Holy hell! Talk about a DEBUT novel?? This book just reminded me why I need to read more thrillers. I was (and still am) sick in bed, wrapped in the thickest blankets I could find, and this book had me in a chokehold. I swear I blinked and suddenly I was at 80%, fully committed to the mess these characters got themselves into.

The story follows a group of old friends who are basically forced to reunite years after a tragic night that left one of their own dead. But the past never stays buried (literally lol) and when they start getting mysterious invitations it’s clear someone knows what really happened and they’re ready to expose every last lie. It’s givingggg One of Us Is Lying meets Pretty Little Liars BUT with even more twists because just when you think you’ve figured it out? BOOM. Another twist. Then another. And ANOTHER. Everytime I thought I knew something I was proven WRONG lol.

Also I need to talk about Zyon because that man single handedly carried my emotional well-being throughout this book. I’m convinced every thriller needs a character like him because he was hilarious, chaotic, but somehow still the only one making sense.
"You ever had them rolls that melt in your mouth? You don’t get that just anywhere. You feel me?"

And he’s not lying lol. My mind IMMEDIATELY went to Texas Roadhouse. Iykyk. I love him so much.

If you’re looking for a thriller that keeps you guessing, has juicy drama, and demands to be read in one sitting, Black Ivy Circle is the book for you!! AND I JUST FOUND OUT THERE’S GOING TO BE A SEQUEL?? Miss Jaiyah I’ll be seated for the next one!

The plot of this book was really interesting. I am not a fan of third person point of view books and this game didn't change my opinion of that at all but it was unique and dynamic all the same.

Meet the friends who composed Black Ivy Circle who may share a past but have their own hidden truths. The darkness and secrets that haunt them are unparalleled and this reunion is the point of no return.

When you point a finger just know you have three pointing back at you.

I ate this book up, from start to finish it didn't even take me a full day. It's not a complicated read and will definitely have you hooked. I will say it has a lot of slang in it which is not my favorite thing in books, but it certainly makes the characters feel more realistic.
