There were some interesting and new-to-me medical ideas. Reading the book also changed my ideas about osteopathy. There are things in this book that I definitely plan to research further. I listened to this author being interviewed on NPR, and she was fascinating. So why the low rating? The writing is dry and technical. There is way too much minutia. Much of the information could have been put in an appendix. I kept wishing for the author to just cut to the chase.

A very well written book about how the body deals with trauma and this physician's way of healing various health and trauma issues with osteopathy and homeopathy combined. It is a surprisingly detailed book on the human anatomy and how many different systems can be affected by injury to the head, neck, back, chest and stomach. Very current information as it was published in 2013.
