trying to get as many as the titles that are part of Seven Seas Steamship line as possible as I feel that a line of titles specifically for women is a good thing. That being said this was all over the place and not in a good way. The story had no flow and was jumping all over the place. Too much was going on at the same time with too many characters. I’m also not in love with the triangle that is clearly being set up here. Max seems like a total sweetheart and will of course end up losing. I am interested enough to continue on with the series. The biggest question that I need answers on is who was Julia and how was she connected to Olivia? Hopefully the next volume will have better pacing.

Olivia is an ordinary human who starts getting entangled with the world of the paranormal when she rescues Damian Brown, the ceo of a pharmaceutical company, who uses medication to suppress bis werewolf instincts.

We also see the start of a possible love triangle,as she has also captured the interest of her neighbor Max,who is investigating Damian, and the death of his friend Tommy.

Olivia has to make a deal with Damian,in order to save her daughter's life, who is suffering from an unknown disease.

I mean, I generally think I’m pretty discerning, and I loved this manhwa. Not sure why it has such a low rating. It has good art, a nice convoluted K-drama plot, and the writing made sense/wasn’t choppy. While reading it I thought it should definitely be optioned by Netflix. My only beef is that Damien seems to be the lead we’re being pushed toward, but no. Max. It’s gotta be Max. I hope the author doesn’t mess this one up.

I love the concept of the story but the execution felt a little choppy. There was a lot of jumping around to different characters and it got a little confusing. But the art is beautiful and I’m intrigued enough to continue on with the series.

3.5 Rounded Up

My friend also let me borrow this one. I think it’s a good start to a series. It’s interesting and I’m curious how it’ll continue. I wish it had gripped me more but I’m still interested.
